Yeah, agreed. I was being over-dramatic in the vid. I'm using a trigger finger hand for my Deathwing Strikemaster's sword. They're more versatile and look better when the figure is stood with no weapons in hand.
WOW! That's a lot of figures in the comparison section! That's an impressive collection. It's also amazong that you can eye ball them and tell if their sizes are off.
Cheers man. Yeah, thought it would be good to show a few different figures, as these guys are quite big compared to the older 40k models. There's been a size creep from Joytoy for a while now.
Great review, the trigger finger hands are amazing for poses like pointing sword forward or up like on emps champion. You can also remove the cables from praetor but you have to do it slowly and heated, but be careful I accidentaly ripped it and there is a bit still left inside the torso.
Yeah, I agree. Was just being a bit dramatic lol I prefer trigger finger hand overall. I'm using a trigger finger hand for my Deathwing Strikemaster sword for the same reasons you mentioned, plus swinging back kinda pose
I finally unboxed my HH Imperial Fists a couple of days ago and I love them: big and chonky, with a great deal of details in the sculpt. They have been lacking some inking IMHO: those rivets deserve to pop up and I did ink them myself. My favorites are Fafnir Rann and the Praetor gentleman, even with the limits for the articulations: Sigismund looks a bit plain compared to them (again, self-inking improves the look XD). Thanks for the great review!
Thanks Mario! Yeah, these guys are a great start to HH. Tempted to paint the rivets too, would love to have those extra details pop. Sigismund is definitely less impressive visually, there are a few details that could use a bit of paint as well. Nice to pose though, better in hand.
Thanks for the thorough comparisons, Skelly! No one else has compared the 30K figures to multiple 40K body types yet. These figures look fantastic, but the scale difference shown in your video has solidified my decision to just stick with 40K.
You should be very careful, generally speaking. If possible use a hairdryer or hot water and be patient. I've broken figures before. However, I've been handling this lot for a bit and quite familiar with their resilience
Wow, that custom helmet makes all the difference ! I hate it so much when Joytoy doesn't give us a helmet for a character... Lion was what they should always do, 4 different heads ! Choice and safety to give a good example to kids out there
We were definitely spoilt for choice with the Lion! Joytoy just follow what GW offered with their mini. I wish they were able to offer a bit more though!
Just got my first space marine from bottom today and I have 3 more on the way and I love him so far but they’re a little smaller than I thought, the RU-vid figure reviews deff add some size
Awesome! Prepare thy wallet! Haha yeah they are little buggers. The size makes them even more impressive with how much detail they cram in, plus work perfectly in my 1/18 scale collection.
Thanks for the reviews. Might have to pull the trigger on Siggie because of you :D As for Rann, I found that using his or other MKIII IF's trigger hands allow for a better grip on the shield handle.
Cheers Sheo! Sigi is a pretty badass character. I'm sure you could sort him out with a nice helm like Wein Ho. Ooh, nice to know with using the trigger finger hands with the shield. Contrary to what I say in the vid, I actually prefer trigger finger hands as they're more versatile lol
@UncleSheo oooh I think Fafnir is overall the best figure, but I've been playing about with Sigi the most recently. Easiest to take to the sofa and pose and play about with whilst watching Warhammer lore RU-vid vids!
Ah man, that sucks! I was quite disappointed when my Fafnir arrived with no skull on his belt. Having a leg that doesn't stay on is quite discouraging. I've been having slight issues with the knees on all mine, where was yours?
Thanks Gunner! Yeah, these guys look great. I did have QC issues with all, but luckily nothing major. Overall, great start to the HH stuff! Hope everything's been good, mate.
Great minds think a like bro. im going to add magnets to my J.T figs too. for their guns and swords. im working on creating a 1/18 scale sized diorama of Terra and Baal diorama i want it to be a tyranid inspired invasion on Baal. but for the magnets i want to recreate the armoring scene from the game. like the vacpack and shoulder pauldrens and etc... so i know how to really breakdown a joytoy figure so i may know a way to make their eyes light up with led. this is my second message check out my first one i left my email i have some dope ideas i want you to hear maybe we could collab. keep doing your thing bro i really am a big fan fam
Hope they make the black Templar version of Sigismund, great video as always kinda miss skelly 😅😅 can you try putting skelly on one of space marines hehehe
Ooohh would love to see BT Sigi! Yeah, lil Skelly will be back! Hoping to get back to a more regular video output. Just had a lot going on, and suffering a bit with burn-out. Will be back on it soon!
Got them from an online store toyverse.top. They're supposed to be working on an affiliate link for me and money off codes for viewers, but not been updated. Let them know I sent you there if you use them!
the helmet is 3d printed sad joytoy should not take things literally one reason we cannot have Dante (joytoy make a normal tabar no need to copy the mini) really need to start making cloth soft goods
Yeah, I did mention in the vid that it's a print. Unfortunately, Joytoy are beholden to what GW authorise. Cloth soft goods would be a game changer. A lot more companies are offering them now.
