(October 2023) If it hadn't been for the DISGUSTING bed this hotel would have been amazing. The staff here was awesome. Specifically the 3rd shift night clerk. He had a towel and bottled water waiting for me each night as I came back from my run. The event staff here were awesome as my partners employer was hosting an event here. Everything about this hotel was fantastic. EXCEPT for the bed which was absolutely disgusting. It had a huge sweat stain (confirmed by smelling it). I find it shocking how the nastiest beds I find are in the nicer hotels.

They would’ve cleaned that mattress. Better yet, they would’ve replaced the old mattress and put a new one in. Why would they want to kept all the old mattress on every hotel rooms? Come on, Marriott. You can do better.

I will say the bed was dirty, but the light fixture in the bathroom reminds me of the one in the Hampton in down in Carbondale, Illinois. Nice video though.😂😂😂

When will you post videos of the elevator and hotel tour at the Marriott Renaissance Center Detroit? The design is kind of like the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Atlanta, except it has no antenna. John Portman designed both hotels!

I stay in a mixture of deluxe and cheap hotels (Four Seasons down to Motel 6). I have to be honest; most of the time, the lower-end hotels have better office chairs. I feel like because the upscale hotels want to be "stylish," most comfortable office chairs aren't stylish, I guess.

I’ve stayed at many Marriott hotels and I’ve never saw a mattress that was super disgusting. However the Richmond Marriott had a nice fitness center.

I actually stayed there on the way to the Outer Banks when I was a kid. It was very nice. Shame about the bed, nasty. Also there was a pool when I stayed there. No idea why it was removed.

@@DieselDucyyeah they should clean it, but the most disgusting mattress I found in hotel was in Hotel Merkur in Miercurea-Ciuc,Romania, it was so disgusting I mean it lots of hairs and stuff so we changed to another hotel room and it’s cleaner.

Did you tell the staff about the nasty sweat stain on the bed? If you did, they would have done one of 2 things 1. switch your room to another room. 2. Change out the mattress. They would have done this no matter what if there was a complaint

The only thing I hate about this hotel is the bed. It looks disgusting and disrespectful to the guests that are visiting this place. It is full of coffee stains and there was no swimming pool in this hotel. The things that I know and love love is my favorite is the elevators, escalators, lights, the lobby and the building itself but the only complaint I have for that place is disgusting bed and no swimming pool otherwise that hotel itself is beautiful and spacious

#shameonyoumarriott for this hotels best bed mattress and mattress cover is the best in terms of hygiene that’s why I always told my Father instead of taking me somewhere on summer holidays take me to swimming every day and spend that money on food daily for 30-45 days. I love this mattress as it taught me a very big lesson about how these 1 star hotel trick us by claiming 5 star. It’s better to stay in India’s OYO or bloom which are opened in houses. Very bad Marriott for franchising these hotels.

That Was Not Acceptable, These Are Dirty Beds For The Hotel Tours. This Is The Worst Hotel Tour Ever By Dieselducy & Mattress Are Gross. Marriott Hotel In Richmond, Virginia Is Not Good For The Beds. @@DieselDucy True. Back in 2006 stayed at a Marriott, which had 10 floors, and it had an open atrium with glass elevators by Northwestern/Dover. I almost stayed there again in December of 2019, but the pool was out of service that weekend (it was the Saturday before Christmas) I was a little bit disappointed because I wasn't told that when I made my reservation about three months ago. So I was refunded my money and went to a Holiday Inn, which was just a few blocks away. I was able to have a room, but I was going to have a bathroom that was assessible for people in wheelchairs, I told the desk clerk that was not a problem since the bathtubs are longer then a standard bathtub, and I am disabled since I do have slight difficulties walking. and of course the bathroom was bigger to have more room in it. I did film that bathroom and showed the toilet and bathtub.
