Thanks so much for taking my question! I realize it wasn't so much an interview question but it's good to know appropriate strategy when it inevitably happens.
Thank you for these tips I haven’t been able to find a job in this field since 2018 when I quit before putting my two weeks and I got an interview today at this really good hospital I am super nervous but these tips have made me feel more confident
I live in FL, ! Broward county. I hv been a nurse for 4+years. I have applied to every hospital in all 3 counties. I have been hearing “you need to have 1-2 yr acute care experience. You know how I feel about this... it feels like I am inside a burning building and tons of fire fighters standing by waiting for me to learn how to stay alive in the fire before they can save me ( just a metaphor). I was an ADN now I have my BSN from UTA, I still can’t get a hospital job. 😢
Very helpful video, thank you!! I have a question maybe you can answer. How do you deal with not feeling well while at work? Or what do surgeons do when they are not feeling well? I am talking about something like diarrhea or vomiting where its not easy to handle. Thanks!! Also, any tips for getting peel packs to land in the sterile field? LOL
Thank you again for these wonderful videos starting my new role soon and I would love some knowledge on safeguarding myself and my colleagues within a surgical setting , also about ppe and contamination i.e blood spills / body fluids ." Thanks" !!
Even though I listed my cases on my resume.it was still not good enough for interviewer. The first thing they say is that clinical experience is not paid experience. And also, clinical experience is just not enough regardless if it's 3mnths or 6mnths. They all want 1-2 years experience.
Rene Johnson Hey, I’m trying to become a surgical tech. I’ve heard your situation with other recent surgical techs in the past. Did you just apply to hospitals or did you also apply to outpatient surgical centers? If so, did they say the same thing ( paid 1-2 years experience)?
@Surgicaltechtips great video Shane! I just had a question about Hours, some hospitals may have 8, 10, or even 12 hours shifts. What are I guess you can say is the “norm” amount of hours that a tech will work. And also if your working 8 or even 10 hour shifts how many cases do you average on a particular day? Thanks for your feedback! Keep up the great work 🤙🏻
I haven’t thought about this until now , does height affect being a surgical tech ? I’m 4’10 I couldn’t imagine not being able to see anything lol that wouldn’t be much help
In the hospital where I did my clinical rotation, there were stools you can stand on. Some surgeons are on the taller side, so I have used them I'm 5'1. We also had a surgeon who needed one himself lol
Hi I'm from Indian and I have completed my bachelor degree in operation theatre technology, what all r the requirements for an OT technician to work in European and American countries, is our bachelor's degree accepted in us and UK #indiandegree
Scrub nurses can preform everything a cst can but are also responsible for more patient care and can also administer med. there's more but for the most part that's the difference. And paperwork lol
This is all wrong, I know how to get hired at any place I walk into. This video is a bunch of malarkey. luckly I don't have to work for anyone anymore.
