Fun fact: the Ghostface in dbd is not from scream, he has his own original story wich is actually really damn good, dude is probably one of the smartest ghostfaces. He makes articles and news of himself as if he was one of the main investigators against ghostface, and sets up cameras to "spy" on ghostface even tho it is himself, so he literally avoids suspiction by playing the strong smart detective, and by the end he reveals himself, escapes and then dissapears captured by the "ENTITY" nevet to be seen again.

DBD started as a horror themed cat and mouse/hide and seek game. It very quickly evolved into horror themed competitive freeze tag

If you're wondering why they are in the forest or in random places, it is because the killers and survivors were taken by an entity and put in a realm. That's not the full story, but a dbd lore lover can explain it better

Fun fact: the Ghostface is a very unique license in DBD. BHVR only bought license to the mask and created their own Scream-themed killer instead of buying license to Scream directly.

As you said, DBD started out as a small game and that's why you can see resemblance between the first few original killers and famous killers from media; like Trapper - Jason (mask covering the whole face, uses machete), Spirit - Sadako (both being grudge spirits coming back to life due to intense emotions) or the most obvious Hillbilly and Leatherface as they are nearly indistinguishable from each other

It's so refreshing to watch a reactor that actually knows his stuff.

You should look at the alternate cosmetics for some survivors: For the Left for Dead chapter, the OG 4 (Dwight, Meg, Claudette, and Jake) have alternate costumes where they can dress up in the outfits of Ellis, Zoey, Rochelle, and Francis. They’re not changed to look exactly like them, but DbD has taken that approach to their other survivors. For example with the first Resident Evil chapter, Leon and Jill are the two survivors you can play as but their alternate cosmetics from the store can change them to Claire and Chris. Steve in the Stranger Things chapter can become Jonathan. Cheryl can become Lisa Garland, Alessa Gillespie, Cybil Bennett, and James Sunderland. I don’t know if it’ll ever be in the store or if it was a limited time offer in The Rift (DbD’s version of a battle pass) but players could unlock the Wassup mask from the Scary Movie franchise. One of Pinhead’s costumes could change him to the Chatterer (the one cenobite that has no eyes and his teeth chatter) And DbD has collaborated with other folks in the past for their costumes! They collaborated with Attack on Titan and some of the survivors have cosmetics inspired by the franchise (squad outfits) and I think the killer The Oni has a Titan costume. And if you’re familiar with the horror RU-vid channel Crypt TV, their monsters have appeared as alternate costumes for three of DbD’s killers: The Doctor can become The Look-See monster The Hag can become The Birch Witch The Huntress can become The Mordeo. I’m excited to see even more collabs if they ever run out of liscenses to buy.

In lore, Bill was taken to the realm right before he died in the L4D dlc.

So, the thing with the Oni mask is that the person who wore it was the Spirit's ancestor, a legendary samurai named Kazen. He was enraged and awoken when Rin's(the Spirit) father murdered her and her mother with the family sword, the same sword that he used long ago, and returned as an Oni to take vengeance on the father, but was instead kidnapped by an Entity.

I love that you've finally checked out DBD! A few things: Survivors can't outrun the killer, since the base speed of most of them is slightly faster than Survivors running speed. Fortunately all of the licensed chapters are still playable, except Stranger Things. However, people who bought the DLC can still play as the characters. The Legion can't disguise as survivors. The Legion (in lore), is a group of Teens, who are full of rebellious spirit. They were basically DBD's version of Ghostface before they got the licence. Thier ability in-game is a chain hit-and-run power. They break out into a fast sprint, helping them catch up with survivors. When they hit a survivor while running, they injure and inflict Deep Wound upon them. Deep Wound is a timer, where if the survivor doesn't mend the wound, they will go into the dying state. (Timer doesn't decrease while in chase) After inflicting Deep Wound, The Legion's power bar is refilled, and they can sense the location of nearby survivors, allowing them chain hits and maintain a lot of pressure. They're pretty fun. On the topic of Ghostface, his inclusion is a unique one. See, they didn't get the license for Scream, they got the license to use the Ghostface mask. Scream doesn't own the Ghostface mask/costume. FunWorld does. That's why there's no characters from Scream in DBD. So Ghostface in DBD is an original character, and he's easily the scariest (and the most competent) Ghostface in fiction. Blight doesn't spit anything. His power revolves around dashing and bouncing off the environment. Players like to dub him as a "Living Pinball". The Trickster isn't from an anime. He's a sadistic K-Pop star, who likes to implement the screams of his victims into his music. That's not necessarily The Ring. DBD collaborated with the owners of Ringu, the original story from Japan, which America later adapted into a film called The Ring. So it's not Samara in DBD, it's Sadako. Yoichi is from the Ringu film, but he was a child in the film, and in DBD he's an adult. I feel like this is worth mentioning since the characters are quite different between the original Japanese story, and the American adaptation. Yeah, Knight can summon guards, but only one at a time. There's rumours that Alien will be the next chapter. Great reaction!

So about the Oni mask being in two trailers, The Spirit came out first, her real name name is Rin Yamaoka. Then later The Oni, Kazan Yamaoka came out, he's like Rin's 5-great grandfather.

All DLCs except Stranger Things are still available in-game, so you can still play Silent Hill or Ghostface or whoever you desire. This game can be competitive, but I feel like unless you're trying to be competitive or play to win, it plays very chill and I highly recommend playing it! It's very addicting. We usually get a killer and survivor every 3 months, so there's always content too. Might I suggest Killer Moris (finisher animations) or Rift Trailers (Battlepass videos).

That video is such a great reminder that we are very lucky to have a game like this. The Community likes to complain a lot about different things, but in the end it is a great time to be alive for a horror fan.

One thing is that this ghost face isn't any of the ghost face's from scream. The licensed the ghost face mask/costume and then used it to make an original killer. Which i think is very cool

I used to play DBD a lot back in like 2018-19, I dont anymore but I still love seeing new faces enjoy the content as I still watch the trailers for the game characters, you hyping so much over it all really put a smile on my face

If you pay attention, you can see the trappers traps and disarm them. The wraith isn't totally invisible, there's a little shimmer you can see to get away from him. You can also use a flashlight to burn him out of invisibility. The hillbilly can chainsaw really fast, but he can't really turn, so you could try to dodge to the side. The nurse is slow, and can only blink a few times before she has to recharge. Michael Myers is difficult to play against. He's slow, but he's stealthy as hell. The hag places traps around the map that she can teleport to. You can crouch over them so they don't go off, and you can make them disappear with a flashlight. The doctor puts out large fields of electricity that can stun you and make things difficult to do. The only counter is to stay away from him. (You CAN still play as bill) The huntress' hatchets are brutal, but she only gets a few, and she has to reload. A good huntress can hit you from across the map. Leatherface is pretty slow but the chainsaw has a lot of mobility. It's rough sometimes. Nobody really uses Freddy anymore, but he can create fake pallets and turn invisible. Pig is a stealthy killer, and she can ambush and come out of seemingly nowhere. Her traps activate after a Gen is done, you can try to take them off but if you're too slow, it's bye-bye. The clown can zone you by throwing chemical bottles to disorient you. The best counter is just running in a straight line. The oni collects blood after he hits you. If he powers up, he can move really fast and insta down you. The spirit can phase and move quickly and invisible, but when she phases, there's a sound you can listen to to kind of tell where she is, and she can't see you she can only hear. Legion is really powerful when survivors group together, if you split up there's a lot of counterplay. And legion is just a normal dude, he doesn't really have any supernatural powers. Plague can throw up on stuff to make survivors sick, or just throw up on survivors themselves. Her big power is to hurt them with the vomit instead of making them sick. Ghostface is stealthy as fuck and can stalk survivors to make them go down in one hit. A survivor can look at him and bring him out of stealth, but it takes a few seconds. Demogorgon sets up portals and can travel the entire map by digging through the portals. He's the only licensed killer you can't buy anymore, but if you had him before the DLC went away, you can still play him. Deathslinger is a ranged killer that can drag survivors to him to hit them again. Pretty badass. Pyramid head has a pretty decent range attack, but he can also put down traps that the survivors can walk through. Blight is incredibly fast, and bounces off walls to change directions. There's not much counterplay aside from staying away from open spaces and watching your corners. The twins are another one nobody really uses. But it's basically playing as two killers, you can switch between them. But if you miss an attack from Victor, a survivor can smash him. Eventually, he comes back, tho. The Trickster has very quick ranged attacks and has to reload occasionally. The counterplay is staying behind cover but that's about it. Nemesis has two zombies that walk around the map and make things difficult for survivors. He has a heavy attack, and a decent ranged attack. You CAN play as Leon, Jill, claire, and chris. They added Ada when they gave us Wesker. Pinhead is slow, but he can use his chains to make a survivor slow down while they try to break the chains. The artist can place birds that can travel the whole map, they usually don't insure you unless she hits you twice. They're more for information. The onryo can teleport the map through tvs, but the survivors can turn the tvs off for a short time. The dredge is the first killer that makes survivors avoid lockers. He can teleport around the map inside lockers, which is kinda crazy. If you watch for the locker shaking, you can get away, though. Wesker is POWERFUL. He's quick, he's agile, and he's a sassy little bitch. The knight is okay, but it isn't the best. He can place basically a ghost knight, which will chase you for a few seconds. The counterplay is just run in a straight line. The skull merchant can place drones that tell her if survivors are in the radius, and if they stay in the radius long enough she can track their exact location for a short time. Counterplay = run.

I don't know if someone has already said this but you should totally react to the moris for the killers. Moris are offerings killers use that they can do a special animation on surviors.

The other girl you didn’t know for the second resident evil dlc is Rebecca chambers, she’s the protagonist in RE 0 and a side character in RE 1 and I think a few other games I can’t remember. She was the youngest member of S.T.A.R.S. Being only 18 in the first two games I named above.

Idk if you’ll see this but the shattered blood line and cursed legacy are connected the girl that appears behind the dude when he relights his lighter is the great granddaughter of the Oni, and they gave her a skin in game that makes her wear armor similar to her great grandfather

Neat thing about the Spirit and the Oni is that their real names (All the kills have real names if you look into their lore) is Rin Yamaoka (spirit) and Kazan Yamaoka (Oni) They are related by.....I think it was 700+ years? I know Kazan was from the end of Feudal Japan and Rin is more in the modern era.

A fun fact: the survivor in the trapper (1st video) is the same survivor as the one in the hillybilly (3rd video) clip. They mixed up some of the races of survivors early on but she was already in the game trailer. To your point about diversity, Dead by Daylight has a lot of representation which is cool.

They also have William Berkin and hunky as playable skins. They ain't their own killers but they are in the game

A lot of characters such as Bill, Amanda Young, Tapp, and even some original characters were taken by the Entity before they would have died. If you’re looking for lore related content on characters, Pixel Bush and Ahzymovs are great channels to check out! For informative gameplay content, not Otzdarva is hands down the best recommendation :) DBD has taken a turn toward competitive play recently. It’s in a really weird spot right now with its rank system but, if you’re just looking to have fun, custom kill your friends matches are the way to go. It gives you access to all the perks and items so you can play around with builds, see what you like, what works best for your play style before you dunk your blood points (in game currency) into whatever character said perks are tied to. Each character comes with 3 unique perks lol so there are A LOT of different perks in the game.

i'm cheesing so hard watching your reactions to these, especially the licenses you're familiar with. i'm a big weenie about horror media so i've to this day never seen a lot of the popular movies that were licensed into the game and it's so sweet to see someone who loves them get excited about the trailers. i see by your pinned comment that you've played now - i hope it was a good experience for you

The mask with the blood pump for Ghostface you had as a kid is also in the game as a cosmetic from his recent season pass ahahah (Characters have seasons dedicated to them and Ghostface recently had one with a lot of iconic masks you could purchase irl) The company that created the ghostface mask also created NEW DBD themed masks

The girl you don't know is Rebecca Chambers who appeared in both RE0 and RE1. My girl has not been in another game in a long while but she was part of Stars. One of the youngest members having been recruited at the age of 18 after graduating university and is a super genius plus the medic of the group. After the events of RE1, she left Raccoon City to reattend University to get a few more degrees. She does appear in the animated movies plus some theater script plays.

Going to answer or give some precisions to a few of your comments: 3:32 Not only one of the first killers but actually the very first killer in the game, the mascott of the whole thing. Fun fact: His character won an award for "Best original character" at the Canadian Game awards and got a free mask with Mapple leaf symbol in the game to celebrate. 4:30 Yes it is. Survivors see in 3rd person but killers do in first. Also yes, this particular killer, name's The Wraith, can turn invisible by ringing a bell. The seconds killer added in the game and he was the first of the "stealthy" category of killers. While I'm on the subject, all the trailers are in chronological order, not out of order so yeah, Wraith is the second killer ever added and so on. 5:25 They all move faster than survivors, all killers (except one) but yeah Hillbilly, that's this killer's name, is notorious for his speed. 5:40 You escape that by many ways, when Hillbilly uses his chainsaw he moves faster yes but at the cost of his maniability, he turns slower, have trouble with walls and sharp angles so that's how you avoid him. Also yes the Chainsaw was indeed his special ability, all killers have a basic attack but also a power they can use, Trapper can put bear traps on the ground, Wraith can turn invisible and silent and Hillbilly, runs fast as fuck with a Chainsaw. 6:50 Remember what I said about every killer moving faster than survivors except one ? That's the one, the Nurse. She moves slower than survivors but she have the ability to teleport instead, allowing her to phase through walls and shit and easily catch up to survivors of course. That power is simple but it allowed her to be the undisputed strongest killer in the game by far, even to this day (she came out in 2016...) 7:16 Yes it is, first licensed killer in the game, his power is staring at people... No really he stare at survivors with his "stalk" ability which allow him to buff himself, faster, stronger... You name it. 8:49 The Hag, her power is placing traps on the ground which allow her to teleport to it if a survivor triggers it by passing near it. 10:19 His power is shocking survivors to make them go mad which allow him to gain time and spot them more easily since they scream randomly and it screw up with their ability to fix generators and all. He's inspired by a real life person by the way, a chinese doctor who tried to cure video game addiction with, you name it, electroshocks. Which is why the new survivor with this chapter, Feng Min, was a chinese professional e-sport competitor. 12:15 Huntress, she sings a russian lullaby and her power is throwing hatchets. as of now (august 2024) the killers consist of: licensed killers: The shape (michael myers) The cannibal (leatherface) The nightmare (freddy krueger) The pig (amanda from saw) The ghost face The demogorgon The executioner (pyramid head) The nemesis The mastermind (wesker) The cenobite (pinhead) The onryō (from the ring) The xenomorph (from alien) The good guy (chucky) and lastly The lich (vecna from d&d) we also know we are getting a castlevania chapter but they have not revealed who the killer is going to be og killers: The trapper The wraith The hillbilly The nurse The hag The doctor The huntress The clown The spirit The legion (who is actually four ppl. you can choose which of these four members to play as) The plague The oni The deathslinger The blight The twins The trickster (who isnt actually from an anime. the character is a kpop star/ mvrderer lol) The artist The dredge The knight The skull merchant The singularity and lastly The unknown i think i got everyone lol 😅

Each killer and survivor all have quite in-depth lore explanations ingame on their profile pages, about a couple paragraphs long each. Id definetly reccomend checking them out if youre interested, theyre actually quite cool (except for the most recent dlc alot of ppl were dissapointed by that ones story and lore connections lol)

As a 100% Mikey main, he's definitely in the game. Unfortunately, unless you're going for jump scare Myers, he's very weak in the game :( but I still love him

Play the tutorial first, to understand the mechanics. Every killer has an ability unique to them, besides a basic right hand swing. Non licensed killers, and survivors can be bought with in game currency. The next chapter is expected to change a few things. You can also play custom games with up to 5 people or add bots

Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but some people do play as if you have their family hostage or something. Only thing scary about it is the jump scares with stealth killers. And specifically one of the Huntresses skins has a spooky lullaby. I use my time in game nowadays trying to flirt with killers. 😂 Edit: I still think the trailer for Ghostface is the best one they ever did. Makes me laugh still. I love playing as Ghostface. All licensed chapters are still available except Stranger Things.

The huntress was so damn cool the way she hums her lullaby when she's close to u. But Michael still is the scariest in my opinion

Definitely dont let how competitive the game can be turn you off, I always play as ghostface and I can tell I'm the worst at playing him but I still have fun even if I only get 1 kill same goes with survivor, The chances of me ever not having fun at all is very low even if I do absolutely horrible.

The Resident Evil girl you didn’t recognize is Rebecca Chambers: she was a field medic with Stars and the sole survivor of team bravo. Albert Wesker also has a photograph of her wearing a green sports bra and gym shorts that he keeps hidden in his desk, which you can find by searching through it in Resident Evil 2.

If I were to try to pitch any other licensed killers, I'd try: Predator, from Predator Xenomorph, from Alien Ruvik or Laura, from The Evil Within The Red Nun, from Remothered Hisako Yao, from Siren Mary Shaw, from Dead Silence

fun little fact if nobody said it already, but the the ghost who u thought was the grudge, is actually the Oni's descendant, he's like her great great great grandfather I believe, and their chapter names have meaning behind it. Shattered Bloodline and cursed legacy respectfully. As the Oni,real Name Kazan Yamaoka, is responsible for the infamy surrounding the Yamaoka name, as he went on a killing spree to anyone he thought disrespected his family's legacy and way of the samurai. This caused the entity(the being who takes people) to take a liking to the bloodline and basically cursed it. Manipulated and possessed Rin Yamaoka's(the grudge lookin lady) father, causing him to kill his wife and hack his daughter to pieces, the father was gonna basically be a killer until the entity seen the hatred and vengeance in Rin's soul and took her instead. The lore connects a lot of killers and survivors together.

If you're able to keep in your mind that this is a video game and you should have fun, the game isn't so intimidating! It really is unfortunate that there's only one queue, but ranks reset every 13th of the month so it doesn't feel too important tbh. I recommend it, I have so much fun with it even when im dying!

Haven't played this in years, super toxic player base. Love the trailers and lore, though, so I like keeping up with those. Btw, have you heard if a game called Identity V? It's from some of the same devs and has nearly identical gameplay with a "Coraline" aesthetic. I mention it because they've had limited run crossover events with Danganronpa and a few characters are cosmetic skins in it. Specifically, survivor skins for Makoto, Kyoko, Junko, Mikan, Nagito, Chiaki and Hajime as well as a killer skin for Monokuma.

Fun fact: Pyramid Head had a bit of backlash after an update of the game. And that backlash was becauuuuuse they reduced the size of his ass. Yup! Pyramid Head was double cheeked up when he was first released but it got reduced and fans were pissed off. People be thirsty as hell for these killers!

They root the trailers in the lore most of the time especially with original killers. So the reason Legion (Frank in the trailer) is called Legion and looked like they could disguise themselves was because they were showcasing the killer as just a normal person that's a serial killer and that one person is actually a group of people who you can choose through the cosmetics. OH MY GOD i had that mask too!! the one with the heart attached!! i still have it in my closet with the cloak, i dressed up as ghostface one year and accidentally ended up scaring the kids around the neighbourhood 😭

Sadly the Demogorgon is no longer avalible and next is Leatherface Pd: Dbd is no longer a scary game from a long time ago

I love how someone who's never played the game also recognized how bait and switch the trailer for The Legion was. Everyone immediately said the exact same thing. A completely new dynamic, not trusting your fellow survivors who you've always been able to trust. Then Behavior said "Nah, got eem" and gave us the Legion we all know. Still think it would be a cool concept even if it wouldn't fully work especially if it's against a 4 man SWF (Survive With Friends) who are all communicating. Also I just got to the Ghost Face part and BROOO I had the EXACT same Scream mask with the blood that pumped from the heart holy shit lmao

Fun fact: in the penny wise trailer in DBD the voice actor in the background it no longer then dead meat aka James a jassie he was voicing in the background

All licensed killers are permanent in the game so once they release they are available for as long as the game is running

Further about the Left 4 Dead chapter: Yes, Bill is in the game, and then there is also the outfits of the other characters from Left 4 Dead that the original 4 survivors can wear. So while they aren't truly in the game like Bill, they kind of are as you can wear their clothes. Also, I am a Pig main myself. I love her. When they did the SAW Rift (like a battle pass as other games call it) they added her outfit from the first movie including her old trap on her head instead of the pig mask. It's such a great outfit. It's in the store now for those that didn't get it "Free" from the Rift (The way Rifts work is they cost like 1000 premium currency, but if you complete it you get the entire 1000 currency back.) I also play Legion (my favorite is Susie. Legion is actually 4 killers, which one you play depends on the skin you are wearing. Frank Morrison, Julie Kostenko, Susie Lavoie and Joey (Joey's last name has not been revealed yet.) which doesn't actually disguise themselves like the trailer suggests.

For licensed killers and survivors, they aren’t limited, they come in dlcs that you can get after or during the licensed event.

Watching this a little over a year later and I'm really curious about your take on the new killers they've added. Also, a little fun fact--a lot of the non-licensed killers are based on other things. If I heard right: like Blight is based on Jekyll/Hyde, Nurse is based on the nurses from Silent Hill, Clown is based on John Wayne Gacy, etc.

from current now: all licenses haven't been removed, except the stranger things chapter, but that was added back, so this includes myers, bill, freddy, ash, ect, and its kinda surprising

Hi! New watcher here! I heard you talk about the experience you had wacthing horror games till this point, and I think you would love playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Or even the newest title: The Bunker. It's got a lot of thought put into it, and the whole atmosphere of the game is very immersive.

Additional info: all these DLC's still exist in the game with the only exception being Stranger Things so you could buy and play all of your favorite liscenced killers :)

A lot of the killers (who aren’t licensed) are play ons of the actual Horror Movie Killers which is pretty cool, not all of them are play ons sometimes and are own creations from bvhr I believe too Also *Interesting Fact* : the Spirit (the ghost with the sword) and the Oni (demon red mask guy) are related, he’s her Great (many greats) grandfather

When you play as Nemesis, you also get two zombies that go around the map chasing the survivors or you can kill them to improve yourself, they respawn, very fun to play, bit hard tho. As for the Knight, that was a collab with For Honor from Ubisoft, don't know much about his power tho, I know he can summon those guys to help him.

I know this video was made a couple months ago but they have a "Custom Match" mode that now makes it so you can play against bots which are easy enough to beat and have fun with the game but still give you enough difficulty that if you don't keep up a match will slip away from you as killer. It doesn't grant any actual progression in terms of leveling up or gaining blood points but you really only need those if you play competitively anyway, It's a nice alternative for people like me who also just want some casual matches from time to time. You can also just play with friends or play with friends and bots at the same time in case you don't have enough people to fill a lobby.

In case you're still wondering, none of the licensed killers or survivors are limited time. However, demigorgan, Steve Harrington, and nacy Wheeler have been removed. we now have xenomorph,along with the corresponding survivor and Nickolas cage, as a stand-alone survivor.

Its so nice to see someone outside the DBD community getting excited about the cool things the game offers!

by the way, the artstyle of the game has changed drastically over the years, which is why the earlier gameplay from the trailer looks different from the newer ones, in like 2016-2019ish the game was going for a more watercolor type of artstyle, but is now going for a more realistic one Also please check out the spotlight trailers, they go a bit more in depth about the survivors and killers, also the game isn't all that competitve, you just have some people that just take the game too seriously, its more of chill game normally (until you meet a bunch of sweats atleast)

Don't worry, all the Halloween stuff is still in the game. Not a limited licence! They did have a limited time with Stranger Things, but they recently got them back too. You should check out the resent updates - they've got a lot more "famous" killers I think you'd enjoy.

Alright time to settle down on DbD lore. First off, The Spirit and The Oni Rin Yamaoka was a college student (19 year old) living with her mother and father. She was forced to take up swords and stuff (I think? I don't play dbd I just watch lore videos since I don't like asymetrical horror) she has always been filled with inner rage inherited from Oni, who was her great great great great grandfather. One day her mother got really sick and her father soon started hearing whispers and dark thoughts (the entity interfered with Rins life. It's a theory of mine that the entity meant to take her father and not Rin) Rins father decided to go onto having double shifts to help with his wife's treatment but then descended into even worse madness. Rin decided to take up a job to help her father and help treat her mother too. But one faithful night Rin returned from her job to find her mothers bloody corpse. Her father murdered her mother and her father murdered Rin too, and then she fell off from a glass window. As she was in the brink of death the entity offered her to make an oath, life for vengeance. Spirit soon turned into an entity driven onryō. Oni. Onis name is Kazan Yamaoka. I don't know much about his lore but I know a few things. His face was torn, he was killed, he was a killer, he murdered his son's playmate and his friends family because his friend accidentally harmed his son. Kazan came back to get revenge on Rin's father. Plague lore!!! Adiris was the ruler back in a city in Babylon. Then a plague ran over her city. Adiris sacrificed her toe (yes, she cut off one of her toes to heal a woman) she just generally sacrificed herself to heal her city. She joined the entity to keep healing her people even though they don't exist anymore. Also the doctor's name is Herman sth idk. He was based off a real Chinese doctor that ran experiments on internet obsessed kids using electroshock therapy. But instead to not get their game provoked they decided to make a psychopathic and sadistic character that ran experiments on people. Also feng min (Asian girl that you said you liked in the doctor trailer) is an e sports player and very good at video games. Ironic, right? :3

OMG first of all thank you for reacting to this. DBD has kind of been dying recently due to the lack of creativity from the developers and the community being kind of,, awful. BUT it doesn’t take away the fact that this game is super cool with a great concept and the killers and survivors deserve attention along with the lore. It’s worth your time to play! Sidenote; I have that exact same shirt, gifted to me by my partner. We’re twins… Oh also the only licensed killer that we don’t have anymore is Demogorgon from Stranger Things (Steve and Nancy, too) Everyone else’s licenses are continually renewed.

Actually the only liscenced thing that i known of leaving was stranger things which came back recently. Edit: 23:02 NO, THEY ARE NOT SIBLINGS. The guy is Steve and the girl is Nancy, they had a love triangle the whole show with Jonathan but Nancy in the end (so far) is with Jonathan.

The thing with the knight was an For Honor collab. But the collab took 1 year to realize on DBD side it seems. In For Honor u got for a short time an own game mode with the trapper as enemy for both teams

You need to watch Hellraiser (aka Pinhead movie). It's one of my favorites. The book is also cool and short, but the film is more accessible and iconic. Ignore the sequels, but the one released in 2022 is also great.

So this game has actually had one anime collab which wasn't featured in this video as it was a skin pack, and that's with Attack on Titan. It has the Armored Titan as a skin for The Oni and the Warhammer Titan for The Spirit. There's also skins for a couple of the Survivors like Mikasa for Yui (biker girl from The Oni DLC) or Eren for Dwight (nerd with glasses in a few of the trailers). They also get Attack on Titan themed remixes of the Dead by Daylight OST when you play as them too. In terms of other cosmetics Cheryl Mason has skins that turn her into other Silent Hill characters like James Sunderland from SH2, similarly the Resident Evil characters get skins like Chris Redfield for Leon or Sheva for Jill. And finally Ghost Face (who as others have mentioned is technically a new character) gets all kinds of outfits based off real Ghostface masks you can buy irl including his Scream cloak and mask. He also got the Scary Movie "wassup" mask in a battle pass and unlike other games battle pass skins become store items after a year or less, so even though you missed the mask you can just wait for it. Other than that all skins I've mentioned are still in the game and purchasable. This game has issues, but as someone who wasn't into horror growing up (the only franchise I had real experience with was Left 4 Dead which I loved as a kid) it got me into stuff like Silent Hill, SAW and Attack on Titan which I adore now. It's definitely a love letter to these franchises like Smash Bros.

I don't know if you've played yet, but I'm the same as you and this is the only "competitive" game that the community is ACTUALLY not that competitive, there are a lot of instances where everyone helps each other out killers to help survivors in some cases, survivors can help killers with challenges and stuff. Everyone almost in this community is really helpful and sweet. And it isn't difficult to figure out. The most daunting thing for people is the blood web, which is basically stuff that helps level up your survivors and characters and get new perks to help you out in a match. But after you hit level 50 on a character, you can auto-click after that for the blood web to grab things for you. Which is really helpful if you don't know what to get. I highly recommend giving it a chance, especially playing with friends!

There are multiple different maps for different areas. I believe one of them is actually a school. However, it's completely random which map you're going to get sent to. Unless you use a special item to get a certain map.
