I'm with you on the switching modes on the unit itself! Pressing and holding buttons 5 and 6 together for 2 seconds would be a great option in future firmware updates.

Hi thank you for the video. You had the question: Can u activate two effects at the same time with one switch? and you answered: Absolutely! When it's set to preset mode you can assign any combination of pedals in the loop to switches 1-4. Could you be more specific. I just purchased and I dont know how

Can u activate two effects at the same time with one switch? Like activate tubescreamer and Avalanche Run with only one click. It's because i play in a band and i don't have time to push them seperatly.

Absolutely! When it's set to prest mode you can assign any combination of pedals in the loop to switches 1-4.

Hi James, thanks for the good video! It is possible to change the order of stomps, along with the flow of the audio signal? For example: DRIVE > COMP to COMP > DRIVE? I know that the app doesn't works with the newer versions of Android, so it is possible to program the patches via PC, using the USB port of the switcher? Thank you :)

Hey! I had to boot up my old phone to answer this, but I don't believe you can change the signal path. I mostly use it in direct mode when I'm streaming. I looked up the manual, and it says that the USB is for midi control. That makes me think its purpose is to send midi signals only.

@@JamesMMusic Ooook, thank you! I bought it a few days ago. Now I use an Android old version simulator, vmos, it works for Bluetooth editing. Yes, it's impossibile to change the signal path, but the midi implementation are really great. Thank you :)

Nice review. Are you aware that in preset mode, if you hit both bank buttons at once, it will direct to tuner? That way you wouldn’t have to sacrifice a channel. Cheers.

It doesn't do that on my cybery. Unless there was a firmware update that I am not aware of.

Nice review man! Quick question -- I just picked up one of these, but it doesn't seem to want to connect to my phone via Bluetooth...what's manual way to switch between direct and preset mode?? Thanks!

Thanks! If you want to switch modes manually you have to 1) hold switches 1 and 2 down while plugging in the power 2) use switches 1 and 2 to select which mode you want (I think 1 is direct and 2 is preset) 3) press 1 and 2 one more time to confirm your selection. This is my one complaint about the unit, but the app makes up for it. If you can't get the bluetooth connection to work, you should look into getting a replacement. The app makes your life a lot easier. Hope I was able to help!

Hi, what position does the midi connection occupy? At the beginning of the chain, at the end or can it be configured? If I want to connect a midi overdirve it must go to the beginning of the pedal chain and not to the end. If it were a midi delay, it should go to the end and not to the beginning. regards

Hey, Jose! I haven't had a chance to test out the midi functions yet. My understanding is that it only sends midi messages and it's not actually in the loop. If that's the case you could add it to one of the loops where you like. The other option would be before or after the cybery. This is my best guess.

Thanx for review! 2 questions: how noticeable pause between changing presets/turning effects on and off. And second - what about affecting sound? for example, with no effects attached to loops does clean signal comes out unaffected? Of there is some high|low freq loss?

Thanks for commenting!😎 The latency when switching is not noticeable. If there is any I couldn't tell. As for affecting the sound, I'm going to have to test it out. I didn't notice anything significant, but I also didn't try playing directly through the cybery. I'll have to get back to you on that.

@@bobritsky It seems like there is a dip in the higher frequencies with the Cybery going direct. I couldn't really tell till I recorded playing directly through it and was listening to the recordings back to back. However, the buffer puts those higher frequencies right back in.

hey man, you mentioned that your EQD and your pitchfork is on the same channel, now what if you just want to use JUST the EQD or the pitchfork? what would you do that?

If that was the case I would turn off the pedal I wasn't going to be using and treat it like there was only one pedal in the loop.

I have about 13 pedals which I use simultaneously and stack usually two at a time. My compressor, eq and noise gate are always on on top of that. Will it work with my setup?

A larger switcher would probably be more beneficial for you. There are only four loops that you can select from on the cyber. That being said, maybe check out some of the boss stuff.

Yes, that is something you can do with the app. Just make sure you have a phone that is compatible with the unit.

To use with my Mark V 35, I'd only have to connect the footswitch cable to A/B correct? and then would the input and output go into the Fx Loop? I'm interested in buying this but I'm not sure how the connections would go in.

Yep! The A/B can switch between your 2 channels and you could put the output through your fx loop. However, some pedals work better through the front of your amp.

@@HaganeYoshi Yeah, that would be the way to go. Any modulation or time-based pedals would sound best through the fx loop.

Hi,and thanks for the great vid👍 I was wondering, (this unit is officially discontinued, but I still would like to get it(i got a line on one..), 1)will I still be able to firmware update it and will it still work for Android 8.0? 2) Can the midi recall presets within a SourceAudio Collider? 3) And the issue with not being able to toggle the Cybery switch to on/off the effect, is rectified by 'manually' turning on/off the said effect itself,correct? I know yer not a rep(lol) but I'd appreciate any answers or replies,at yer earliest convenience.. Thanks for your time n consideration! Mahalo🤙🤙

Hey Toshi! Thanks for the comment and kind words! To answer your questions: 1)You can still download firmware update 1.1 from the website. 2)I don't have any midi pedals myself, but from what I've read, the device can only send a single CC value. However, there is a way to work around this using banks. 3)Yes, that is what I usually have to do with my pitchfork.

I did ask Hotone 'why' they discontinued it, and they told me it was the production cost and the sales were just not there..but it's hard to believe no other company copied or cloned the layout, cuz its perfect size n the functionality is unrivaled for what the msrp was.. Anyhow, thanks again,James n if yer ever plan on comin to Hawaii, I got yer first plate lunch🤙🤙 I'll be in touch, once I get my Cybery up n runnin..Mahalos😉👍

No, the signal is sent in the same order they are put in the chain.

Hey, I'm not too familiar with the 2120. What I can tell you is that A/B switch is a regular 1/4 in. cable. I did take a quick look at the 2120 and noticed that it uses midi. The Cybery does have midi capability, but it doesn't support continues controlling.

If you connect the a/b switch to the footswitch input on the back of the amp that should work.

@@JamesMMusic How? I have the Hotone patch kommander (similar) and can't do this. I mean that it only stores the pedals for each looper but not the channel. Really thank you for the answer

@@etking9784 I use the cybery app to make my presets. I checked the manual for the kommander and it sounds like there's some tap dancing that needs to be done. However, when you set a preset it should save your amp channel as well. Well, that's what I got from the manual. Hope that helps.

@@TheAvionet I don't believe they are in parallel. The app allows you choose which loop is assigned to the trigger, but I think they stay in series.

Hey I notice you have 8 pedals on the board - how do you go about switching them on individually with only the loops? Or would you have to “double down” on the pedals (hook 2 pedals up to the one loop)? Also, can you access tap tempo?

Hey! The vibe and the wah are not in the loop. The Pitch Fork and the Afterneath are in the same loop. I put those two together because they sound so good together and I rarely use them separately. If I do I just use them manually.
