Hello!
In this video, I highlight the hot (and growing hotter!) tech scene in Austin, TX! I lived there for over 10 years while I was going to school, and I left after I got my graduate degree. I explain why I chose to move away, and I also talk about everything I love about the city and why companies and their employees are moving there.

Austin’s status as a hot market isn’t a passing trend. They’re in their infancy still, and the ML jobs you’re after will grow in prominence there. The tax benefits for corporations (and generous liability protections in Texas tort law) will continue to bring more and more tech companies. It’s a land of opportunity and possibility.

05:03 yes, I've also heard that there are lots of HW jobs openings in Austin! Great video and beautiful b-rolls! From my point of view one of the main benefits of SF area is ocean... living close to ocean is awesome. It is so calming by its nature

Hi Dr. Pan! It was nice hearing about your experiences even though Texas isn't for me. If you feel comfortable answering, what city or area did you end up moving to? Also, Why did you choose EE over CS? It seems like you're more interested in the software side. Sorry if you have already answered these questions and as usual this is a great video!

I work in waxahachie texas and I visited my friends living in frisco and Plano texas. My friends worked for Toyota in Torrance which has been moved to Frisco texas. I remember three friends houses huge compared to Torrance California. They like it, but feel like living in country club neighborhoods. Well, I still live in Downey California. Surfing everyday.

Amazon's largest office is in the world (outside is) is in Hyderabad . Microsoft 2nd largest software development center is in Hyderabad too . There are much intresting thing over here in india

Interesting point of view. It makes sense that you would leave. Sounds like you went to the Bay Area? Austin is a pleasant town, but sometimes I think it is overrated. Moving to a new area can be exciting and give one a sense of a new beginning and new possibilities. Good luck in your new job and new location.

Try Phoenix, Arizona. Many people from the Bay Area are moving to Phoenix.

I live in Kampala Uganda. THere is nothiing here. I want to come to Bay Area United States so I'm job hunting. Couldn't land a single offer yet but still pushing hard.

Then can you please make a video on banglore's,delhi's and Hyderabad's ( india ) tech scene . Even chennai can be considered . India is adding unicorns like mad. Just check it out. It's a request 🙏

You could have said the reason in one sentence, e.g. there aren’t that many job opportunities for ML, and it’s not even specific to Austin. Feeling that my time was wasted. :(
