i have to say looking at these new builds of hot rods are great BUT hot rodding to me is back when you went out got an old body and frame and a lot of trips to the junk yard looking for parts and spending all your free time putting together a home built rod that you could be proud to say I BUILT THIS FROM OLD PARTS and some even looked a lot better then those high dollar cars. Today everything is brand new from vendors and its like putting a model together. I am not knocking anyone but I rather take my home built rod and have fun, not afraid of getting it dirty and yes if it has flaws well i dont care because to me thats old school hot rodding 101.
I met jimmy when he first started at so-cal so I had my streetrod 40 Chevy pickup built somewhere else. You can never change these kinds of arrogant pricks so move to a better builder. And I did , First place at half the price. Dave.
I love this type of Series. I loved the Chopper build thing and now I get to see Hot Rod Build off. I am from Germany, but I LOVE these beauties. Keep them coming!!
Met Shine 15 years ago at SoCal Speed Shop. He was learning how to become an egotistical ass hole from the King of Ass Holes, Pete Chapouris. Still has a long way to go! He couldn't carry Jessie's jock!
This video inspired me to try to be a mechanic. I remember watching this with my dad back when it was on tv and i remember all the jokes hed make. Like you missed the cut dumbass. Lol . I still remember sitting on a barrel watching my dad working on his 69 nova at night under a light hanging over the garage door near the docks at the welding shop he worked at like 21 years ago. Im scared on how much goes into this profession but im passionate about it and i heard a guy say if your surrounded by things you love you'll be happy. Follow your dreams so hear we go ...
So one does a zz top eliminator convertable. The other, a black version of the jesse james car he made on outlaw garage. Thanks, haven't seen this "innovative" stuff before.
Jimmy talks about how hot-rods are all abut driving, yet he can't start his car. I wonder how the owner feels about that. He also ignores the street-rods that Barry builds, the green Chevy gasser, the Ford Fairlane, cars with monster engines that really go! I enjoy them both, but I think I respect Barry way more than the twerp.
41:50.... or the 'general public' doesn't really give a shit, 9 outta 10 would rather bomb around in a $3k rat rod anyway instead of this garage queen.
My great uncle actually builds and sell hot rods and he just finished an el Camino build but he says his favorite build the he’s done is a 37 Ford that he built some time ago
It was about that when young rodders were taking cheap 20-30 year old vehicles and V8s out of junk yards to build them in the back yard and driving that thing every day Now it's about professionals taking valuable vintage cars and spending a fortune modifying them for old wealthy customers to take to shows - it's a total anachronism. As cool as the nostalgia style cars are, young guys sticking an RB25 in an old 240sx with a stripped interior they use as a daily who are dismissed as "ricers" by rodders are far more in the spirit of the original rodders than this.
nous ont met des vis ou boulons dans tous les trous pour le pistolage pour ne pas devoir repasser le tarots après la peinture car c'est époxy et dur dur à enlever !
Why don't you just go to home Depot and get a whole gallon of earplugs cut them to legth and use those instead of wadding up tape you would save yourself a ton of time just stick them in and cut them to fit 😳
Lets get something straight here on both cars. Both car are great builds, so-cal is more my taste but both cars even though one is steel and one is glass, they are both reproduction aftermarket bodies and frames. If you haters want to keep calling the glass roadster a kit car then you have to call the steel one that too.
Europeans have super car - better than the Chevy Corvette .. A Polish engineer to the small Peugeot 207 interceded engine of the Lamborghini .. Peugeot fastest in the world seen on RU-vid : Peugeot 207 swap v10 Peugeot 207/Lambo
Those fiberglass cars aren't real cars I like the ratical rat rods. To me you don't need money just creativity. The more moldings and reveals you add the more work it adds.
