@@minyhan6540 yeah for you but for me Express ki is a reality drama as in scenes in this drama can happen to anyone in life but Faith is kinda superficial. For me it's Empress Ki, Six flying dragons, Jumong. Queen Seon Deok and Dong Yi. Watch Jumong and you will never whine over faith
2019 and I still think this is the best kdrama of all time! love the story,the cast and everything. Ha Ji Won is perfect for this role. Hope there will be a continuation. A story during her reign as regent and Empress Dowager.
Yes i agree..this drama is one of the best and its based in history.but so sad coz after 2 years after togon the emperor died empress ki went missing and no one knows what happened to her..their son ayo only reign for 5 years but died in the battlefield.
i think u should also watch The Legend of Zhen huan. its as beautiful as empres ki. and in my opinion the plot in legend of zhen huan is better than empress ki.
@bell198000 You're right - the series is largely fictional - there was no personal relationship between Ki and the Korean King, and she was never a bandit fighter. However, your description of her as meek is completely at odds with the description of her in Wikipedia, "Toghon Temür increasingly lost interest in governing...power was increasingly exercised by a politically and economically talented Lady Gi", so I wonder what source(s) you based that description on?
@bell198000 Thanks for the clarification - I misunderstood you. Whatever else Ki was, she knew how to bewitch the Emperor for many years, when he could have any woman he wanted. Regardless of historical accuracy, Empress Ki was a great series, and Ha Ji Won did a fabulous job playing her fictional character.
Seung Nyang tried to hide her anger..Taltal looked really worried on what is going to come in the palace.. baek ahn looked like he started to doubt his choice going against seung nyang.. AND the senile empress dowager hasnt really realized her mistake and thought that she's winning.. tsk tsk.. wrong move

Oh so the coronation of this 2nd Empress wasnt as grand as TN and in SN on ep.01. It seems like a VIP, strict family affair. If ET clans stayed long enough until the end, they werent probably planning on doing this.

Girl, u da next target!😂 Baekhan even realized it when he saw how Lady Ki looks at his niece. Even Taltal knew something's already been going on inside Lady Ki's head with that intense stare she have😏🔥 They knew Yang isn't one to mess with. She just erase a whole family clan in just over a year (well except one).😌 They should know better lmao. Bae Khan just hand his niece over to Ki like a silver platter.🤭 I like how Tahwan looks at Yang like he knew he fucked up😂 He knew he made a mistake by agreeing to her 'advice' not to make an enemy out of Bae khan😁 Ang my most fave reaction about this whole scene? The three concubines😂 They not happy. I kinda feel like they're not happy because they thought she's another Tanashili who'll make their life a living hell again. But then again, them and Ki turned to friends so maybe that's why they react like that. But hey, i love this trio😂❤ And they knew which 'empress' they'll side to make them safe lol. They already witness it many times.😁
