I can't tell you enough how much this video has helped. I moved my Hot Springs Sovereign from DFW to Brazil and damage to the mother board while in transit made the heating unit inoperative. I had a Brazilian Jacuzzi tech put in a new heating pump, heating unit, and control panel recently and then drained it before going back to the States for 3 weeks. Upon return I filled the tub and everything worked except no heat. Heater pump was working but I had no indication of circulation with the heat pump. Reviewed your video and learned to disconnect the main line after the Ozone T-connector. Sure enough, gurgle, gurgle and then water came through. Hooked up the line and turned it on and the heat circulation is working perfectly with heat...............Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video. In the spring the heater failed and I drained the tub and ordered a heater. The spa has been drained all summer and today was a good time to fill up for the fall. Shortly after turning the power back on and testing the jets pump the power lamp started flashing. After a few searches I found this Jems! Thanks now the hope is that the new heater is working.
Thanks for the video. There was water coming from the small hose that I disconnected from my check valve. (There was no water coming from your hose when you pulled it off.) Also, I was successful in priming the pump. It did release air from the pipes! The circulation pump is now working. So, I am back to the check valve now. There is water in the tube. I thought there should be air. I am going to replace the injector T. I also got a good deal on a replacement ozone generator.
OMG! Thank you so much I've spent the better part of my week trying to get our hot tub fixed and it turned out to be the ozone check valve! I cannot thank you enough. Liked and subscribed for the amazingly helpful video!
If you have a really old Hot Springs, I will not recommend to prime the circ pump at the wall fitting at 1:50, you CAN break the fitting, and will have to re-plumb, and I tell you re-plumbing a non easy water line, is really a pain in the button, even more a Hot Spring.
Undoing the ozone hose by your video's guide, letting some air and water run out and putting it back fixed my problem. The water was not heating and no bubbles were coming out after a filter clean. Both lights were flashing. After doing the above, flipping the breaker, voila. Thanks for your video, I'm up and running again.
Darn it. I'm having kind of the same trouble (very little bubbles), but also the Power and the Ready lights keep blinking. So I figured it was a bigger problem. Now I've emptied out all the water.... oh well. Will check the ozone hose and the filters at least. Hopefully this works.
My Soverign model is not heating. It is late 90's model and does not have Ozone device. So the middle steps aren't possible. Replaced filters. What else can I test or try?
My spa went cold, so I tested the heater and there were zero ohms, so I ordered a heater. They sent me one without the pressure switch wire. When I called them to ask for a different one, they told me to just leave it plugged into the main board and jump the two small wires together and it will work. Did this fry my heater relay? Or was it already bad? Please help me 😳. I now have a burned up heater relay.
@@rodneytomWA I had to replace the controller/board was fried, wasted a bunch of time and money. it was the only thing not working so process of elimination, wish I started on that end but it was working when it was unhooked from the old location 🤷♂️
