The #radiomaster pocket brings a lot to the table in a small form factor for a low low price. But, should it be your next radio? Lets talk about it now. Get yours today: www.radiomasterrc.com/product... www.getfpv.com/radiomaster-po...
I am 100% buying this radio soley for its size and compactness since I get a lot of time off being at different airports and want to fly my whoop without having to carry my massive tx-16s
Awesome review, Kevin! Thanks! 😃 The big belly thing is real... I'm just not sure if it's because of aging or the beer. Or perhaps something else. 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
this is definitely the best review I've seen on the pocket so far for actually useful information. Talking about gimbal feel is nice, its hard to find people who actually say these things. I'm thinking about upgrading from my t pro, because my gimbals aren't really that great, but ive got a bit more to think about. the t pro has a similar switch layout, but it has the 2 pos and momentary switches opposite to the pocket, so i have a 2 pos for arming in a 'better' spot than the pocket. apart from that, my t pro does have a 1w internal, but i dont really use it that often anyway
Its super bad ass. my only complaint is wishing it had the 5-6 mode buttons like my TX16s. Those are nice to set up for vid channels or power level among other options.
You suggested you’d use it as your travel radio. Switching from x lite to boxer took me a couple weeks to feel comfortable flying again. Muscle memory is massively important. Would you really switch between full-size and mini gimbals like that? Is the switch easier when you’ve done it a couple times or?
Hi ! Do you think the pocket radio has enough switch to fly a atomrc wing with Inav ? I like the size factor. Or should I buy a Zorro radio or Boxer ? I am currently a Rc airplane pilot on Spektrum😉. Thanks
hey stingy dont 4get to include the most important part of testing the pocket radio....behind the back testing... this should be included in all your new radio reviews haha!!! i keep a few guys upset by flyin "behind the back"......tears up they nerves! looks like a sweet lil radio by the way!
As a beginner, I've been looking at the Tx12 MK II (ELRS) for FPV drones before the new Pocket came out. Which one might be better, or can you do a comparison between it as well as the Boxer?
Same situation, I had the TX12 in my shopping cart for a while, once I saw the Pocket it was a no-brainer, just ordered it to replace my (real beginner entry and basic) T8 Lite.
Break it down for me bro. How good is 1 watt or more on elrs for long rang. All I see is videos saying you don’t need it. I have a boxer with a ranger micro module.
Dude, the 1W nano ranger module is only $40!! I still have a bunch of flysky stuff that I use but the 4 in 1 version of this radio is cheaper and the nano ranger module is also cheaper than the external 4 in 1 module so I think it makes more sense to buy the cheaper cc2500 version of this radio with the nano ranger module
"the gear you use doesn't make the pilot" I was using a betafpv LiteRadio with a malfunctioning throttle gimbal that I didn't even realize for months....and I flew like shit. lol That shit cost me a lot of time and $. Now I have a tango 2 and I fly slightly less shit. lol Get some good gear seriously you'll save yourself a lot of frustration.
those Betafpv radios keep on dropping gimbal. it turns into a switch after about an hours worth of use. My son beat one to death after changing the gimbal 3 times
@@doccock100 Mine like was intermittent, it would like throw incorrect values, especially towards maximum throttle it would bounce and never reach 100% I finally plugged into a sim one day and noticed it setting up the controller or I would have probably never been able to figure out what was going on exactly.
@@maddercat I never thought I was a gimbal snob. I flew about 300h on flight sims with my DJI V1 black controller and when I swapped to AG01's on a TX16s I knocked all my personal best times on the first attempt. From average times to some number 1 spots on 6inch DRL (not too competitive on 6inch times as it is on 7). If youve flown for a while I really would advise treating yourself.
