Hey everyone, we have heard your feedback and are currently creating a quick QOL (quality of life) update for this pack! Will post patch notes later. Also a larger update is already in the works, but may need to be adjusted due to the feedback we recieved.
Add herobrine where he just stalks you in the distance and then disappears and does other stuff to mess with you. And maybe jumpscares? It will be a great horror mob!
a quick suggestion for your update: your pack doesnt work with the “elemental crops” pack by darkosto, as the strength affect glitches out on elemental armour when both packs are simultaneously activated
You don't want him to give you a heart attack either. It is good that they appear to be able to fight, it is not a complement that is terrifying, it is a complement of enemies that are scary.
@@angelsauceda2538its a horror mod, having this spawn consistency literally defeats the point of being jump scared. If you don’t want a heart attack, maybe don’t play anything horror related.
It's a bit late but you can get them from backrooms (tall black guy with white face) faceless man aka slenderman (white and where's suit) and abomination (brown tall monster with a wood texture)
Another unique add-on. I've been waiting for this. So far, I have animals, furniture, and pets add-ons. The rest seemed a bit unoriginal, so I didn't bother to add them. But this is what will make the game more interesting, hehe.
Some notes ive gotten from devs of this addon. 1.mob spawning will be adjusted 2.some mobs will be able to break doors possibly glass also 3.the fog is being removed as it makes most devices (series s,ps4, xbox one and mobile go from 60fps to 15) itll be replaced with a draw distance fog instead of animated close up fog
That’s what I was hoping for the fog does make sense because it is a horror addon but it would get annoying fast im glad they’re going to change it up a bit
@@hehasnolips1371 yeah it's a setting thing rn it when enabled it does a particle effect and reduces draw distance but rn theirs a glitch in which when disabled at night the draw distance is still at like 5 chunks and the big problem is the fog particles is very laggy on most devices so their changing it to be just the draw distance I wish I could send images to show what I mean
An update has been released HORROR SURVIVAL Add-On: All of these changes were based off of community suggestions: - The fog now has multiple settings you can choose from. - Mob spawn rate has been reduced. - Mob health has been increased up to 75 to 100% more. - The OP enchants have been nerfed. They require the vanilla enchants to obtain the OP version. - The Ore merchant has been nerfed. - Swords damage has been nerfed. - Swords have harder crafting recipes. - Night necklaces recipe is harder to craft. - Various other bug fixes This is just the first round of balance, it may take multiple so please keep the feedback coming. It would be cool if Slender acted like Herobrine just watching you from afar and only gets aggressive either after a few days or picking up something like the pages.

There is a bug that makes you unable to use the strength effect when this mod is enabled. I think it’s because the “Stinger” sword gives you strength and takes it away when you’re not holding it. Idk how to fix it.
I’d say these horror add-ons need to add tougher mobs. Ones that do significantly more damage because 1/2 heart for an attack with base diamond armour is nothing
I'm also very glad to see an addon that adds more enemy mobs. None of the others do. Alien and dinosaurs attack you but this addon has proper monsters!
The mobs don't do enough damage or have enough health if i was someone who made add-ons i would make it so when you hit the mob you can't hit it again for a little so you can't just kill the mob instantly and obliviously give it more health or I can just give it only more Health
The moment i clicked and saw it was a 31 minute video i knew there was gonna be alot too it wouldnt be surprised if mojang change the price of this as im pretty sure they already increased the price of the essentials one
I asked the creator of the essentials addon. He stated that the original price was a mistake and that the new price was what it was supposed to be. The change wasn't because of Mojang or anything.
@@cadenwhelan8358 The good thing is that they do not refund your purchase, the mistake has already been made, you paid for what they showed and they cannot charge you for what they lost, so I still got it for 160
@angelsauceda2538 tell that to all those who bought mutants and who wanted a horror addon one of the whole points in horror is that it isn't overwriting naturally generated mobs
For the one askong how to get ancient tomb, it is droped by the abomination mob, but this mob is very rear to appear and it will drop you the ancient tomb each 10-20 abominations that you kill, so is gonna be a long process, and if you want to have a little more possibility to see the mob, it appears more often near to the towns.

I have been using the mod for just two days and I really like it, but its not without its cons. There are too many enemies and they respawn rather quickly. Maybe decrease the amount and give them more HP?
genuine review of this pack as I've played it for a week. It's terrible. Mobs spawn way too frequently, I was mislead into believing this mod would be something similar to goatman and other horror mods where you'd have a consistent threat, but no. You get obsidian and you've basically beaten the game with how inflated this pack makes the game. You have access to innumerable valuable resources at the snap of your fingers and it's not that fun. Genuine update reccomendation: Remove night necklace or rebalanced trades from the night necklace to be much more reasonable and have less overpowered items for sale. Change the mobs to spawn less frequently, more biome specific entities, have have a consistent perceived threat, such as monsters coming at unexpected times. Change the monsters to have more horrifying ambience to them. Completely rework armor and weapons to be much more balanced and fair, having a sword you can get that does 18 damage with no enchantments that you can get within your first hour of playing is horrendous. Make drops less common and trinkets, weapons, and armor much more difficult to craft. Thank you.
They Never Said You'd Be "Scared" is a horror-themed enemies add-on. I understand that it has things that make the game very unfair but if you don't want to use them, don't use them. It is up to you to abuse the merchants or not.
@angelsauceda2538 well no shit, It just feels so underdone, and I feel like you missed the point. It's feedback to the developers, not feedback to you. It's a review of the pack and my opinions on it, respect them or not, "just don't use it" isn't exactly a viable response as the devs actually care about feedback and don't just want some cheap cash grab

I hope when halloween comes around we get addons with just one really good monster. I like horror but i dont want 8 different monsters spawning all the time it ruins the horror.
@BedrockPrincess I belive it's random maybe in the nether when in survival it'll just pop up on your screen for a second and disappear like a jumpscare
They should reduce the rate the new monsters spawn at but also make them way stronger. I killed like 10 with a simple wooden sword and no armor, and I don’t even think I’m that good at combat
I don't believe you at all, the enemies have 15-40 base health, how come you killed 10 enemies in a row without armor and with a wooden sword? I have diamond armor and there are times that they leave me at 1 life
@@angelsauceda2538 nah I was in normal difficulty and just running around a a mega tiaga when a whole group of them started chasing me so I just did simple hit and run tactics. They all died in 4-5 hits maybe I was hitting crits or something
Is there a way to remove the tools from other players? It's not that fun when all the new players that join and adjust settings and get told everything about the mod when they spawn in
How did a horror addon turn into a addon that has vein miner and tree Capitater and how is it going to translate if you already have addons like those on that world that can do that with ores and trees 🤦 I do like this addon and I’m planning to add it to my realm but I’ll have to rearrange some planned addons to be in it this week because some of the features you can get with this addon you basically don’t even need keep inventory/cheats on or any other addon that has tree capitater or vein miner because this addon already covers it
While i agree its due to the marketplace theyll see youve addon only mobs and normal tools and their like nah its not enough sometimes and other times their like 1 feature sure sell that its a very odd marketing company
I think those items/abilities also have a place in this addon. They're good ideas but it is a bit annoying to see addons constantly adding the same content. In defense of the developers of the addons, they likely knew little or nothing about what kind of features other developers were adding to their addons.
Keep inventory ring should not be giviven automatically, it interfears with other mods like grave yard mod, instead it should have to be crafted to make.
Me compre el addon y es muy bueno, lo unico malo es que siguen siendo muy debiles los mobs, incluso sin armadura puedes escapar muy facil de ellos y los que tienen un daño aceptable y velocidad aceptable los matas de 2 golpes, lo que yo haria es hacer que aparezcan mucho menos pero que esos pocos que aparezcan tengan el daño y vida de un ravager o iron golem, eso y ajustar el rango de ataque de algunos mobs que varias veces ni siquiera te pegan aunque te quedes quieto
Good idea they plan on adjusting mob spawn an option for some mobs to break doors changing the fog animation which is super laggy to fog draw distance mob hp etc etc

@@cadenwhelan8358 the only mob suggested that can spawn in day (which they said sounds like a good idea) is a mob that watches you and dissapers when you look at it just for an eerie feeling of something being around
@@cadenwhelan8358 nah just being watched which is creepy it doesn't have a hitbox or hp just despawns when looked at imagine turning around and that being in your face
