Hotel Review - TownePlace Suites San Antonio Downtown

Mixed feelings on this one. Despite being assigned probably the goofiest room in the entire hotel (in the basement right next to the breakfast room), I actually liked my room a lot on the surface. Nice practical layout and attractive furnishings. But you shouldn't find garbage from the previous guest or basic maintenance issues at a hotel of this caliber. The issues weren't too serious, but I'd still be cautious recommending this place based on my experience. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below.

I stayed at a towneplace suites in Houston before, it was my best marriott experience to date. Room felt like a cool studio apartment, with a urbane modern style. So far it's my favorite marriott brand. I'm hoping Springhill Suites will deliver a similarly good experience.

I was is san antonio this passed weekend. We would drive by this hotel when going places and my sister pointed out that her and my other sister stayed at this hotel for a dance competition. All and all they said this place was nice and well kept. Maybe looking to stay here next we are in san antonio!!!!

Very nice property, but little things add up after a while. Shower head, spoon and orange peel were not acceptable; looks like they need to take a little more time to inspect these rooms before selling. Great video as always, hope all is well!

The building was renovated into a TownePlace around 2010, but the decor hasn't ever changed.

uhhh, that would be 2 dirty spoons, LOL... the spoon the dirty one was laying on would be unclean a well. Great review, but I don't think I'd give it as good of a passing grade as you did. Well done!

Hilton has those pullout desks that roll around in their Home2Suites, and perhaps some of their other lines. I know I've seen that a few times now.

I've stayed at a tru, 2 Homewood, and 3 home2 suites. I've only seen it at home2 suites, which makes sense since home2 suites is a direct competitor of TownePlace suites and Candlewood suites, so it makes sense they both have that

I would have asked for another room, I think it would have been not my first choice of room to be right by the ambient noise of the breakfast room.

Minus the dirty spoon and orange peel - not a bad room. Assuming that wall between the room and the breakfast room is thick enough to mask the sounds.

If you're in San Antonio Texas again, I'd reccomend the Saint Anthony hotel. My friend and I stayed there once and we really enjoyed our stay

Ok. For the most part, not a bad room. Bed looks great, kitchen, while small, is good (save for that dirty spoon) and the living area is nice. Shower in the bathroom needs a lot of work, but the water pressure seems decent enough. It would barely (emphasis on BARELY) pass for me.

When you went into the bathroom, it sounded like your shoes were sticking to the tile a LOT. Was that just the sound or is the floor sticky??

That Shower is disgusting. The tile and the shower head are completely disgusting. This hotel is a pass.
