I'm not generally a fan of battle damaged figures - I went for the undamaged version - but this looks fantastic. That new head sculpt is gorgeous and the weathering does look good. The only way this figure could have been improved was if they'd included a smiling head sculpt.
I love the reviews Ryan but I swear you don't fully understand how much paint apps are actually here lol. No hate obviously, but this thing is absolutely LOADED with so many paint layers and washes/techniques to bring out all these details. The gauntlet alone looks like an enormous amount of paint layering and washes, it's subtle and meant to look completely blended into the mold to accentuate the pieces. Even the base, at a glance I'm seeing tons of browns, grey's, blacks and purple tones throughout. Love the reviews, but I feel you're not giving enough credit to the masterful paint jobs the team does on these. I'm sure if you saw just the bare molded piece with the base color alone you'd be able to really appreciate it more. Keep up the awesome content! Finding your channel has actually gotten me into Hot Toys for the first time ever this year 👍🏼
I think this is slightly a superior version compared to the clean one. And definitely better for posing with other figures and more screen accurate with its nano gauntlet. But since I can only buy one, I’d stick to the clean one. Better for museum pose and looks better on its own IMO and price is much more affordable now. The Infinity gauntlet is great too although not movie accurate. Both are awesome btw and it’s up to individual preference
Honestly I think having both versions is a good idea bc it shows 2 different stories. The clean version represents him preparing & defeating The Avengers. The battle damage version represents him eventually losing to The Avengers. Plus I think swapping accessories would be nice bc I'd rather personally have damaged Thanos with his sword not broken if in a pose fighting someone. But that sitting pose with the broken sword looks really good & works in that scenario better than a broken sword when fighting someone.
Great vid Ryan. I have EG Thanos looking at me on my desk. I got him so that EG Cap wouldn't be lonely 🤣 He's still M.I.A.😲 At this rate, EG Ironman an Thor will arrive before him. I cant justify having two, just for the sculpt an gauntlet no matter how cool. The only way i got him to hold the blade high was to wedge the handle between the first two fingers of the "Grasping hand" an fake it lol.
Can't choose a best Thanos, they're all fantastic and have their place for collectors / collections! Yay to you for finally having him sitting down with that dismayed expression. I haven't seen him that way in any preview/review videos, so far, until now (that's how I have mine)!

i would pose him with the battle damaged tony stark with the snapping non-stoned hand look down at tony's hand with his hand having the stones and his not having any with the shocked head sculpt
Both Thanos’ are great for their own reasons depending on how you want to display them. I prefer the “alpha” (clean armor) Thanos over a “defeated” (damaged) Thanos, as he looks way more menacing in his prime, BUT to those scene-specific collectors, battle damaged Thanos looks great. Nice review, man.
Obviously, I don't have the money to buy Hot Toys figures, especially considering the fact that for me, ever since I started collecting them in 2019, Marvel Legends figures are my Hot Toys figures. And they can be just as detailed as the Hot Toys figures. *BTW the battle-damaged Thanos from the Infinity Saga line along with the Mark 85 is high on my list of Legends sets to get.
They should add some battle damages to hand parts too. They look unharmed, which is a bit odd when you see the rest I believe. I have the first version, and will stick with it.
I have the clean version and I prefer that, because it comes with the bemused portrait and there are enough battle scars there too,shame it doesn't have the nano gauntlet but I have posed him with cap and he is much cheaper in secondary market,so get both Ryan you can do it
I spent almost 2 month contemplating which Thanos I should get: battle damaged or clean… I finally decided to just get both. Clean version should be delivered to me late next week.

Really cool figure. Great review as usual! Just don’t know if I can or will purchase this at the moment. I still like my non battle damage version cause it resembles the comic
I held out for this one too. Didn’t order end game but ive got iw thanos and he isn’t going anywhere. Gotta wait for sideshow to deliver though on bd thanos🤷♂️
So is it worth it if you already have the 1st release? Not feeling this one the dents and dings in this release just don’t have a good sense of what they are suppose to be if that makes any sense.
I know the price point is very different, but I went with the 1/4 scale queen studios because I knew this figure couldn’t capture what Thanos was at the end of endgame
Kinda bothers me that they didn't light up the glove properly after all the artistry, and hard work. Like 98 percent there. That glove is gonna start my ocd. Lol.
After watching this I immediately went to check prices on this figure. Nearly hit the order button several times but self control prevailed. Great figure, great review, but still no Marvel for this guy.
I love my clean version. Only reason I’d buy this is for the red gauntlet. That’s be pretty stupid lol I do love the oh shit I lost face too though but he’s such a big figure I’ll stick to just the one version. 🤙🏼

I already had the clean version and I just went on eBay and bought the new portrait from the battle damaged version. Epic figure and awesome video thanks for posting
