Hi Chef, I tried this recipe today and it turned out to be the best tasting sambar I’ve ever made.I’m not going to buy any readymade masalas from now on. I made it a day in advance and stored it in the fridge so as to cut down on the prep time.. the next day when I opened the jar it smelled just like authentic sambar masala and I knew it was going to come out delicious and that’s what happened.. me and my husband enjoyed it so much it definitely tasted much much better than hotel sambar Thank you so much ! Looking forward to your next recipe !!
Thank you for the best sambhar receipie , I've tried almost all receipies on you tube but this one worked wonders, it's even better than restaurants. Thank you chef and best wishes
Tried it today, turned out superb. If you follow the exact proportion and quantity asked by the chef, you will end up preparing the most accurate and tasty sambar. Chef, have one question, do we have to remove the seeds of the kashmiri mirchi before tossing up in the pan? Because the sambar I prepared today was extremely flavourful but was little bit on the spicier side. Please suggest.

I didn't have drumsticks, so made this without it. Didn't add the tadka too. Yet it tasted good, almost like the udipi restaurants in Mumbai-Pune. Just like you said it would. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.
