Please do more videos like this for other figures! You go into so much more detail than other RU-vidrs with your safety tips at the start. As a new collector who isn’t super confident yet with my figures I find advice and tips like you give extremely beneficial for me so as to not damage my figures! Thanks!

Thanks so much for watching and sharing your positive feedback! I’m really glad you enjoyed this video and found it helpful especially as a newer collector. Believe me, I’d love to continue making in-depth tutorials like this if I could - helping collectors become more comfortable and confident in posing their figures was my primary motive - but for context I made this video back in mid-2020 during the early days of the pandemic when we were all locked down/quarantined for a few months so I had plenty of free time to devote towards filming/editing these lengthy videos. However since I returned to work in early 2021 (almost a year ago), I haven’t had nearly as much free time anymore 😢😭 I really do appreciate you sharing your feedback though - it means a lot to me knowing that my videos still continue to help fellow collectors like yourself. Thanks again, and welcome to the hobby! 😁🙌

Thanks so much for watching and for sharing your positive feedback! Congrats on your Thanos figure, he's a beast of a figure so you're gonna love it. And don't worry about the wobbly body when ya get him, the abdomen has a spring inside so it's normal for him to move like a bobble-head 😅

Aw thanks so much! I’m really glad you enjoy this video. Heads up the suit on Endgame is a bit more restrictive compared to the Civil War Cap that I used in this video. The pants are especially tight so you might have trouble bending his legs or knees, but simply pulling up his pants can allow for better articulation around the thighs/knees since it’ll provide more space inside the pants for those joints to move around more. Hope that helps and happy posing!

Crazy good poses, man. As someone who is new to the Hot Toys scene, I have a question though: would you recommend putting any of these poses into use longterm? I know some folks are diehard museum pose only people, but it seems like a handful of these would be perfectly fine.
@PosingwithPeter
@PosingwithPeter 3 года назад
Ayyy welcome to the Hot Toys community! Yeah, many collectors prefer to keep their figures in safe museum poses in order to best preserve the condition of the figure (usually to retain potential resale value later on). However I rarely sell my figures and much prefer leaving them in dynamic poses since it's way more enjoyable each time I glance at or walk past the collection. Ultimately it'll come down to personal preference though. While most of these poses are relatively safe, I'd say the more aggressive ones can cause wrinkles and creases in the flaps at the waist or at the forearms if bent too aggressively. Hope that helps, and thanks again for your support!

14:03 can you make a tutorial video on how to use heat gun or specifically hair dryer on these areas? I've been googling and searching ways to hair dry but unluckily hadn't got any.
@PosingwithPeter
@PosingwithPeter 2 года назад
Hey there! As it happens I personally don’t own a hair dryer nor heat gun so I wouldn’t be able to provide a tutorial on that 😅 Based on what I’ve heard from fellow collectors, it helps to set the hair dryer or heat gun on low and casually blow the warm air onto the soft rubber area for several seconds so it becomes more malleable - same goes for loosening up the wrist pegs or weapon wielding hands. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

I just sold my thanos because I couldn’t pose him very well because I kinda suck lol I miss it now lol I had the battle damaged one
@PosingwithPeter
@PosingwithPeter Год назад
Ah bummer, try not to be too hard on yourself - Thanos is not the easiest character/figure to pose since he’s kinda bulky and only has single-jointed arms & legs so it can be understandably frustrating when trying to pose/display him. If you’re eager to buy him back into your collection, I think the Australia retailer “popcultcha” website is still selling Armored Thanos for about $250 USD and Battle Damaged Thanos for around $280 USD.

Hey I saw a neat throne chair for this figure and was wondering if he can be posed sitting? Does that cause dmg?
@PosingwithPeter
@PosingwithPeter 2 года назад
Hey there! I saw that you asked the same question on this video and on my other video for Infinity War Thanos, so I’ll just answer here: Both versions of Thanos can sit, however the Infinity War version is less likely to sustain damage since his pants are soft fabric. Meanwhile Armored Thanos has rubber flaps at the hips, so a sitting pose will likely bend or crease that part of his outfit. Both versions of the figure look a bit silly while sitting though because his legs are so bulky, it’s almost like he’s squatting over a toilet 😂

Great poses! - how did you lower the glass panels in the cabinet to make room for Thanos? Currently in this dilemma myself🤦
@PosingwithPeter
@PosingwithPeter 3 года назад
Thanks so much! Love your username ☺️ I lowered the glass panels of my cabinet by using "wire rope clips" size 3/16th inch. You can buy them at your local hardware store for cheap, usually a dollar or less each... and you'll need to attach 4 to the 4 metal poles / frame of the cabinet to hold the shelf up. There are also other solutions on eBay/Amazon that provide more surface area but I went with the wire rope clips since they were really cheap and easy to pick up same day. I do have a video tutorial on the process here (the shelf adjustment portion is around 4 min 34 seconds): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-av24px8nD6w.html Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

Is there a way to place him in the detolf without buying a custom shelf?
@PosingwithPeter
@PosingwithPeter 3 года назад
Yeah I've seen some people keep Thanos hunched over or fully sitting in a standard defolf shelf. In case ya didn't know, the "custom shelf" that I have is actually the same glass shelf that's included, I just lowered the height by quickly attaching 4 small brackets to the metal frame to support the weight of the shelf at a lower height. The clips are sometimes less than a dollar each and it's a very quick & easy modification: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-av24px8nD6w.html

Hey there! Sorry for the delayed reply, I'm still getting the hang of running a YT channel 😅 Yeah, Justin and I collaborated together on his channel and he helped motivate me to start my own channel so that my content could have a dedicated page/home-base for fellow collectors to come and enjoy rather than being tucked away in a playlist on his channel, so I reuploaded all my videos here 👍
