I wasn't collecting when the DX09 came out but i nearly bought it a few times before they announced this figure I've never seen the DX09 in the flesh either so can't comment as to wether it is better or not The only thing i don't like is the cape but I'm going to take the wires out and see how it looks 😬
2.0 is better than the DX09. The 09 is low definition in comparison. The stock cape on the 09 is unusable. And the panel on his head. The 2.0 isn’t perfect, but it’s definitely an upgrade over the DX.
I am also thinking of getting this figure ever since I knew of the existence of Hot Toys years ago. Missed the first issue (which isn't that big of a deal to me) and this 2.0 is indeed a great opportunity to get it. My only problem is I do not have lots of space to spare where I come from and my 3 Hot Toys Captain Americas currently occupied the spot that I could spare for this new figure. Moreover Hot Toys just recently announced the Batman Returns 2.0 which really my definitive Batman so now I am torn. That aside, in my opinion like to suggest that you may like to place the Batmobile on the left with the front facing your right (45 degrees angle), with Alfred standing just next to it. As for Batman, place it directly behind the Batmobile with the diorama. In my mind i thought it may look much better.
@@megaredkentadate9834 I think if returns is your definitive Batman you should go for that one. For me it’s 1989 and I love that base! Thanks for the display idea. I have the batmobile pointing towards my desk so I can see it head on from there but I’m always willing to change it up!
I’m putting the DX09 on the diorama. I bought it for the diorama. I don’t know how these things work, but why didn’t thry just use the same head from the DX09 since it was already a better likeness?
The figure overall is pretty good. I think the neutral faceplate is better than has been presented in some videos, and that diorama is great. Cape is definitely trash, though, and there's really no excuse to not fix the color of the belt as it was yellow on the DX09 as well and something they should have been aware of. That custom Michael Gough Alfred is awesome. I wish HT would do a two pack of Bruce in jeans and a turtleneck with Alfred and the vault the batsuit and gadgets are in.
And I’m gonna be honest straight up after seeing multiple videos online with the suit and I get it it’s not movie accurate that’s 100% right but I’m gonna be perfectly honest when I view this from a couple feet away you literally cannot even notice any texture on the suit you literally have to be up on this thing staring at it from like 6 inches away to view that texture it looks a lot worse on videos sitting in my room when I’m just staring at it from even 2 feet away you cannot notice it all you see is essentially is black.
valid but lets be reasonable, shouldn't have to be viewed that far away to not notice the texture. The figure was nearly 300 bucks and hot toys fumbled this quality wise. I saw it in person when my friend got his and he was very disappointed, I cancelled mine and pre ordering the batman returns 2.0.
Yeah, very disappointed in this figure. The only thing they improved is the cowl. The 1.0's cowl looked decent enough but when you put it side to side with the 2.0 you can see that it was too angular. That overly textured suit is more baffling than anything the Riddler could come up with. The neutral faceplate is average. The smiling faceplate is better but not great. The last face plate looks more like Val Kilmer. The eyes look off too. The cape is fine for posing but they should've included a drape cape as well. I think I'm going to end up canceling it. I don't have DX09 so although it's better than nothing, I also don't want to reward such shoddy work. Sure, I could buy a third-party cape and faceplates, but I shouldn't have to do that with a $345 figure or any figure for that matter. Besides, I have a feeling either Inart or Jazzinc is going to do their own version.
Looks great and it really pops, can’t wait for mine, (Alfred is waiting )I have a Lab Toys drape cape waiting, it arrived today🙌. So just the figure to arrive. How tall is the diorama base with the gargoyle? Good video👍
Nice review buddy Keaton is the goat and I think he looks great. Mine should be here next week and I can’t wait to see it in person. Just wish he could pose a little better
Hot Toys really crapped the bed on this figure. The likeness looks nothing like Michael Keaton. It's not just the faceplate, it's the eyes too. Also, the avocado textured suit is not at all accurate. It looks like they are going with a brighter yellow color for the belt for some unknown reason too. I have no idea what reference material they were looking at when they created this figure. No excuse for this.
