Snake and Mongoo$e were always my favorites growing up, theose dragsters in good condition are selling for big bucks. I've got a couple to restore some day too, nice job George! 👍👍😁
Looking forward to seeing all of your snake and Mongoose Restorations, these two are a thing of beauty. You are one badass son-of-a-gun when it comes to restoring a Hot Wheels car.
Thanks Jim. Drag racing in the 70s definitely had alot more style than it does today with all the big corporate sponsorship .those racers were tough and legendary
Snake and Mongoose were my favourite racers, along with Big Daddy Don Garlits. Here in Australia we could only follow these guys on Wide World of Sports on Saturday afternoons. I was acting as a general gopher, as a kid, in Jimmy Read's pit crew at Castlereagh Drag Strip when he was in a demo race with Don Garlits during his tour down under with swamp rat 18, and was fortunate enough to have a bit of a chat with him. That's one of the real high.ights of my youth. I was about 16 at the time. Great build, George, can't wait for the rest of the set! Cheers, mate.
Wow! Thats awesome you got to meet the legend himself! I was fortunate enough to go to Don Garlits museum in Ocala Florida in 1995. Didn't get to meet him ,but got to see some legendary cars. I spent a large part of my 20s racing street class at the Now closed Historic 75-80 Dragway in Monrovia Maryland in my 74,and 79 Trans Ams.
@@hodgeshotwheelsanddiecast5192 I did some 1/4 mile club racing in my 76 SLR 5000 Torana, in my youth. Life experiences I'd never ever miss out on. I miss that old beast. Had the 302 out to 400hp, without touching the bore.
Awesome builds. So glad to hear you are doing Snake & Mongoose. I love them but only have the transporter sets and gassers i converter to them. Gimme a shout if you want those decals. Its not just your builds we missed. Its the man behind the camera
Hey Juan, thanks so much! I just got to see Priest two weeks ago right outside Washington DC. WOW ! What a spectacular concert! Rob still got it! Unfortunately Glenn Tipton didn't come out for the encore. Two nights before in Philadelphia Pennsylvania he did come out. Regardless a great concert!
Uncle Pauly over at Diecast Graveyard and Johnny V's custom shop did a Spectacular build of the green van It would be hard for me to perfect on either of their builds. But id like to give it a try eventually
