LAST TRIAL: A Star Wars Collateral Story
Synopsis: 18 years after the great Jedi purge and the rise of the galactic empire, a lost padawan acting as a rebel spy and a rookie stormtrooper face the hardest and most important trial of their lives whilst surrounded by a storm of smoke, fire and thousands of blaster bolts.
----
Last Trial - A Star Wars Collateral Story is an Award Winning STAR WARS FAN FILM shot in El Teide, a volcano in Tenerife, Canary Islands. It was directed by Marino Darés and features Pablo R. Montenegro and Alex Falcon as the main cast.
The original soundtrack was composed from Florida by Jake Cadmus, who also created the music for the well known fanfilm Vader: Shards of the Past (2018) by Star Wars Theory.
The shooting was supported by the official administration of the Teide National Park and a local fan group, Fuerza Imperial de Tenerife.

I’ll be honest I teared up a little by the time it finished. Despite it being a short fan film, I enjoyed it quite a bit and felt like I was a kid again watching Star Wars for the first time. Splendid work in my opinion.

Highly debatable. These fans films are great, but the acting is camper than Luke moaning about not being allowed to go to the academy. Surely it’s not very hard to find excellent out of work actors to play a Jedi who’s not surprised when he can use the force.

Whether or not it was intentional, the hole in the storm troopers helmet shows awesome symbolism of a shift from being a mindless, robotic stormtrooper for the empire to exposure of the face and therefore a heightened display of individualism and identity. Awesome short film! Enjoyed it.

We don't get anywhere near enough content of Padawans so smoothly transitioning to Knight, most get too cocky and get themselves captured or killed especially in such a situation it makes for an especially interesting angle to work with :v Edit: that being said rip rookie jedi knight, you tried your best and had a neat moment, here's to hoping TK-438 handles the main quest well!

This was wonderful! Everything from the story, down to the effects was amazing! Even if their wasn't that much dialogue the acting spoke louder than words ever could. Overall, this was a 10/10 film.

Loved this. I saw A New Hope on opening day in 1977. I was 23 & there had never been anything like . It was something to behold. First of its kind. This movie, tho short, had me cheering the kid who has been taken by the bad guys, but is still a good guy at heart. This has the core value of SW, that anyone can be a hero if you just do the right thing.

RU-vid has recommended a couple of Star Wars fan films recently. One other got more views and all kinds of accolades in the comments, but honestly it was trash. Bad acting, bad directing, the principal character was a teenager but written with the personality and character of a 5 year old. This one? This one is great. This one is wonderful. This made me **FEEL** things. No unnecessary dialogue, no evil monologues, no dumb macguffins. Just believable, meaningful characters. I felt your Padawan's slow realization of confidence after losing his braid. I felt his triumph as he recovered his data disk. I felt his sorrow at getting shot because he celebrated too soon. Good job. Please do more.

Amazing production value ! Very clever and well done visual effects 🔥 The Canary islands set brings an incredible visual render too ! (Canary islands are definitly part of the SW sets catalog!) The acting was so cool as well as the framing. This short film is what the fans need. In one word : brilliant ✨

Was kinda disappointed that the stormtrooper didn't actually use the force, was sensing some story there. Like every moment when no one is looking he practices with the force with youthful abandonment. Would've been cool if that was the reason this Jedi was here in this moment, he seeks his Padawan and he knows it is the stormtrooper.

That was phenomenal! I hope there’s a sequel! It definitely brings up a good question. Can clones really be Force sensitive? It wasn’t entirely clear if the Storm Trooper moved that rock or if the Jedi did it. I’d love to see more, though!

Oh I agree! Keeping people guessing is fantastic too. That’s one of the things I loved the most about how “The Thing” ended. You had no clue if it survived or not. Then the credits rolled.

Remember in the ice cave? Luke had to meditate and relax. Allowing the force to flow through him. It takes an endless amount of patience for the force to work.
