Horrorshow perform an acoustic version of their song The Rain at Sydney's iconic venue The Basement on Sunday March 6 2011. Edit - Kiran Narang, cameras - Kiran Narang & Justina Grubski
"And then he looks up into the clear blue sky up above and says 'It's gonna rain', and then it does". That part never ceases to give me chills. Massive respect to Solo and Adit for getting this live band together too. It just shows that they're more than just another producer and a rapper. They're true musicians. Adit doesn't just produce a beat, he composes it. Don't see many producers who can play their shit live too. Not just my favourite hip-hop group but one of my favourite artists too.
This is the first song I heard from Horrorshow, about two years or so ago. I learned to rap listening to Hilltop Hoods, I learned to put emotion into it from from listening to them. Also acoustic hip hop is probably the most beautiful thing ever invented.
oh my fucking god how have i not discovered this until now? Ive loved these guys since seeing them at bliss n eso last year, hope they make it huge in this country but then again hope they stay under the radar and are my little secret :)
you can tell the majority of that crowd was stunned with the brilliant opening verse of this track. Solo's lyrics are right up with the best ive ever heard, just think how far he could go in the Australian hip hop scene when hes producing so many unbelievable tracks at such a young age. Keep it up Solo, you are a true inspiration
This kind of gig definitely needs to happen in Adelaide. Having the opportunity to see these boys (SS too) go acoustic would be amazing, and there'd be such a good reaction in A-Town.
Solo has true talent. Loving the new talent coming out of Australia, not saying I don't love the old school stuff, I lined up to get A Matter of Time when it came out. Horrorshow just continuing on an already epic legacy.
please please please... another acoustic gig please!! I missed this one!! soooo gutted! I rate you guys as the best hip hop act out there... keep up the good work, it's awesome.
This story is so beautiful it makes me cry ! when Im having a shitty day I just think Hush child from the joy to the pain it'll all wash away in the rain.. and i feel heaps better, thanks xo
I'm waiting in anticipation for you guys to release a live DVD, with some stuff about your journey and production of your records etc. That would be fucking epic!
@mileseek the other two tracks that come on the download card aren't videos, they're MP3's - but they have been recorded and mixed and mastered very nicely... sound dope
@artdenden then why dont you just ignore it?? there is no reason to dislike thats just disrespect.. its still amazing talent that you just disliked when you could of just clicked a different link
@melzyy44 there was no need to go insane. simply standing and appreciating their talent was more enjoyable than losing your shit and not paying attention.
Thought id better comment on the dislike to be fair. I just felt that there was a stong disconnect between the the flow of the lyrics and the beat of the song. Additionally the melody of the flow was a little random. I am an aussie hip hop fan and a fan of you guys and ive been to a couple of your shows, just didn't like this one.
