Reprints in this deck are pretty good, I was not expecting Hullbreaker Horror at all.

Pretty good deck with solid reprints - Good to see Herald’s Horn getting one as it is unreasonably expensive atm for an uncommon

The best part of this imo is that they reprinted cards with more thematic art. I wish there was more than 3, but hopefully this is the new standard going forward as a ton of the artifact creatures in the "Buckle up" precon from Kamigawa could have been more thematic, I'm looking to play [insert deck theme] and have fun, I don't need a hyper competitive pre-con.

I really want to put Captain N'arg.... Davy Jones into my Admiral Becket Brass deck! It's very on theme with stealing opponents creatures.

I don't think it's intentional but there's GOTTA be another way to pronounce that name. "N'G" should probably be two separate phonemes separated by a a glottal stop or pause specifically to avoid this issue. Not gonna influence my purchasing or subscription decisions but a little forethought here could avoid some awkward convos in LGSs around the Anglosphere

This deck seems so much stronger and more cohesive than the goad precon that was also revealed. This precon seems VERY solid, nothing crazy out of place, lots of good synergy. Very solid deck. Wish it had a wayfarer's bauble cause I think they should be printed in every non-green precon but at least one is in the poopy goad deck.

Ever since Zendikar Rising's Rogue precon deck, I've been wanting to make some sort of mill-themed Horror/Sea Creature tribal deck. Horrors seemed like a neat tribe, and much more on theme than Rogues. I went through so many different ideas; Wrexial (who might be a consideration for this deck), Araumi (yet again, tripling a Consuming Aberration seems like a barrel of laughs), etc. I eventually saw Umbris, Fear Manifest and thought I'd finally found it. Until I realized that Umbris got a little too big too fast, and the constant exile was better than strictly milling, but also a nonbo with the graveyard shenanigans I was hoping for (you'll have to exile graveyards eventually, yes, but I didn't want to be doing it ALL the time). I'd eventually put it all on the back burner, quietly observing the mill cards being released every set. Until finally CLB rolls around, and they announce literally the exact deck I've been hoping for all this time! This deck looks great, and even has some reprints of cards I've been wanting for other decks. I haven't even seen the others yet, but I'm definitely considering picking this one up.

The mana base on this looks pretty decent. No shocks or fetches, obviously, but way better than a few years ago when we got a ton of tapped duels.

As someone who's favorite tribal types are Cats, Horrors, and Merfolk I gotta say I'm so psyched for this deck. Horrors will always be such an interesting archetype with how random and sometime just outright OP abilities they come with. I can't wait to get it. it'll give me a chance to try it out against my BU Zombie triple deck

Legit bought this for my sister just yesterday, and I'm so glad I got it and now I'm watching this video around in the morning so I can teach her how to play it when she gets home from school

I love these new precons. They have interesting and fun ways to play. They are just out of my budget

Excited for the new toys for my Mimeoplasm mill deck! Already has a sub-theme of "big, scary monsters", so more horrors fit right into that!

There actually is a mindflayer dragon in Fizbans treasury of dragons, a dnd monster manual that came out last year

Man, im so happy that i did not end up finishing my umbris deck before command legends B came out, saved a ton of money since 70% i was gonna buy were in this precon

I'm so glad I held off on Hullbreaker Horror. I was only 50% sure it would be in this deck. I bought Thing In The Ice immediately, because I didn't expect a double face card getting reprinted.

I rarely ever pre-order a deck; But this one I do want. Partly to have a horror tribal, but I also want that amazing secondary commander for a deck of its own.

This is how all precons should be. Love that we got a good amount of decent reprints

I love when wizards gets creative with the creature typings; Uchuulon has what might be the coolest subtype set I have ever seen, on top of a really cool effect. It’s a strong contender for my favorite card in my favorite one of the Baldur’s Gate precons. Good stuff!

This combined with Tasha the witch queen and classic horror creatures looks like a blast

First of this pre cons that I see, immediately in love. Probably picking this up as I don't have a Dimir deck at the moment and I love this theme. Let's see if I like any of the others better. Great video, as always.

This is by far my favorite precon of all times, hands down. My favorite commander has been Umbris, since its release, but now i want to build Zellix so bad! Gj Wizards

Honestly, this seems like a really solid deck! I gotta say; some of the reprints for this deck are really nice too. Leyline of Anticipation (once very expensive; thanks for reprinting it in M20!), Reflections of Littjara (It got too expensive for me to buy alone!), Black Market (I have one, but I'll gladly take another!), Talisman of Dominance (please do this for *all* the Talismans in the cycle!), Herald's Horn (another tribal staple), it's not valuable but it's fun to see Plague Spitter, Chasm Skulker... and there are a bunch of fun cards here. I know that commander decks are supposed to be a little split in what they do and stuff, but I'm pretty happy with this deck. Looking forward to playing with it in two weeks' time! The one criticism I have is that I'd love to see some fetch lands, shock lands and pain lands, but it's been much worse before, and it's not really up to me how the decks are made and what cards are printed. All in all, it looks like a really solid design, Gavin! EDIT: Also, Hullbreaker Horror. Seriously, you guys are onto something here. I know it might just be because it's a horror and it fits well... but honestly, I like the attitude! I know commander decks are meant to be an introduction to the game, but I think the decks are getting better and have more 'snacks' for established or experienced players, and I'm glad they do. The cards tend to be worth more, and I know that's hush-hush, but it makes me feel better as a customer knowing I'm getting solid reprints (again; those tend to have value because they're good cards). EDIT 2: I love the flavor of Nihilith. It's not incredibly powerful, but it's a big baddie that's slowly approaching. And it works with the main commander. Super cool! I love that you guys put weird old-ish cards in when they're relevant!

I feel like you have to ramp with this deck. In my play group, someone will for sure hold up instant speed spot removal for turn 5. Then if they kill him (Assuming you don't have a force of will or some other free cast protection), you won't see him again till turn 7. And by then, he'll be mostly irrelevant.

Looks like my Nihiloor deck is about to get even more jank with a horror subtheme!! Great content, and congrats on the preview!!

This deck had me checking the database for Horrors, and... yeah, there are A LOT of bad ones. Like, I don't think there are any that we're missing out on really... maybe if you inexplicably want a zombie or mercenary tribal subtheme?

I just saw a piece about different kinds of mindflayers including the brainstealer dragons. Can't wait for this precon!

The best thing you can always do to a precon when it comes to upgrading it is to upgrade that land basis...boring i know but still holds true.

From the catacombs is not great. 5 mana value means most turns it will be the only spell you cast. You have to get something that has a real impact on the board.

How I would upgrade the deck: - Ask R&D why the black/blue Liege isn't a horror like several of the others - Consider Call of the Nightwing - Consider Corpseweft - Consider Spoils of Blood - Consider Umbris, Fear Manifest (if we're going for our opponents' libraries, we might as well exile some of it too, swinging with a beefy horror). - Consider Despoiler of Souls - Seriously consider Fleshwrither (if you need, say, Ravenous Chupacabra) - Cross my fingers that we'll get more fun, awesome Horrors. Seriously, the Fleshwrither is weird. It's like Transmute, but you have to have the creature on the battlefield. Then you essentially Transmute it, but it enters the battlefield. Neat!

There is the Elder Brain Dragon which would be a dope commander for a horror deck in itself

brain stealer dragon looks cool but elder brain dragon exists in fizbans treasury of dragons which came out in october 2021. guess they had already designed the cards by then?

so.... an average of 1,3$ per card. Not a single reprint of 10$ or more. Yup. We are back to less for more. EDIT: I know. Haunted Horror. But it's not a real moderatly played card in EDH.

My friend pre-ordered the deck because he assumed it was going to be horror + pirate themed based on the name (He has an Admiral Beckett Brass deck). Strange for it to be only horror-based.

Uchuulon question he’s a crab a ooze and a horror so would he be a 3/4 by himself? And if he is then every copy would effectively add +3 to each Uchuulon on the battlefield right?

I need to see this deck list to see what I can take out and replace with Toxrill, the Corrosive, a slug HORROR that will passively kill things. Maybe a Lili of the dark realms could go in here? Cabal/Urborg combo?

I rly feel like they have to put in some Rhystic Studies, Cyclonic Rifts, Smothering Thites, etc. in these precon decks. The prices are just getting insane. Also: Why did they cut on the mana base again, last decks had the filter lands in it. We are getting the campusses now..? This deck seems kinda cool, but the dragon deck rly is underwhelming.

There's an infinite combo in the deck LOL Have Hullbreaker Horror in play Cast Sol Ring Float 2 from Sol Ring Cast Everflowing Chalice for 0, bounce Sol Ring with HH Cast Sol Ring (Float 1 remaining), bounce EC Rince repeat to get infinite colourless mana, storm, and artifact ETB/ LTB. Optionally, you can then cast Arcane Signet infinitely to create infinite UB
