i could be wrong, maybe it is bugged on consoles, but ko'ing them with a melee weapon while they're knocked down gives you 3x, and if you're unarmed it gives 2x

You have to go into rage mode there's no other option

It was bugged on the og release on PC so that you can only kill him in rage mode. As far as I can tell, it's still bugged on the console release, which is really frustrating.
