This is maybe the most surprising "it's actually pretty good" on the channel. When I saw the thumbnail I thought somebody had been sick

I eat cottage cheese in lasagna so hot is definitely good.

Yuuuup! I knew this would work, cause I do this with pasta all the time {just not with canned tomato soup}. My Mom's best struggle meal was buttered egg noodles, cottage cheese, salt and pepper. I called it Polish Mac & Cheese. Poor man's ricotta indeed!

Between this and the Tuna-berry sammich, this channel feels like it’s slowly turning into the sammich version of Ordinary Sausage.

"Hot something." was my initial thought, but you sold me. It is basically an Italian adjacent grilled cheese. Might hit it with some parm , might use actual tomato sauce, too. Good job.

Wow I thought this was gonna suck. Like I saw the picture and thought you blended stuff with the cottage cheese. But, this is appetizing and innovative. A sandwich that makes sense. I love the concept of putting a topping on top of a closed sandwich. Makes it a sort of quasi open-faced sandwich. I just might make this. Also if someone says they don't like cottage cheese, they're lying. I understand if you walk into a buffet and see a large container of cottage cheese open to the elements that has an unappetizing appearance. But, that's just anything. Cottage cheese is GOATed

Does have some lasagna vibs. Could do with with warmed marinara sauce. Then my plus up would be shredded mozz and back in the toaster.

For what it's worth, dairy kugel is a noodle casserole made with egg noodles, cottage cheese and cream cheese and it's delicious. this is coming from someone who doesn't like cottage cheese on its own. The ricotta comparison is spot on.

This is a grilled cheese and tomato soup. Honestly what I have gathered is, add cottage cheese to your normal grilled cheese sandwich for more cheese fun. I never thought to put something in tomato soup, I never liked it because it tastes like warm ketchup so maybe that would help me. Great video thanks for the great advice

Surprise of the year right here. That thumbnail looks rank. I guess it makes sense though. Soft cheese, bell pepper, tomato sauce, some kind of starchy thing... it's like a messed up lasagna.

We have a pizza parlor in Ohio called, The Hickory Inn, and it featured pizzas topped with dollops of cottage cheese. As a kid, I thought the idea was revolting, but once I tried it, I was hooked!😊

Woah y'all. Woah. It looks like a cat was sick but it's actually just lazy lasagna. Or a grilled cheese and a soup in one step. Mind is blown; heart inspired. These are my favorite ones. Were it seems impossible but it indeed delivers the flavor.

I went to my Taytos supplier today. They only have prawn cocktail available, which I don't believe would suit your recipe. I hope the shortage of Taytos you were experiencing a few months ago is now over.

I'd try it. Ironically, my issue with this sandwich is the soup. I just don't like tomato soup. All other varieties/versions of 🍅....yes.....soup 👎.

I may be late to the part, but visually I find this sandwich kind of upsetting. It sounds pretty good from your description though. I might try this one on my wife. She is a strong proponent of grilled cheese and tomato soup after all. What brand of soup are you using? It's too dark to be Heinz so I assume Campbells?
