I think the last 8 (or more) years proved that being likable/relatable is not a requirement to become president. Plenty of Presidents were extremely wealthy too (millionaires & billionaires). A CEO is 100% more qualified to run a country than a relatable, average joe who has no executive experience.
@@tylerschroeder3722well unfortunately the Left is has lost all common sense since 2016…. So yeah being “conservative” now is just being reasonable from 10yrs ago.
Isn’t Bob Iger the one who enabled Disney to go woke to a freakish degree? And isn’t that the same manipulative guy who, behind the scenes, tried to control Elon by threatening him with a widespread advertising boycott - which compelled Elon to publicly tell Bob to F off? Throwing out names like Iger and Jamie Dimond is just incredibly out of touch. Come on.
Trump has moderated his position immensely to the point that it's very suspicious. Unfortunately I believe the only reason wall street and silicon valley are supporting him now is because he no longer is working for the people. Just like 99% of politicians in our history have been made to... The West is in grave danger. Those who run the world want to replace our nation states with a global technocracy
They're Venture Capitalists, Private Equity and Entrepreneurs / Business Owners. They automagically go to famous Business leaders, instead of the best person to run the country.
Basically the Elites talking point that does not reflect with what is on the ground. And to be honest, why would those guys (other than Bob Iger) join politics while you can earn more $$$$ by buying both party or either party
On German Media they said: Russia shot down Ukrainian missiles and the debris is what rained down on the Beach What is true: I don't know But maybe don't do your vaccation on an occupied island near an active war zone ? Still: any life lost is one too many of course :(
The cluster bomb comment was old for me, but those with a net worth of over 1 million may be new to those viewers. Good on him to slip it in with kamala comment. We are not at war with Russia, but we are really close.
+1 to @thomasfederl9774. I agree that there hasn't been wide coverage in the US media about it. However, I did got an article from News Week about this topic. From what it seems, Ukraine targeted a missile launcher (a valid military target) and the inbound missile was shot down by a Russian air defense system over the beach, causing bomblets to scatter and result in tragic injuries to civilians. Does not have the Russian government responsibility for allowing people to vacation in an active war zone, in the path between Ukraine and valid military targets, and for shooting down the missile in that area?
Friedburg is mistaking business for politics. He is 50x more likely to win the republican nomination than the democrat. Democrats loath successful business people plus he hasn’t built himself up in the party structures.
The left side of the Democratic Party would burn these guys at the stake. Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders etc. Guys like Dimond, Igor, Ackerman have no chance.
Dimon*, and he's a pretty good dude. I think he'd have a good run, but we all know the "candidates" are fixed and do not represent the will of the people. Dimon doesn't want the job anyway though, he's looking to retire in the next few years.
I think Mr. Sacks looks genuinely sad that the country he loves is a disaster. He didn't realize it until recently, I think. The black pill is a bitter one. But then comes hope. So, no one quits, no one gives up. This is all we have.
Friedburg doesn’t seem to understand how his party works. The structures of the Democratic Party has already got their chosen successor. The party is setup to block anyone to co-opt them like Trump did the Republican Party. Because republicans do not look at successful business people like they’ve stolen from someone else. How will you get the 20% of progressives to vote for Jamie Dimon, are you kidding me?
They’re all wrong about The Social Media Company controversy. They never mention how section 230 gives these companies special immunity against libel. If you get special immunity to not be held liable like a magazine or newspaper might, then you cannot make editorial decisions. But if you behave like a publisher and make editorial decisions, then you should lose this special immunity that treats you like a utility.
Section 230 should not cover internet companies making editorial decisions. We have never had a phone company taking away Jay Battacharya's account because they don't like his stance on vaccines response, everyone can use the phone system. This should be the same standard for internet companies. I agree that Facebook should not be held liable for what their users post, however, their actions in amplifying, banning or otherwise promoting a certain viewpoint are their actions, to which they should be just as responsible for as The New York Times.
Your newspaper analogy is wrong. If I have a bar or a restaurant or a hotel or an all in conference where I’m creating a business where people are coming together, I have the right to make rules at my discretion to ensure a certain experience for my customers. And if someone says something offensive that is making my other customers leave, I have the right to kick them out. The bar bouncer or hotel manager doesn’t say you have free speech on private property, they say, “I’m sorry sir but you’re disturbing the other guests. I’m going to have to ask you to quiet down or I’m going to ask you leave.” Same thing here
@@youtubingperson5686 section 230 already allows the removal or restriction of content deemed obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, excessively violent, harassing, or otherwise objectionable whether protected by the constitution or not. If a platform wants to go further than that, they can, but they are acting as an editor should be liable for it. For example a a bar that bans gay or trans people for making customers uncomfortable.
Bob Iger? The average person does not like him. Does everyone forget he is failing with Disney and they have been the subject of many boycots? Bob Iger has a reputation of being a greedy out of touch elitist.
Probably before Clinton but when did the republicans do it ? Democrats sold out to corporate america and wall st starting with Clinton in the 90s which these guys would love to have in office today. The real question is when did the republicans do it ? Never because that’s their default state.
Liberals are in denial of their party being anti democratic and totally in denial that socialism Marxism and communist leaning policy is an absolute disaster.
Meanwhile, guys, those poor innocent people are rotting away in a stupid DC jail being abused, horribly and not even charged… And no one even talks about it anymore. It’s indecent..

If George is a lifelong Dem, does he protect Biden with softball questions, or does he protect the Democrat Party and ensures Biden steps down? Quite the dilemma 😂
Yes, David Sacks drew me in and I’ve recommended the show to others. I didn’t know any of you and now I love listening to you guys. 🇺🇸 Sacks and Chamath are very well informed.
The answer is found in Eisenhower’s speech on the military-industrial complex which also includes the MSM. It is just awful how far down this country has fallen since WW2

My encounter with the Director of NSA: In 1965, I was a young soldier undergoing training with the Army Security Agency (ASA), the enlisted arm of Army intelligence. It was impressed upon us that we operated under the authority of the Director of the National Security Agency (DIRNSA), pronounced as a single word rather than an acronym. We were explicitly informed that DIRNSA possessed the authority to issue any directive deemed necessary for the welfare of the nation, and moreover, that he enjoyed immunity from legal accountability. As a new recruit, I lacked the standing to question this doctrine. Presently, I am compelled to ponder: where within the constitutional or statutory framework are such powers and immunities delineated? How might one undertake a scholarly inquiry into this matter?
They are not. Laws are created by judicial decisions which requires conflict of an exact nature coming to court. And NS issues have had the benefit of the doubt of being secretive for the greater good. So no such case has come forward before. Had Nixon not stepped down, his plumbers would have invited such scrutiny. BTW, most striking is how little Nixon stretched the law than Presidents since. At the time, trust in the Govt was so high that the public was shocked.
Hello Gentlemen, I have followed the pod since 2021 and it has been a wonderful journey having the opportunity to listen to you guys. I would love to attend and will attend an event coordinated by the All In Group as I know it will be of huge impact to my life. Currently, I am studying and working towards the betterment of my future of which you all have made a grand impression upon. Warm regards, William Howie
I hope we all know that it doesn't matter who is in the 'top job' because this is a systemic problem -- greed. We have allowed many of our economic sectors, to take advantage of the American people. It's disgusting and frightening for the future of our country. I plan to retire at 62 in another country outside the US that is free, safe and very cheap with a high quality of life. I could fully just rely on only my SS if I wanted to when that times arrives but I'll also have at least one pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific lnvestment account with my Abby Joseph Cohen my FA. Retiring comfortably in the US these days is almost impossible.
I know this FA, Abby Joseph Cohen Services but only by her reputation of being a former employee at Goldman Sachs; even though she's now involved in managing portfolios and providing investmnt guidance to clients. I have been trying to get in contact since I watched her interview on WSJ last month
@@RAKelBerquist Well her name is 'ABBY JOSEPH COHEN SERVICES'. Just research the name. You'd find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
Abby Joseph Cohen hooked me up with a late-stage fund that got me in on private shares of some hot companies before they hit the market or blew up. Those investments totally paid off when the companies went public and their stocks shot up. Now, I’m stoked because I’m heading into retirement with almost a million bucks in my portfolio.
This country is a shit show right now! We have damn near unfixable issues looming.. Why are they there? Politicians get pensions, health care, and who knows what else!!!! Ramaswamy is the only guy that could come near fixing this. cut out cancer out, At least 50% of Gov, teach the kids the truth and everyone grow intellectually and morally!!!!!!!
I would like to see him chosen for Trump's vice president. He would get a lot of experience and I love the way he thinks and I believe he loves America so that would be a great team. But he tries to outshine everybody and Trump's not going to have that but he is a very intelligent guy I love to hear his views on everything
I think after serving what Trump for 4 years between the two they could try to get America straightened back up. I don't know why anybody would want the job. It's going to be hell trying undo all the crap that's been done in the last 4 years
Chamath reminds me of a wise Buddhist monk, speaking with the calm of insight meditation. Sacks is a clear thinker who doesn’t get easily swayed by hypotheticals. The four of them together create a well-equilibrated debate and their interview of Trump is by far the most succinct and eloquent Q&A so far. The All-In deserve full credit for the top quality of this interview!
The court isn't a 6-3 Convervative/Liberal vote. It's actually a 3/3/3 Originalist/Government Stateist/liberal vote. Robers, Barrett and Kavenaugh have different ideals than Thomas, Alito and Gorsuch.
David Sacks is the only one who seems connected to the real world and therefore making sense. The other three seem to be too deep in a VC mental bubble.

*Ukraine did not bomb beaches in Crimea. They bombed Russian military sites in Crimea (which is part of Ukraine, not Russia), and some of their missiles were intercepted by Russian surface to air missile defense systems, and shrapnel from that midair explosion landed along the coast, sadly killing and injuring civilians. What Sacks said was not true.
Sacks Lies constantly about these things. He’s WORSE than Neville Chamberlain and should stop supporting Putin and his attempts to destroy Ukraine and reconstitute the USSR and Warsaw Pact.
@@pindapoy1596 No, it’s rational that they intercepted Ukraine’s missiles. Russia doesn’t want their military infrastructure destroyed obviously. But the idea that Ukraine bombed civilians on a beach is just not correct.

Oct 29, 2020 "We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics"-Joe Biden When Obama says "Biden can't win" what he means is no matter how many ballots are manufactured for Biden, the American people will never believe that Biden won. They need Kamala at the TOP of the ticket to at least give the impression that it is a "legitimate" election. Another indication that O'Biden cheated in 2020: >MANY incumbent Democrats LOST their jobs. When Pelosi was scolded by her caucus she replied, "but we got the White House." >I personally had 3 ballots in 2020: 1 that I filled out in person at my New England precinct, 1 in Michigan and 1 in Georgia. I recommend that anyone with a former residence in a battle ground state snail mail a letter to that Secretary of State to demand that your name & residence be removed from their voter rolls. >I had a MI driver's license for 4 years, but I NEVER ever voted in Michigan. >I voted in GA but not in over 15+ years. >I am also personally acquainted w/a prominent person who pays taxes and raises kids in our solid blue state but she voted for Biden in Pennsylvania to defeat Trump.
I like the way you worded that. So many people say, "There's no evidence!" No, there is a mountain of evidence that has been ignored and not allowed to be seen in court due to "standing."
Most of those people are still in jail. Not true about only violent people being in jail. Being flippant about that is insulting to many innocent people still in prison.

I really like this podcast but the fact that they think the perfect democrat to run would be basically any billionaire shows how out of touch they are. Why would people want jeff bezos as president?
Jason seems to believe that bezos leftist credentials of owning the Washington post and allowing it be a leftist propaganda rag. Make him qualified to run for president on democrats side. Let him to try to even win a congressional seat see how that goes. Hilarious.
I agree it’s a no-go for hard progressive types. But I do think the Democrats could easily sell Mark Cuban as the self-immolating Billionaire that wants to bring down drug prices. All-In can’t see it because they’re bias toward SV and high finance.
I think it’s more about competency. They use wealth as proxy for determining intelligence, grit, market knowledge, ability to manage human capital. It’s an imperfect metric but better than most considering the opposite side of the billionaire hatred is life long politician hatred
Regarding the billionaire vs billionaire election idea: Bloomberg had political experience as a Republican, then tried to win the Democratic primary. That couldn't fly. Bezos or Diamond have no political experience. So that can't fly. We had four years watching Trump flail around ineffectually without understanding how things work in Washington. The skills are not necessarily transferable.
Experience matters. Biden has a A- given what he inherited. He even knows how to make money on a barrel of oil! Trump had US depressed with spending $8 teil over and above his own budget! Half before COVID. $2 trillion a YEAR unpaided for tax relief to wealthy. Remember that class LOVES inflation. They don't spend domestically and watch assets appreciate.
A President Harris has to nominate a VP who can take office “upon confirmation by a majority vote of both house and senate”. She could end up with MTG as her VP.
Ukraine did not intentionally bomb civilians on the beach. There are videos of the event and military experts explaining how the missile was shot down or had some other malfunction. The missile was aimed elsewhere, likely a military area close by.
