What was your favourite bike from the Malverns Classic Show and Shine? Is there a retro bike you’ve always wanted? If money was no object what would you be trying to source?
I'm cheap; Moots YBB, and Turner Stinger are the only two I've never managed to find used for a price I'd bite for. If I was to drop big green on a bike now, it would be for something unobtainable, like a custom fat tire ebike in Reynolds 953 with belt drive, a Rohloff rear, and carbon bits everywhere else. That being said, I can still spend half a day staring at old C-dale fat tube hardtails....😊
The full Ti Xizang was my halo bike when I was a kid. I would love to get one with modern geo and 29” wheels. The OG Ti Hei Hei was also up there. Oh…. And a Richey Team Edition with the softride stem that Frischy rode. So many to choose from but those are my all time favorites
A Bontrager Race Lite like I used to own in the 90's. Sold it cheap when I was desperate for cash in '99. One of my dumber moves in life, for it was an absolute barnstormer of a cross country bike.
Doddy the legend will be missed. Always feel like I am hearing from an old friend who lived all the same MTB experiences I lived back in the day. My first serious ride was a Giant CFM3 1992 and I changed the fork to the original Girvin with the yellow elastomers Would love to see one again!!! Love to own it again
Doddy is a one off, he has passion, integrity, vast knowledge and a very real love of mountain bikes. He has crafted his shows, which comes across to the viewer. that's why they are the best on your network by a mile.
I rediscovered my passion for mountain biking after 20 years of not riding. I've been a massive fans of GMBN and especially GMBN Tech for an year now. Doddy you'll be missed, thank you for everything and good luck with your next endeavors! Cheers
When I started riding 2 years ago, this channel was the first MTB channel I subscribed to. Learning all the tech stuff to be able to strip my bike and put it together, Doddy has been on that journey with me. I would like to thank you for sharing your immense knowledge and history of MTB with the rest of us. Good luck to your future endeavours and you will be missed.
Gutted you are leaving Doddy, you will be missed. Loved your enthusiam & bike geekery over the years. Thanks for all the hint's, hack's, tips & instructional videos 👊🏻
Really going to miss you Doddy here in SoCal USA. I’ve enjoyed your vids so much over the years and gained loads and loads of knowledge. Much appreciated friend from this ol’ 72 y/o Levo rider. Pls keep everyone in the loop as to your next endeavors. Cheers 🎉
I’m 17 and If it wasn’t for doddy with his knowledge on the tech channel I wouldn’t have got myself a bike mechanic job in a bike shop and then going on to run a class teaching people how to maintain and build bikes. I’m really grateful as I now have a love for retro mountain bikes since I found the channel in 2020. All the best with your future 🚵🏻🚵🏻♂️
Thanks for teaching me so much over the past six years Doddy. Your positive vibe drew me in and kept me, and you moved the community forward. Well done!
I keep meaning to send in my bike to the uploader. I bought it in 2019 and realized that I have replaced every part except the seat. Just did a refinish on my frame and now I'm dissapointed that Doddy won't see it. He is a big part of my MTB content and sopmeone I'd really like to show something I'm proud of!
You can't name a more iconic duo than Doddy & GMBN Tech! You've been an incredible presenter, bike nerd and educator for these past 6 years Andrew! You will be missed, not just by us viewers but I'm sure everyone at at the GCN/GMBN offices. Anna you're an incredible human, really wholesome ending, I think there was someone cutting onions near me while watching, as tears were forming.
I'm new to the Gnar, I've been watching for only a year now but feel like ive been here for years. The videos are infectious, and you'll definitely be missed. May the force be with you Doddy.
I am a huge Doddy fan. My very first comment to him I actually addressed him as Andrew but was quickly corrected. Over the years I grew to LOVE all his content. Such a wonderful guy and I will miss him dearly. I will still get my Doddy fix through his Instagram posts. Love you Doddy. Good luck on your next adventure.❤
Where are you going Doddy, thanks for all you do for the vintage mtb scene....I wish in America we had vintage mtb revivals like you guys do across the pond, its just a matter of time....take care buddy!
Sad to see you go Doddy, been watching your show since the first lockdown, such a knowledgeable guy and engaging to watch. Think I’ll have to go back and watch all the old videos that I missed pre-lockdown! Cheers for the Vids, and all the very best in your future endeavour. Cheers, Rob
Doddy You introduced me into having a go at maintaining my bike after getting back into biking following a massive accident at work. From that I’ve watched GMBN loads on how to improve myself as a rider I’m a mechanic at heart and loved your videos on how adjust and maintain anything on a bike and make it look easy giving me the confidence to do it myself You and your teams videos have helped me loads with giving me back some freedom on the trails and at home tinkering on my bikes after some dark times a few years ago after my accident Thank you and good luck on your next venture
A lad I went to school with, had a tushingham b52, his dad owned the windsurf factory. That lad had everything! Go kart, quad bike, full size snooker table!😂❤
A legend you are, Doddie. You’ll be missed, but I looking forward to whatever bright future venture you’re gearing up for. You’ve inspired me in so many ways, I couldn’t tell ya. Thanks from across the pond. You’re the Doddfather!!!! Love ya brother!

I’m so bummed Doddy is leaving. Super glad I still have loads to tech videos, to keep my bike running too top. As for Classic bikes, I really miss my 2001 Mountain Cycle San Andreas XC. I’d love to have just a frame as a wall hanger. Best of luck to you Doddy! Hope to see you on another channel
Doddy, you are an absolute legend. What you have taught me about bikes parts and building is a knowledge I'll carry everywhere it was your drive and your enthusiasm that got me into the world of mountainbiking and for that i thank you. I wish you all the best for your future endeavours and thank you for the time and dedication you put into your videos Best Of luck
I’ll miss this guy for real!! Pretty much everything that I do on my bike is because I have Doddy videos to guide me through. Good bye old friend , good luck on your new adventure.
Best of luck doddy. When I 1st started mountain biking I hammered the tech videos learning so much. Feels like the end of an era, thanks for the content and all the best. 🤙🏻

Farewell, doddy. ever since i started mtb you have always been on my screen and guiding me to make my bike feel mint and look it to. thank you so much and good luck and fare well.
OMG how did I miss this? Where are you going Doddy? I've been watching GMBN for years and have to say the TECH show is what keeps me coming back. I was going through a pretty rough break up around the time Doddy started and boy did Doddy and GMBN help me remember what's important.
Doddy you are a wonderful human being and a huge loss to the channel, but your legacy lives on! Many an evening has been spent following your guidance videos so thank you 🤘❤️🌈🕊️🌎
I’ve watched Doddy for years loved how he explained everything that he did he will be missed. My retro ride that I built was a 93 Cannondale Delta V. I went with modern drivetrain, 720 mm bars, linear pull hydraulic disc brakes. It was on the bike vault when Isaac Maundy first show Dirt Shed Show 426. Best wishes Doddy.
Daddy sad to see you go, but all the best for the future. Watching your affection for old school mtb, really got me back into mountain biking. You demonstrated that even us old boys can still have fun 👍 Good luck with whatever you do next , you're a top dude ❤
Doddy thanks for everything, it was very nice to see all your videos and get infected with your passion for bikes and Tec 😊... Wish you the best for the future...
Dodd! You will be missed! I thought I knew a thing or two until I come across GMBN tech all them years ago! Learnt so much from you and made me fall back in love with mountain biking again as an adult! Even if it has cost me £££’s!!! Good luck on your next adventure!
Doddy is undoubtedly the best part of this entire outfit, and will be sorely missed. I wish him the very best in his new role, and look forward to learning where I can follow. And maybe buying a bike from a brand smart enough to recruit him.
I gonna cry. Thanks Doddy you gave me a lot of motivation and informations about mtb, riding, fixing mtb and more and more. I will gonna miss you at the tech show. Wish the best for your career.
Doddy, say it's not so! It has been absolutely brilliant watching and learning from you over the past 6+ years on GMBN! I keep my Nukeproof Reactor Factory Carbon running at 100% with your tutorials (bought new in '20, influenced by you and their channel sponsorship - still the only bike I ride for park and enduro!) - i.e. full fork & shock service/rebuilds + setup, derailleur install and tuning, everything to do with tubeless tires, and more! If you stay, GMBN will launch the Andrew Dodd line of Professional Hair Care and Bike Lubricant & Grease products 😜👍‼️ You're awesome, dude! Keep doing what you do 😎👍‼️
Thank you Doddy! You empowered me to start maintaining my own bike rather than running to the bike shop for every little thing! We will miss you so much! I wish you success and joy in your next adventure!
It's cool to see the 20th anniversary GT build again because I'm sure I remember Doddy saying that he had lost track of that after it was given away in the competition. Still looks perfect as well.
Doddy. Wishing you the best in your future career. Will miss your great knowledge, humor, attitude, persistence, talent, skill...and the hair! Cheers!!!
Doddy! Thank you very much for sharing all the wisdom during all these years. Best of luck on the new assignment and in the future. You will be missed for sure - wishing you all the best always from Tampa, Florida,USA.
its been fab watching you over the years, the number of times the how too walkthrough videos either helped me or encouraged me to have a go at something I haven't done before, will be missed on the channel, all the best for your next chapter in life

Doddy, you'll be missed! You're always so passionate when presenting on any MTB topic! And I've learned so much from you, bike tech related and bike maintenance related.
Doddy is the reason I am broke. He inspired me to build my own bike from the frame up. I now have fallen in love for MTB, have several bikes and a bike cave. Thanks for the inspiration and guidance and best of luck for the future 👊🏻🤟🏻
Mate I kept looking at you when Ratpak was on and when I was roped into the lake ride but couldn’t say owt cos I would have cried 😢 Just loved nerding out watching you on YT and I wish you all the best for the future mate, stay fabulous 👊
Genuinely gutted to see you go Doddstar but onwards and upwards, nothing is forever! You've made the show as successful as it is, you should be proud. I've followed your work since the MBUK days and wherever you go next will be exciting to follow your journey 💪
Been watching since those dark days of the first lockdown and I've been watching every video ever since, doddy's passion and positive outlook have been such a pleasure and it feels like losing a riding partner. All the best wishes on the future and thanks for the memories 🙌
