I had surgery a couple of years ago and and extended stay in a hospital as I recovered. I was very surprised at how different and improved the food was from when I was younger. Get well soon Kev.

Doesn't look like your Dr ordered any dietary restrictions, so you get the regular menu to choose from. Good choices, they look tasty. Get well soon!✌️

Hospital food will ALWAYS get a bad reputation, specifically because it is associated with such a negative overall experience. Whether you're there for yourself or a loved one, no one wants to be in a hospital as it is usually not for the best reasons, (unless it's a birth or a life improving surgery). The hospital cooks definitely have their worked cut out for them between needing to make a balanced meal for the patients while also working within a budget and making it as palatable as possible. P.S. I hope you get well soon Kev, you're the bright spot in a lot of people's days and I hope we can redirect some of that energy back at you when you're feeling under the weather!

Sorry to hear you were in the hospital, amigo. I hope you are doing better. I love the fact you did a hospital food review! Right up my alley. Fun fact: my guilty pleasure is hospital food 😂. As a kid being poor my gma would take me to eat at the hospital cafeteria after her appointments. Great price, large portions and the food was good! I have also spent the last 20yrs in and out of hospital over my own chronic issues. So maybe I'm just used to it. It's kind of a comfort food for me. Because the hospital means no more pain and recovery on the horizon. I will say it has definitely gotten better over the last 20yrs! If I get nostalgic in between visits I like to go to a hospital cafeteria near by for sushi Mondays!! A Sushi chef actually comes in to make them. Wild! And delicious! Even the best rolls are not more than $5 ea. Certain hospitals have a forte when it comes to a certain food or dish too. 😂 Just call me the hospital cafeteria connoisseur.

Bud I just got out of the hospital on a five day stay for diverticulitis with a perforated colon. Almost had to have surgery. It was no fun. The food was actually pretty darn good, especially the lemon meringue pie! Wishing you the best bud. Let’s hope we both avoid the hospital for a bit now.

Good afternoon, Kev, and I’m so sorry you’re back in the hospital but I’m glad you enjoyed that meal and dessert; when I was in Jersey City Medical Center several times years ago, the first after the third of my three stents was put in (first 2 were done while I still lived in Queens, NY) And then later, on from my quadruple bypass, I have to say the food was not all that bad but especially after the bypass, I was in no mood or shape to eat solid foods the first couple days; I will say that Breakfast video you did the first time you were there and now this dinner video made everything look and sound pretty good; I continued prayers for your good health and wishing you a speedy recovery from this visit 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Ah, that's why you're back in the hospital, for the food, just kidding. I hate that the hospitals I stay at don't let us pick our own food. I don't mind hospital food, but would like to pick my own food. The food is fuel to get us better. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Kev, I'm sorry that you're back in the hospital. I was there 13 times last year and it's not a fun place to be. But I like how positive you are. I hope you get better soon.

Definitely better looking food than the last time I saw hospital food - my grandfather was at the veterans hospital back in 2019, going through a cancer reaccurance, he unfortunately passed. Miss him dearly. The food they fed him was awful looking and most of it looked like bland mush and even though he was very sick and probably did not have much of an appetite it did not help that their food was unappetizing mush. Get well my man. I see your more recent vids and you look good. I spent 28 days in the hospital after a motorcycle wreck at 14 yrs old. Ate lots of that type food. Back in 1969 it was pretty decent, and they gave me extra stuff cause they felt sorry for me. One nurse even came and played chess with me on her day off! Cookie was her nickname…shout out to nurses who care for us all at some point…

I was in the hospital for a good 4 months last year. The food was the best at any I’d been to before. The double cheeseburger and apple pie was my go to!

First off, I hope whatever you are in the hospital for that you have a speedy recovery❤ and side note... just a little life hack for people who are out driving , doing routes, working on the road ... I used to work for an ambulance company, and my partner and i would often go to the hospital cafeteria to eat... It's often affordable, with healthy options, and I'm pretty sure it's the same food served to the patients
