What I love about this fan film is that it portrays how a real kid would probably act during jedi training. Impatient and Irresponsible. If Star Wars was real there would probably be more limbless Padawans out there.

A great storyline, 100% aligned with Star Wars. A strong head apprentice, anxious about "making it", who makes a terrible mistake because of that anxiety, and uses it to learn and become the best version of herself. It could remind you of Luke on one side, or Anakin on the other (who sadly couldn't use his failure as a lesson). Wonderful work.

@@Sednas : Budget has a bit to do with it. Attention to detail and story has much, much more to do with it. Even if it had cheesy stuff like the nerf toys, the story itself is there. The same can't be said of some of the poorer quality works.

I was really digging this too. Though the eager apprentice plotline is sort of a Star Wars cliche that tends to be used a lot in fan films, the writing here was solid and unique enough to really shine through. Excellent cinematography as well, and alongside some great performances this is one of the better fan films I've seen.

Unique writing? You know there's been blind Jedi before and episode four Luke fights a remote with the blast shield down because the force provides a kind of sight, so the fact that she's meant to be blind is about as exciting as a fish with no legs.

Toots Magoot I said "unique ENOUGH." Yeah it's got a lot of clichés, but you're seeing face value here. Welcome to Star Wars. What you are missing is that this is clearly less of a film about the usual Star Wars tropes and more about the theme of respecting the blade. While that may not blow you away, it's actually a topic that's kinda glossed over in other films where they go, "Yo this is a more civilized weapon OH LOOK a situation in which a lightsaber is convenient to whip out and swing around!" Also check out that irony. The main character believes that a lightsaber will "open her eyes" to being a Jedi, but in truth when she accidentally blinds herself she learns to see better than she ever could. I totally get it, it's not all new. But look a little deeper than the cliché moments and you'll find some substance.

Honestly, as someone who's working on my own Star Wars fan film but for the past week has been in a bit of a writing slump, you really got me in the mood to start writing again! This was honest to god AMAZING and deserves more views! I loved how you put across the ideals of the Jedi with the force and light sabers the way the OT described it. Toy Chest Network Thanks for watching! Production was scattered over a few dates so some crew were on some days and some were on other days. We actually never had more than 10 people on set at a time, including cast and crew! Thanks again!!!

force sensitives(of any or no code) can feel everything, similar to daredevils sonar but instead of sound echo its more like force auras, or something matrix like(end of the 1st movie, but force instead of code... unless the force is code, hmmm?), seeing lightsaber blades should be easy as its made from kyber crystals which are force attuned(infused?)

By far the best Star Wars fan film I've seen. Most fan films tend to very lack in writing and acting and focus of VFX and lightsaber duels, this was by far the most believable writing and acting I've seen in a fan film. Well done

Star wars films and fan films will either focus more on Lightsaber fights (mainly prequels) or ideological clashes (mainly OG trilogy), this fan film gave us another case similar to anakin Skywalker where recklessness maims the character and she´s forced to improve on her usage of the force to compensate, the fact this was down in a couple of minutes is great.

damn good cinematography, as well as acting. I liked the Batman Begins vibe w the sword training. There is real talent in the production team as a whole here. Would Love to see a longer, deeper, more complex story from this production team.

1. Scripting. Brilliant use of a limited dialogue that both told the story, and gave us a deep back story to the characters without the need for exposition. 2. Directing. Every scene heightened and served by the camera. 3. Effects. Professional grade. 4. Acting. Awesome. The actors brought their characters and the dialogue to life. I cannot thank you enough for sharing this. It is an amazing gift.

Honestly know nothing about Star Wars. I've never seen them, but I came here because I saw a clip on the Philip DeFranco Show. Your sfx are stunning. Costumes are on point and cinematography is so professional, I want more! Also want to give a mad shoutout to whoever did that scar makeup because I'm drooling over it.

I agree with jorgex, people hate on the prequels a lot, but without them we wouldn't actually have any canon live action Jedi fights, because the ones we had in the original trilogy was a washed up cyborg that was a cripple and a padawan. We only see the Jedi in their prime because of the prequels. We also GOT DARTH MAUL!!!!

Episode 3 is the best of the mediocre movies, sure, but 4 - 7 are all better by large margin, even with the cheese and camp of the late 70's and early 80's for 4 - 6.

Confident but not arrogant in her confrontation. The tragedy of her youthful exuberance seems to have made her stronger. As close to a perfect portrayal of what a jedi master should be that could be accomplished in 7 minutes. Amazing and beyond well done, this is what Star Wars should be.
