What a great video! Thanks for giving us such a wonderful view of the balloons, the sky, and the ground action. You really brought us along on the journey. It sure was fun!!
THank you Susan, I tried to make every shot count. . . It is a surreal event being surrounded by these giants that then took-off and flew away. Only to be replaced by another. I'll make another next season.
If I spend 1 hour in a balloon at approx 2500-3000ft? in Albuquerque and all the while the earth is spinning at 1600 KMs/hr=1000 mph(NASA) from west to east, how is it possible to land in virtually the same place(allowing for wind etc)? Shouldn't one land near San Fransisco???
Good point David. As you know, hot air balloons are traveling along almost at the same speed as the wind they happen to be in. The times I took a ride in balloons, you don't feel the presence of wind because you are moving with it. Also amazingly quiet up there but can hear all the dogs barking at you.
