Hot Wheels, Matchbox, and other diecast brands have been a large part of my life since i was a child, Started collecting up all the cars i destroyed as a child going to flea markets in the early 90s until it got too damn expensive to buy near mint examples. With restorations and customizations, i can have the collection i always dreamed of ,and they look better than new in my showcases. I truly do this for my own passion to make the coolest, and best diecast i i possibly can, and im ecstatic to have people who enjoy my journey.. Im also a Muscle car owner, and grew up in the whole drag/street racing, car culture scene for 30 years before the Fast and the Furious movies came out and ruined everything. I also am a Honda ATC rider, racer, builder, and collector. If you want to donate diecast i accept anything pre 1980. Especially Hot Wheels Redlines, Pre superfast, Matchbox and King Size. Send to: Hodge's Hot Wheels and Diecast, 10030 Gas House Pike. Frederick, Maryland. 21701.
Great job on her...!!! In my humble opinion though, not many of my original cars had deep dish wheels, and most of the ones that did only had them on the front... I feel non-deep dish replacement redlines look more correct... However, you’re the customizer, so it’s totally your choice. The paint looks like it’s over chrome, like a mirror...she shore is “purdy...” Can’t believe how great it turned out after what you started with..!!! 👍👍
AWE-MAZING...!!! Excellent work... it sure looks like an ORIGINAL REDLINE..!!! That chrome wash really makes it look more realistic..!!! I’d buy one if I saw it on the pegs..!!! I think you’re on to something... like a regular feature of yours... “Shoulda Beens.. ..”
The scalpers on eBay I have been fighting with tooth and nail to get some custom chargers. I got a mint condition never played with charger in gold. Also just scored a red one off eBay for 50% what the seller was asking because it was sitting for a long time. I really want to restore one and your video is giving me great pointers. Beautiful car man it's my favourite casting. And I could not agree anymore for as much as I love the general lee these chargers are way to special to wear an 01 on the door. That paint is GORGEOUS!
Growing up as a kid ,I would say the interceptor. But now that I'm older I would love to have a regular XA,XB,or XC. But at 100k up to own one now. That will never happen...
LOL, I was four years old when I first saw this show in 1979. Then saw it when it re-aired in 1996 on TNN or TCM cable channel. At age 21, I was just as mesmerized by how much a GODDESS Catherine Bach was in that show as much as the General Lee...LOL
Ever see that Meego General Lee? Its proportions are more like a Challenger than a Charger, probably changed just enough to avoid paying Chrysler a liscencing fee....
Some of the early ERTL Smokey and the Bandit Trans Ams had the 1975/1976 front ends, not the new 1977 ones. They kept them mostly black, no gold trimming probably so adult collectors would not notice. LOL
ERTL was really cheaply made compared to MatchBox and Hot Wheels, how the HELL were they getting all the TV and Movie diecast contracts? Then I found a 1989 Batman Batmobile in the lunchroom at highschool, I just started ninth grade that school year 1989-1990. That movie was so big and sold like 900 million dollars in merchandise. Played with that for years. LOL Could not believe it was an ERTL....
Whoa! A Coyote X diecast car??? BAD ASS! Hunter is that 80s show I don't like at all. Awesome theme, and The Daytona Turbo Z is surprisingly nimble in the chase scenes, then they stopped using it for chases. I just watched the first season chase scenes on RU-vid.
Just make the plot better when you re-create the Cannon Ball Run movies. Its like they just bought a bunch of cars and tried to ad-lib a plot.... the only funny jokes were the Trans Am has been done one and Sinatra in a 1984 Dodge Daytona Turbo Z....LOL
Why didnt they ever make a model of Hutchs car. Was it a 70s Crown Imperial, or a Ford Galaxy? Somebody shouls have released a Starsky And Hutch model vehicle "Twin Pack", of course, including what was called 'The Original Dave Hutchinson" It WOULD sell a million units or more, surely...😂
Hey thanks for watching my old videos! I made those myself. I got the idea from the legendary Honda Racer Dean Sundahl's 83 250r .don't know if they actually did anything, but they sure look cool
