Very informative video Tim. Sounds like Deere is making some good well over due improvements. I also see your pond is looking great. Thanks for the Deere update.
Just bought a 2024 2025R model. I don't see a reason to worry about my purchase being overly hasty with these new features being introduced next year... I have enjoyed a few of the perks that came with the newer machine in general over my previous 2014 tractor, so it will be interesting to see how they continue to change things in the future! Are you guys thinking about showcasing a 2025R on the channel soon? I think it kinda gets overlooked in the Deere lineup do to being compared as a pointless upgrade to a 1025R. My opinion, but It seems to be "more" then a slight upgrade to the 1025R while being as good at handling the same tight spaces. But what do I know? Anyhow I certainly have found there to be more Pros then cons to my recent upgrade. The cost I guess would be the biggest con over the 1025R, and that certainly is a big one.
The beefier frame and larger size make it a better candidate for the hydros plus upgrades over a 1025R, says me. You can have the power and lift of the larger 2 series, in a more maneuverable package, for a bit less cost.
Thanks Tim pointing out the new upgrades on the 1025R hours for 2025 year models my 2013 1025 R works good the upgrades do not pull me in to upgrade to a newer tractor.when stop in at the dealer to pick up odds and ends I check out the Newer tractors like mine and they didn't upgrade them over the years when I asked the salesman he said he didn't know why but they had a good thing that's probably why they never changed much thanks again for your heads up keep up the good work
On the LED displays, I am the new owner of a used 2005 Sea Ray Sundancer boat with LED gauges on the dash. These gauges were discontinued long ago, and the communication technology to the motor and other items such as the fuel level gauge or trim equipment has changed. I found a service with a stellar reputation that will rebuild my existing gauges. My guess is a volume of demand will create a LED dash repair solution.
thanks for keeping us updated, tim! the air ride seat could be interesting. will have to check the part numbers when they are available and see if I could maybe retrofit that to a 2022 like we were able to with the updated fender with the switch cutouts.
I have a 2019 2025R TLB and just paid it off. The changes they came out with are not that drastic for me to run out and trade mine in. They will be nice for a new consumer shopping for a new tractor. Now if you had said they made a factory cab with AC/heat and compatible with the backhoe. Then I would consider it. Also, a turbo on the 2025R would have been nice also. Help differentiate the 25hp engine from the others.
Tim, my 1025r is a 2020 model. Perfectly happy with it. However, some things I wish I had. On the 3 pt hitch, a way to tilt the box blade hydraulically. Ive seen your video with the aftermarket kit and it looked like it could use a lot of improvement. Not smooth at all. It's to bad no one manufactureers a reverse gearbox for the post hole digger. That would be huge.
Great info Tim. Sounds like some nice improvements. Looking forward to seeing how Hydros plus tackles some of those changes. Bummer that they didn't move the fuel gauge into that new cluster. Is there another 2025 model year update coming for the rest of the Deere compact tractors. As usual I am most excited to learn all I can about any changes that may be coming to the 25' mode 3R/4R machines. I do have that 25' model cab 3046R on order for my new build project, my dealer had no info on any changes when I ordered it.
Thanks for the great video Tim! I’m interested in the air ride seat because I mow 4 acres and my BX beat me up so much with the rough ride that I purchased a zero turn also. I would like to go back to a tractor if it rode well enough to complete my mowing. One machine is easier to store and maintain as well the mowing experience is better on a tractor.
You can get a REALLY NICE suspension seat from TracSeats.com use code TTWT for 5% off. It is a "top of the line" seat. As good, or better than an air seat. I REALLY like it.
Tim, thank you for this video. This video couldn’t have come at a better time as I am planning on getting a 2025r in the new year and have been trying to figure out exactly what all has changed between MY24 & MY25. As an engineer, I need to know as many details as possible in order to make a decision and this video definitely has helped solidify that I am getting a MY25 tractor. I only wish the air ride seat was compatible with the backhoe 😢
@@TractorTimewithTim nope, if you try to add the deluxe open operator station and the backhoe on Deere’s website, it shows that there is a conflict between the two.
Tim, loyal viewer here. Always try to like every video. I have not seen the Kubota in some time. Not even when you were tilling last week. Do you still have it. I only own JD, had one K and didn't like it. Light weight and treadle pedal.
One of the reasons I bought a bx23s was because it doesn't have "codes". I know this is going to eventually change with Kubota too as I saw a next gem common rail engine. But the longer it takes to get here the better.
Why JD not put power beyond or a 3rd function on every tractor? Why not boost the factory hydro pressure for improved 3pt and loader lift? The most expensive tractor brand should come with capability the others don't.
What hydraulic multiplier will work from power beyond? Also have you used fasse multiplier they have one that adds a joystick with several push buttons to select which outlet to control. It is a momentary switch. These also have POPPIT VALVES .they don't leak down. Own one and so much better than the summit I have Thanks.
Yep, the Fasse do not leak down. ...but they are double the price. Summit has the joystick option, and they use Poppit couplers as well. Oh, and to answer your question, the Summit rear (or front and rear) kits plug directly into the Power Beyond.
So, are tractors like vehicles in the sense that often times people say to avoid the first year, while bugs are worked out? (In general, not specifically talking about the 1025R)
Great information. I for one don't feel the need to run out and buy the new 2025 version of the 1025R for only a couple of changes. After market suppliers continue to offer all the options that I am interested in. And I'm sure the finance committee would never hear my case...😂
I can’t say I’ve ever even considered going out to buy a new model tractor simply due to updates, with the exception of the recent LX Kubotas that fixed the hydrostatic “whine.” I considered it, but only very briefly. Hard to justify trading in on a tractor, which typically lasts a lifetime.
Bluetooth? Sensors? Why does it feel like John Deere is inching us toward a subcompact that can't be fixed w/o their technicians, just like the large Ag equipment?
@@TractorTimewithTim That sounds good. I have a 2019 1025 with the factory third function. I have been told by others (summit Hydraulics) that a power beyond cannot be added. I would like to add it so that I can add more rear outlets with a summit or other kit.
Pond looks good. With all that is going on with the economy a buyers market has to be incoming. The people who were buying these tractors in mass are all broke. The used market is going to be flooded soon. I would like to see what the JD repo market looks like.
I have no idea why anyone would ever buy Johndeere anything. Less capable for vastly more money. That's before all the years of Johndeere activity screwing over customers. I refuse to own anything johndeere green made after the 70s. There are much better options available at a better price point out there.
Its always good to improve the machine for the better and also lots of competition to help get these improvements. Ive been down my own rabbit hole since i bought a new john deere Z760r this past April. The factory blades (UC14208) for that mower are not that great. But to the point, I've researched blades (TCU15881) for a z950m that are, in fact, hi-lift more robust blades and fit my z760r. Which are also a listed option for the 1025r mowers. Also upgraded the MCS bags to those from the z9 (AM135816) series as well.Went from 6.5 bushel to about 10 bushel. I know your channel is about the tractors, but I just felt compelled to tell you. Maybe this is useful info to someone. Anyway yall be blessed and have a great day.
Thanks for this video Tim. I'm looking to get a sub compact soon and I've went from being sold on a bx23s to now plan on going with a 1025r tlb thanks to all your videos. Love how easily implements change on the 1025r
You won’t be disappointed! I’ve got a few kubotas but found the comparisons that Tim did a few years ago and changed my mind as well. Went with a 1025R TLB over the kubota and love it!
I'll always say that if its not money or size constraints and you plan on doing a lot of work with the tractor..consider looking into the 20 (38r) series :) you would get loads more tractor. Tim even has a video about it
@nekoroms ive kicked the idea around going bigger but I dont want a second machine for mowing the lawn area of the property and had troubles with a kubota l3800 tearing up grass in the past. Would a bigger tractor get stuff done quickly and more efficient, absolutely but I think I'm ok taking things slower with a sub compact since I do have the luxury of being retired so I got time to mess around lol
@@zacrussell8873 its not always about time...if you do loads of medium loader work a bigger tractor wont tip over immediately there is a small rock under a tire... or the 3 point arms lift way more or higher off the ground. All tractors do tear up ground to a degree and you cant mow right next to a object with a mid mower
No need usb waist of money higher quality accessories like remote hydraulic switches The hydraulic safety valve under seat bad when dealers says we selll ten of those a week .
There is absolutely no way i would buy a john deere anything these days. Its just sad. On top of going woke they are the least capable tractors on the market. JOHN DEERE YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING. WE AMERICANS ARE DONE WITH YOUR NONSENSE!
@Will-tm5bj good for you. Go ahead and get another booster and don't forget your mask. You should be wearing that mask everywhere you go. You are correct all Americans are not the same. How do you identify? You do realize after you buy the deere you will have overpayed for the weakest most overated tractor on the market.
