Hey! Thanks! But a rope around a beace of your chair and put the end around your handwrist. Then put your chair out and hang the end of the rope somewhere you can grab it to give it a tog to roll the chair in again! That's what l do whenever l'm with friends or in a hotel. Helps, really! Be blessed!
ConnyNordlicht great idea! I’ll have to try that out! I will wheel it as far away as possible where I can still reach it, but yeah I like the rope/string idea! 🙌🏼
@@JackInAction Hey Jack, how are you doing my friend? Hope you’re doing well Jack! But a rope around a brace of your chair and put the end around your hand wrist. Then put your chair out and hang the end of the rope somewhere you can grab it to give it a tog to roll the chair in again. Take care Jack! Best friends as always from PaulLaw.
With the concerns of the corona virus sweeping the world, I’m surprised that they are still holding the National Wheelchair Tournament. Were there any discussions of postponement? Secondly, I wondered how wheelchair users deal with keeping their hands clean. When your rolling around your hands are constantly palming the bottom of your tires picking up all sorts of nasty stuff off the ground or public restroom floors...in a word, gross! Then your hands are touching you, what you eat, surfaces you need to use for transfer, etc. What do you do and do you routinely clean your tires or do you have ‘outdoor’ wheels that you switch to ‘indoor’ wheels when you enter the house to keep the house clean like an able bodied person would remove their shoes? Good luck your tournament by the way.
Nostra Domas we ended the tournament a few days earlier than planned. We also couldn’t shake hands or give high fives. Lots of sanitary wipes around, too. I keep my same wheels on! I know some people will change wheels or wheelchairs if it’s snowy or muddy out. Great question!
Westheim no it wasn’t. Since it was at the National wheelchair basketball tournament, it’s harder to find accessible rooms since others need them, too. More up to date hotels are fairly accessible without being “accessible”
Dale Evers I didn’t ask for one, but I’m sure they may have had one. I prefer just sitting in the tub unless I can wheel up to the tub and transfer to a shower chair. Either way works for me 👍🏼 good observation!
@@JackInAction Hi Jack, how are you doing my friend? You have a very good observation to transfer your wheelchair or your shower tub or transfer to the shower chair. Either way it works. Why not give it a try? Kind regards, from, PaulLaw.
