Saw first two as soon as they came like them more then then i do now. Third one was one of those forgotten immediately kinda movies. Im curious tho why josh was so sure he'd hate them before watched ?lol
I was at a staff showing at a theater I worked at and like ten minutes into the movie I’m like “I don’t care about these characters and I’m just waiting for them to die horrible deaths. I’m a terrible person” I got up and left but I’m not into graphic horror.
If Hostel takes places in 2004 & the second one; Hostel Part: 2 takes place in 2006, but the opening scene with Paxton’s nightmare was from 2004, then how come after getting decapitated, his head is directly taken in a box to the Boss of the Elite Hunting club; Sasha & why later in the scene where Beth is kidnapped, one of my favorite scenes, she finds a secret room in the closet with his 2 year old head that does not look one bit decomposed, it must be a very cold freezer by that theory, or my theory is; the opening scene takes place at least one year later in 2005 & between 2006 & the scene were where introduced to the main protagonist; Beth is either right after Paxton’s head is given to Sacha or a few months or a year after & the secret room in the closet is a freezer
I have seen the first movie in the theaters the other ones they’re just fine with me as well and pack and being back in the second film I’m fine with that too. Give us what happens to him. He did getaway, but not his head never got away, but I like those movies too, but the first one kinda weirded me out a little bit, so I had to go back a few times get rid of the weirdness, you have to forgive me about the excellent timeline. There is multiple timelines. If you want you can explain that to us go the history of the movie that starts at all X-Men origins and yes X-Men first class or whatever I said I have to watch them order for me to be confirmed with you , Josh Spiegel and that Scott Spiegel guy yeah he is to you or not. He says the same name as you that’s why I’m so to say that Deadpool is not a part of the timeline so I’m guessing that there is multiple X-Men Tom lines. But I am on your side, Josh you know I am. This has nothing to do with me trying to make you do another video on the timeline. I’m just trying to get you to see the difference with all all the timelines of them and how they all fit with one another if there’s only one timeline then it has to go with the Xavier timeline or whatever it is, a lot of people dead X-Men first class has to be first no matter what I say about it. I don’t want to obsess with you and I will not do that anymore. I’m just talking with you as a friend these movies hostel actually seen the first film in the theater and I mean, they are actually great and good , I love them just the same but truth fourth one maybe a fifth one and end it there or have it and was a battle and Slovakia with our American armies go to all the other rooms where people be tortured and killed and I say bring all that and make it come to an end That way, it will make more sense to come to an end come to a variation or something like that but yeah I seen the first one in theaters and I was out that went away after I seen it because watching people being tortured is reliable upsetting and that’s not why she’s movies if you really want to know because the idea of wedding my horizons and see what else was out there besides Disney cartoons there is one timeline that you have not done yet is but that until I get out of the way because we need couple more of them and also the end of Seme movies had to count on sometime but it should do is check back in with the X-Men timeline if you want it’s your choice at this point and point out that there is multiple timelines according to the movies or you can do The Transformers movies of Hawaiian because you never done that yet or I can do the hobbit and the Lord of the rings movies that’s that you never have done yet either but it’s up to you. I only leave the choice up to you. That’s why I give you that Option I’ll give you only options for videos, but I said you can do the bogeyman Tom lines. How many of them is out there or you can go with the obvious timeline that you want to do that is a fact, either the hobbit and the Lord of the rings For a timeline or you can do the Harry Potter timeline if you want it never done either of these before but I don’t care what you do as long as you do what it is that you want because I leave the choice to you do it for me do your fans do it for those of you that loves your channel like I do Just do it for me do it yourself? So the best time that you should do is the transformers because it is up to you you choose to do it then that is your choice not mine that’s why I brought up. Do the highline is why you did it because you chose to do it so I just hope that you realize that and understand won’t try to tell you about these different movies that you can do you can do Transformers movies or you can do the Joe ones. I said it is up to you, my friend I leave these. Are these movies up to you and whatever you want to do it, I request this by saying this to you is this They request that you do transformers movies and if you choose to do that as a request, then it should be up to you because I don’t live up to you anyways matter what but no matter what Josh you don’t need to stay silent to me no matter what your friend Robbie Anson will always love your channel But as for the host, I see them in theaters and bring it with the sex one also known as hostile and all that or they go back to Slovakia and the government and our armed forces to go in bomb the place and kill off those kids also known as the bubblegum gang so they will be able to do what they do anymore then have an underground investigation on them and has them going around blowing up buildings that is contrast to seller and all of them but yeah, that would be cool. Blessing them all the visitors are earth so they can never kill people ever again , I was getting them and bringing them on down they seven hostile movies would be under that will be good and awesome so I sent enough. I hope that this is a decent comment for you and maybe you can not stay silent after talking to me again.
Loved the first film, iv been watching all the 'most disturbing' films since I was a teenager, so I'm quite desensitised, but I found the eye scene quite horrible, and the film intense too. Didn't like the second one at all, it's just a copy of the first film but altered to be cringy, annoying, and unrealistic at often as possible. Third film was silly, but fun. Almost felt like a parody, but pretty enjoyable.
Hey, Josh, any particular reason why you avoided/somewhat disliked the films? In the early 2000s, Eli Roth did a handful of films, and while they weren’t perfect, they were almost like a precursor to the Elevated Horror of the 2010s in attention to detail and subject matter. As a fan of horror, I’m surprised you were not a fan of Eli Roth. To me, the original Cabin Fever and Hostel were much better than some of the other bland horror coming out around that time.
i put them off for two reasons. one is that i really didn't like cabin fever when it came out, so i wasn't looking forward to more from the same director. and then i'm just not a fan in general of that 2000's era of horror of "wouldn't this really hurt if someone did this?" i'll be honest, i didn't see this as being any better than any of the other Saw style films of this time frame and thought it just blended in with the rest of them.
Good point! I wasn't a fan of the Saw films, either. I saw the first one, then part of the second, then gave up. Someone once coined the term 'Torture Porn' to describe that genre of film, including Hostel, though I'm glad the name didn't stick. In the pre-Covid days, I felt the concept of the virus in Cabin Fever was pretty scary. There was no explanation of where it came from or what it was, but it killed fast and painfully. I felt the original Hostel was scary because of the concept of a club of torture-murderers that Roth himself had heard rumors might actually exist, which was inspiration for the movie. As for Rotten Fruit, that was not scary, but you have to admit funny as hell in a South Park-like way. Anyway, thanks for responding. Love the channel!
Meh. They are okay movies, just really not my sort of taste. They do have one of my peeves? Or something I got burnt on? I'm not really sure how to describe it but I've gotten really annoyed by movies ESPECIALLY horror having to screw over the main characters from the previous entries. I mean really, they've experienced horrible snit, let them have their flippin' win.
