I'm running a 14 t PINION in my street REVO. But think it can handle a larger PINION. Hope that helps ya.

Okay cool so going up 2 more teeth shouldn’t hurt it huh ? Lol I got a 16t pinion but how fast did your revo go with the 38t spur 14t pinion gear ratio ?

Not sure of the top speed but it was fast enough for me. Lol. Ya,16 tooth should be ok. Just watch your Temps..

Not sure about that... maybe ask on a revo group they would have the answer for ya. I don't know alot about the 2.0...

I replaced the stock plastic spur with HR hardened steel spur. Haven't had a problem since.

@@screamingdemonscrew Wow, that metal spur gear is not cheap. Fixing or mod these toys cost much more than buying parts for real vehicles. When installing the new spur gear, how tight do you tighten those 3 bolts, with a little drags?

@@angelisone tighten the 3 screws down tight. The center nut is your slipper clutch adjuster.

It's been awhile since I did it but I believe it's just tighten a bit, not all the way. Until the spur doesn't slip too much and you get full acceleration. The washer is a cone washer,works like a spring. If you over tighten it the washer will crush and not work properly.

I'd definitely go with a steel spur gear. If you want to drive the truck hard,it's a must. The plastic spur gear is ok if it's not adjusted too tight,but it's a very small amount it can be adjusted before it's either too loose or too tight. Thanks for the question,always here to help if I can. 👊👍

@@screamingdemonscrew thanks for the feedback. I'm new to this so I'm learning as I go. I called traxxas and tech wants me to send them back my revo. I pay to get it to them and they'll pay to return it. Do you think I could solve these problems myself? I have until the end of the month before 30 day return is up? Or just send it?

There is probably nothing wrong with the truck, just needs better parts or setup properly. Don't you have a local Hobby shop or any friends that can help you out?
