The fact that the man insulted a whole country by giving their traditional breakfast 2.5 so he did it again just to rate it 1.5 stars is legendary.

Try sweden: option one: knäckebröd with butter, if you are in a fancy mood you put cheese ham or "kaviar" ( sugarsalted and smoked cod roe in a tube) on it, maybe with even egg slices. Option two: oatmeal porridge, preferably thick like a pudding and a bit salty, warm but served in a deep dish with cold milk so it gets cold, topped with jam or applesauce, option 3: Fil ( kinda like liquid sour cream but without cream) with corn flakes or muesli. Rinse down with half a litre of black Coffee, and off you go in the dark to your job or school. It will be dark when you get home too, but if lucky you see daylight at your lunch break or from a window. Its amazing we dont self delete ourselves more often.

Regarding the Japanese breakfast - when I worked in Japan, we had the opportunity at the hotel to take your 10/10 Japanese breakfast or European breakfast (eggs with bacon, toast with butter and jam, salad). On a weekday we choose a European breakfast, and on a weekend - a Japanese one. Do you know why? Yes, because even eating a Japanese breakfast takes much longer! If we ate a European breakfast in 10 minutes, then a Japanese one took about 30 minutes. It cannot be eaten quickly. So yes, it's tasty and healthy, but only if you have a lot of time in the morning. So this is clearly not an ideal breakfast.

As a Filipino, I’ll take the 8/10. However, to address your primary concern, the fact that it took a while to make, what most people do is marinate the meat overnight so that it‘s ready the next day and all you’ll have to do is fry the rice and egg. You can also upgrade that dish by adding some sinigang soup on the side, just the broth and some veggies will do. Edit: Spelling

Russia here. Agreed on syrniki, when prepared properly, they’re amazing! Use cranberry, lingonberry or raspberry varenie (a more runny jam) for less sweet but more sour taste. We also have kasha, sort of boiled grains (?), sometimes with milk like oats, and buckwheat that goes great for the beginning of the day. In freezing winter hot oats with fresh berries, some rye bread with southern white cheese and coffee or cocoa will make your morning better and brighter!

The UK full English looked good - but it's actually heavier than stated. It usually has fried black pudding in it (blood sausage), and the bread is fried in beef dripping rather than toast. I’m happy that you rated masala dosa a 8.5/10, but it would taste so much better with Sambar and Chutney alongside it. Also , I’d recommend these little soft rice cakes called idli, and crispy fried donut shaped fritters called vada. All these things together form the perfect Indian breakfast.

An Irish fried breakfast varies quite a bit from a 'full English' (which should have black pudding, fried sliced tomatoes and slices of fried bread) in that it has 'white pudding' which is eaten in Scotland too but doesn't have blood in it. Kippers (herring) are also very popular in Scotland for breakfast and Arbroath Smokies (haddock).

I’m Dutch and a breakfast for us is also oats with cinnamon and fruit; wholewheat bread with ham, cheese an egg and lettuce, tomato and onion; pancakes with warm fruit, yogurt and honey; rye bread with whisked eggs baked tomatoes in slices and green onions, etc. The fluffy white ‘bread’ you bought is an imported taste from America. The soldiers brought it with them during the Second World War. It was so sweet that the Dutch thought it was cake and yes as a treat dark chocolate sprinkles are delicious but not good to eat everyday. So if the next time you rate our breakfast and we dive to a 0,5??? We will be alright. Not everyone can stomach our directness. ( seeing the dive from 2,5 to 1,5 😂) Legend 👍🏼 Alsoooooo…… Having this much variety and even more because as we dip in the culinary world of RU-vid, we still be the longest people (we have to be, we live under see level) and one of the happiest on earth (we bike a lot and nature heals). Much ❤ Hope you like the input and banter.

Traditional meals are never as exciting for the natives, if they are being honest with themselves. I am from North Central India, and while the world may go crazy over the most basic of foods from this region and Indians keep feeding the hype, I don't find it all that exciting. I don't dislike it. I find it decent enough, especially if it has meat, but, I'd never pick North Indian from a menu where other cuisines are available. Because I am so used to that flavour profile in every meal of the day, at this point, I have an attitude of "can take it or leave it." I don't want poori, parathas and sabji first thing in the morning. I've only ever eaten those things because that's what mum has made and I don't get a choice in the matter. 😂 Nothing makes me happier in the morning than toasted slices of bread slathered with butter served alongside tea. If I am in the mood for a proper meal, then I would rather have south indian breakfasts or sandwiches. But, I am not getting out of bed for aloo paratha.

From what I have been able to gauge from the comments, a lot of people from various cultures seem to have a similar indifference to the foods and flavours that they have known for as long they've been alive. So many of them seemed to have been genuinely surprised that what they thought of as basic and mundane was rated so highly in the video. From my perspective and to my palate that has been inundated with Indian-ish flavours all my life, the French, German or Japanese option looked far more interesting and inviting than the Indian one.

Being Japanese, I was really surprised out breakfast was so highly rated! It just seems so bland (for lack of a better word) in comparison to the other countries' breakfasts that used all kinds of spices and you could practically smell from the screen. But I guess in the morning, a more reserved breakfast that isn't bursting with flavor could be good for my digestive system as well. Bonus points since I'm a student and it's super easy to put together xD

It's good, but I suspect it might be because of the current obsession with Japanese things being supposedly better than their non Japanese counterparts. People for some reason now think Japanese food, media, lifestyle, etc are "superior". Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the culture but in recent years people my age for some reason are attracted to what they think is Japanese and "exotic" especially here in the West Coast. For example, show someone here a photo of trees on a hill and they wouldn't really care, but you were to instead tell them the photo was taken in Japan, then they will often compliment it and say how beautiful it is.
@Gronolo_31g
@Gronolo_31g Год назад
@@zydn Yeah, there's a major difference between enjoying a culture and, like you said, fetishizing it. The issue is that when you bring this up people accuse you of being cynical or in some cases, racist. As a brazilian i was quite surprised to see the "pão de queijo" as our breakfast. That‘s actually more like a complement or snack. Our typical breakfast varies as the country is really diverse, but it sums up as: a bread called "pão de sal" (you can look up the recipe is really easy to make) which we fill with a bit of butter, ham and mozzarella cheese slices and then put it in a sandwich press to toast it and melt the cheese and butter, to drink a common cup of coffee with milk (try dipping the sandwich in the coffee and milk we always do that), and for side dish seasonal fruits (melon, watermelon, orange, mango, pineapple, etc.)

Not a traditional breakfast anywhere, but it is my favorite breakfast: sourdough baguette almond-butter French Toast. Cut approx. 3/4 inch slices of a crusty sourdough baguette, soak in beaten egg with a pinch of Cream, serve with sliced bananas very briefly warmed in pan that you cooked the French toast in and then arranged on the French Toast, a drizzle of runny almond butter over the bananas, and a second drizzle of maple syrup. Serve with a steak knife, 'cause baguette softens a lot in being soaked and fried, but you'll still want the steak knife. Uses at least one egg, so along with the almond butter it's a balanced breakfast, not too sweet at all. The combo of maple syrup and almond butter with the chewy sourdough is utterly delicious. I've also done it warming the almond butter with a little water and a little maple syrup to make a uniform almond-maple topping, but I actually prefer it with the separate drizzles. Made it for a lot of guests never gotten less than rave reviews. It's not from a country...just from my hedonistic experimentation. Loved your cooking footage and everything about the spirit of your video!!

I'm from Argentina and I didn't realize until now that our typical breakfast is pretty much the same as France lol. Much like for the French, breakfast isn't a very important meal for us, since traditionally Argentines eat 4 meals a day, two small (breakfast and merienda, which we have in the afternoon) and two "full" (lunch and dinner). An alternative Argentine breakfast or merienda could be mate and tortas fritas. Extremely simple and fitting for a small meal.

Also I believe that in every province there is a variation of breakfast but the standard one we have is the one you describe, pretty much france-ish because of how Argentina used to copy European countries, specially France, in the colonial era(te respondo en inglés porque ya que estamos viendo un video en inglés ee)

Yeah, at first in France the 'petit déjeuner' or small lunch was not important at all. But when American brand started getting imported to france, a bunch of studies financed by these brand tried to make us believe that infact the breakfast was the most important launch of the day, which is to this day proven over and over that its was false.

Great video ! The German breakfast is more like something I would pack for lunch - ham and egg or ham and cheese sandwiches with a little vegetation. I had to spend 3 weeks in a German hospital and the breakfast really depressed me. There was a dark bread that was more like shoe leather. The Dutch breakfast was horrible - more like a heart attack waiting to happen. I was shocked how much preparation is required in some of them. I'm English and I love the 'full English breakfast' which only takes about 15 minutes to prepare. Some of the more complex dishes must take a lot longer than that, and some of course (cereal based) a lot shorter. English breakfast is top for me though !! We are what we eat !

My absolute favourite breakfast ever is a simple Japanese breakfast, similar to the one you made, Small bowl of short grain rice (I dont always add Natto, because of the Miso) Small bowls of miso soup, and a fillet of salmon, pan fried and usually salted! I love how its 2 main protein sources (Soy and Salmon) plus the probiotic food (Miso and Natto) Small portion of carbs (I try to get a brown short grain rice, if I can) and also Iodine from the Wakame seaweed, and I think its delicious!

bestie its been a year but im from mexico and here's my recipe for chilaquiles and ive never had "huevos rancheros" but theres something called "huevos a la mexicana" that I really love so ill leave the recipe here aswell chilaquiles for 2 people 3 tomatoes 1 garlic clove 250g of corn tortilla 4 eggs 150g of queso fresco or any cheese you have would do crema (if you can't find it in your country sour cream can be an option but it will taste different) avocado(optional) onion(optional) oil water salt pepper Proper corn tortilla chips in a pan put some oil and and fry the corn tortillas(you can also use an air fryer) put the fried tortillas in a plate with a paper towel under need so the excess oil can be absorbed and season with light salt sause: tomatoes go on a pot add water and boil them until the skin starts breaking off and the tomatoes are soft in a blender add your tomatoes including some of the water that you use to boiled them in add the garlic clove some salt and pepper to taste, blend until smooth leave aside, in a pot add some oil once its hot add your sauce and bring it to a boil then leave it in a low heat for 3 minutes after that just turn off your stove and leave aside Fried eggs honestly just fry them how you prefer it and season to taste (btw you can also enjoy them with some chicken breast its up to the person really) in a bowl/plate place the tortilla chips and add some of the sauce then put your cheese and your egg(or chicken) on top and add more sauce top with some crema(or sour cream) sliced avocado and sliced onion Huevos a la mexicana recipe for one 3eggs 1/2 tomato 1 chile serrano (1/2 depending on your spice tolerance or the spiciness of the Chile you pick) 1/2 onion salt pepper oil just cut tomato, onion and Chile into cubes (disclaimer the Chile can be roughly chop) and them into a pan with oil and cook for a minute or less add your eggs and just make crumble eggs with it, plate it and eat it with toast or corn/flour tortilla
