The funny thing is Hearts of Steel Bumblebee wasn't actually Bumblebee, but a bot (from a race that looked nearly identical to the Autobots) named Centurion that was (along with his fellow comrades) reprogrammed by Shockwave to THINK they were the Autobots. So, even though this is named the characters ACTUAL REAL NAME, Hot Soldiers can still get away with it. haha
fishpop but actually I was still right. I said different race, not species. Caminans (or whatever the populous of Caminus is called) are themselves a different race, but not a different species.
I know there's a bunch of comments saying that this isn't Bumblebee but has anyone stopped to consider that maybe he knows that and he's referring to him as hearts of Steel bumblebee cuz that's who most people originally knew him as and anyone who hasn't seen the twist who watches this video would still just think he's Bumblebee
Wow, this looks like an awesome figure. Only thing (beside the hammer being hollow. I agree that it stinks) is that I wish that it came with an alternate face with a cowcatcher-styled faceplate like Centurion (the comic retcon that this Bee is another guy) had later on. I think it would have looked really cool.
IDW Centurion has more flare on his back tho and has the knight face mask. They look really similar, but this is supposed to be HoS Bumblebee. The could easily retool this to be IDW Centurion.
They are the same character. The story officially made HoS canon. Centurion reformatted later on, with a different alt mode, which is why he looks different in current appearances.
Awesome review man I recently reviewed this figure freaking awesome I love how he turns into a train I hope hot soldiers do some more of the hearts of Steel from the IDW comic book
Damnnn this is nice. Hearts of Steel is a unique take on Transformers and this clearly represents it alongside the Knight Morpher series...kudos to you Emgo, Cool review as usual!!
Transformers Hearts of of Steel Bumblebee is awesome thank you for the video Emgo stop Bee Hammer Time Bumblebee like awesome with a hammer and the movie version too.
Davie L arts Far too busy doing another Bruticus or any S1-3 combiners and another MP G1 Masterpiece figure that will be rendered pointless when the genuine article arrives to bother touching HoS.
It's interesting, on BBTS this is listed as Iron Hero. Preliminary name, perhaps? Either way, I"ve been hoping somebody would review this dude. Thanks!
My fiance came into the room when she heard the Simpson's reference and said "oh my god Bumblebee as a cute little train I need it!" Lol Bee is her favorite. That ending skit lol, Optimus is feeling sassy.
Centurion: Hey! This isn't Cybertron. Where the slag am I? Thomas: Hello, Bumblebee. Welcome to Sodor! Centurion: ... ... ... Ratchet, ground-bridge me back to base.
Where are the m.p. animated figures? I'm surprised they aren't made yet. the only thing close was that pipes and huffer thing. I'm not blaming you. just saying
Since some people here seem to be confused I'll explain: The Hearts Of Steel Comics are Universe Primax 706.05 Gamma The IDW Comics are Universe Primax 1005.19 Gamma They DID NOT Retcon the events of the Hearts Of Steel Comics into happening to a group of Time-Travellers instead of the Autobots and Decepticons What they did was Retcon that the events of the Hearts Of Steel Comics ALSO happened in the IDW Comics to a group of Time-Travellers
Mine got here today. Joints are stiffer than expected, feels like I'll break it, so mine's still UNTRANSFORMED in ROBOT mode. :( Instructions are useless. Please redo the video to show transformation from robot to train mode.
I found this little guy at one of my local Transformer shops, called Lobo Comics (I live in New Mexico) and after a rather down day, I wanted a little treat to myself- thus, after learning he was only $24.99, I snatched him up. It's an awesome little figure and I wish I could find the submarine version of Shockwave to go with it. The only problem is the lights- mine are so loose that I can't really get them to stay on. I might just leave them off until I can get some highly effective glue, but until then, I'm happy with Centurion (^_^).
About those names on the box, they are a straight translate of their Chinese names. They sound good in Chinese, and ridiculously silly in English. Those names are mainly from mainland China. I believe in Hong Kong, and Taiwan they have different names.
I wonder what percent of your audience got the Hammertime bit without having to look it up or asking something. I vaguely remember watching the cartoon as a kid. If someone did make a Hearts of Steel Megatron do you want the 19th century pistol or the cannon?
with the optimus prime train i feel more comfortable calling it a bootleg, because of how unimpressive it is engineering wise, plus the wheels just look like (cue danny devito yelling trash)
The funny thing is, the artwork I saw for HOS Megatron showed him as either the type of cannon used in a WWII reenactment or as a mass shifting navy revolver
No In the IDW Comics the events of the Hearts Of Steel Comics happened to a group of Time-Travellers one of which was Centurion The Hearts Of Steel Comics however are their own Universe where these events also happened to the REAL Autobots and Decepticons instead of Time-Travellers
A vary elaborate transformation for such a small figure definitely gonna buy him and I want some more hearts of steel figures most definitely the seekers cuz they looked cool in the comics
