My first belt for any knife that is either badly damaged or first time in the shop hits a red label abrasives 120 ceramic, then I use a x65(220) from work sharp, x22(1000)from work sharp, then x4 (3000) also work sharp, finally a 7000 from red label. Over time I am completely switching to red label abrasives mostly due to I order all my 2x72 belts from them and like a one stop shop plus they are a local Michigan co
