Favorite track in the game. Sounds like a guy losing his mind. Perfect for the protag. Perfect for killing people. Amazing level, too, love the mini boss battle.
@@КириллЛеонтьев-р8ж no. i murdered every single person. punched the guy with the bat, beat him to death, stole his bat, killed the person with the AK and stole that after i murdered the person with the knife, and then killed the rest of them.
I feel like a lot of people here are kind of missing the point of HM2 -- and more specifically the Writer's story. HM2 wasn't just a great sequel to an amazing game, it was a commentary on how people twist horrific events to fit their own narrative and miss the real reasons behind them. Everyone in the sequel story of HM2 is twisting or reacting to the events of HM1 in some way: The Pig Butcher sees the glorification of the killings in the form of a movie as an outlet for his darkest impulses, misunderstanding that Jacket's motivation was not destruction but to avenge his dead friend and the Girlfriend; the Fans all want to continue massacring Russians like Jacket did, but they're just hollow imitators without motivation or direction; Pardo, a cop, only knows that Jacket is famous and decides to imitate him by recreating what he saw investigating the scenes of HM1: bloody. grotesque murder, but ultimately his attempts get more and more desparate in an attempt to compete with Jacket's publicity; The Henchman knows his time is up and wants out, tired of the bloodshed and afraid of dying to someone like Jacket, but he, like the Fans, has no direction or objective other than to get away from the mafia, which ultimately just leads him back to it; Lastly, Evan Wright, the Writer, is one of the only characters in the game who sees a glimpse of what's behind Jacket's mass murder spree, and tries to understand it. Evan even met Jacket in Hawaii, suggesting that perhaps figuring out why Jacket would do this has not just a financial motivation but also a personal one. Evan cares so much about solving the mystery of 50 Blessings, cares so much about writing this book, that he would fight through a subway station full of gangsters hell-bent on killing anyone nearby. All the while, he is struggling to keep his family life and finances together, and with the weight of the world packed onto Evan's shoulders, it's not very hard for him to give into his violent impulses. Evan truly wanted to know *why*, maybe because in Jacket he recognized how they both were men who had been teetering over the edge for a long time.
BUT YOU ARE IN A CONSTANT BLOODTHRISTY RAGE. (In a more serious note, please tell me Angry Jacket is a meme and where can i find a profile pic of Angry Jacket?)
I'm a year late to this, but he still murdered someone in the beginning of a level. Accidental murder is still murder. He's the closest we're going to get to 'innocent', though. Edit: Okay, okay. Manslaughter. Sorry. I got it after the 50th time someone replied to me about it.
Samuc 06 That's true, but he was just doing his job. He even expresses how he hates having to kill people. You don't really have much of a choice when you're in war.
Wow, you described it perfectly. I never played any of hotline miami games, just watched the playthrough and video analysis of them but something about them just clicks and affected me a lot
I don't get the reason why most comments says the intro suck. I frickin love it, it got the vibe with the synth mixing with the drums. Creating a damn good harmonic resonants between both sounds and it is just mesmerising.
I'm really sad, that iamthekidyouknowwhatimean was just a project and we will never ever hear more of this. Run is stuck in my head ever since. It somehow gives my mind peace. It perfectly resembles a twisted mind going crazy and in the same time finding salvation in it... a masterpiece!
Look it up. Iamthekidyouknowwhatimean was a project group from Sweden of different artists. They did a collaboration and released a couple of songs under this name. But it was a one time project and iamthekidyouknowwhatimean will never return as a real artist group. The song was used in Hotline Miami and that is where I know it from. But after some search I figured we will not hear anything like that from that artist group ever again
I think that the vocalization in this song is pointing out at the barier between Evan's sanity and the point of him breaking down and going on a spree.
The beginning is awesome, it sounds just like how I imagine someone deep in the throes of psychosis giving into their anger and going on a rampage would sound like.
The intro of the song is my favourite part because if you actually follow the storyline, everything after the fans death is a twisted confusing and depressing shitfest and this song really gives me that feeling till the end
Trust me bro, that's WAY worse. Normal rage is chaotic, you don't know what you are doing but you are doing it. A focused blood thirst, instead,is the desire of fucking go on a killing rampage, erasing from existence a dozen or more bad people with precision fury and madness. If you wanna be a serious threat on this world,be blood thirsty and not mad.
@@anotherchanneliguess2335 He has been shot in the head. And also if not, just remember that Son shot him in his vest and some of them penetrated it. So he died from 2 shots as HM2 health is. In Hotline Miami 1 everyone was accurate for your head just even one shot in your head may be mortal for you.
@@nukeam The Son's shot did nothing, as it hit Tony's torso, which was covered by the kevlar vest he wears. If it did, he would've died either instantly from a bullet hitting the head or bled out like Corey did (as she was shot below the shoulders as well). But he was still standing and talking with Pardo as if nothing had hit him up until Pardo shot him. That singular gunshot literally changed the entire atmosphere of the game along with Subway (this song being part of it). It completely changed my perspective of the game and gave the feeling that anyone could realistically die if the game developers wanted them to. And as we saw with Jake and Beard, that very much rung true. My point is that up until that point, Hotline Miami 2 was shaping itself to look like a success story for the Fans. In killing the Fans, the game also kills off the idea that it's gonna be a happy story for everyone. A lot more than just Tony died when Pardo shot him.
@@anotherchanneliguess2335 They penetrated his vest and also Pardo literally blew up his head as you said. I had both theories in my mind and both were true.
I remember seeing a comment once about the song sounding like an accordion playing clown with a limp and I've never been able to get that image out of my head every time I hear this.
0:00 - "Nah this sucks" 0:21 - "Oh wow, nevermind, it's kinda good!" 1:25 - "Man, this is amazing!" 2:29 - "HOLY FUCK!" 3:12 - "I AM SO SORRY FOR EVER DOUBTING YOU"
@CuckMcCuckington and what ? we are used to the fact that you make some kind of bastard out of a Russian person, what is now to complain about the game? how informal?

Every HM Quotes "Oh what do we have here? You don't know who you are?" "I don't know you. You are not guest of mine!" "You're dead meat" "Show some goddamn respect" "I was born with thick skin" "Don't worry kid, it's on the house" "What are we waiting for?" "Gotta get a grip!" "It isn't lunch time?" and the best... *leaving this world, is isn't scary, as it sounds*
Haven't played the game, but after listening to the soundtrack this was by far my favorite track. Unique and catchy. I was surprised to see that some people had previously mentioned this was the worst of the soundtrack.
Whoever mentioned this as the worst must've been smoking crack, because there were far worse tracks (none of them actually bad imo) than this. Frankly, if you ask me, this is probably the best song in the game. It's played at the perfect time right after the Fans were all killed off, and it helps establish the paranoia and anxiety that follows with the Chapter along with the message that no one is really safe from getting the axe, no matter how evil or good they are.
The entire Hotline Miami soundtrack can be divided in two big parts: Songs that are slow, sad, and are perfect when you're driving alone in your car Songs that fuel your inner violence so much that the Gods thank you for not snapping out after hearing them
Love how nobody mentioned that "Hotlain Mayami" is spelled wrong but "Dont" without apostrophe? Also Sr. Kersish you can edit your comment to fix your mistakes before a hardcore nazi grammar come. Its going to be hell.
