This might sound odd but a suggestion for future restaurants with a time limit would be to include the timer in some shots. I kinda wanna know how long it takes to say, heat the pot up, make things cook, stuff like that! It's weird but if i ever plan on going I wouldn't wanna mess up and waste my time when I should be enjoying my meal, lol
I've done hotpot at home and it takes me about 60-70 minutes and that includes the prep to get the stock, chop veg etc. so 90 mins should be enough time to be able to sit and enjoy things without feeling rushed. I'd think it would take about 15mins for the broth to heat up, another 15 for some of the hardier veg (like lotus root) but thinly sliced meats take a minute and other softer veg can be swished through for you to eat while you wait 😄 (But I agree with you that having a timer to show us would still be helpful!)
@@pepre7594 i figured that as well, but i though she was doing that for people to notice her and donate her money so she can pay for her surgery. but this may all be a huge scam like you said, i’m not sure
I'm disabled and likely will never be able to travel, so I love getting to see all the restaurants and places you visit! Thank you so much for your channel, I can't wait to see where you go next. :)
I don't know where you're from, but if you'd like to try authentic hotpot, it now comes in single self-heating portions. You can look online to see if they're available where you are. Some countries might not freely import foods from China (where these are manufactured), but no harm in looking if they're available where you live. They come in a huge range of flavours although the most popular flavour is mala which is basically fire flavour and looks like a volcano. Lol.
@@arshiaamreen7853 Depends on the disability. If it’s something that severely affects the immune system, they unfortunately cannot even leave their house.
@arshiaamreen7853 It depends on a lot of factors. For example, Japan and Korea are largely inaccessible via wheel chair. Did you notice the narrow staircase to enter the dining area? And many restaurants there do not have elevators. The same is true of public transportation. Which is notorious in these countries for discrimination and harassment. Since japan does not typically use cars, being able to use public transit is a neccessity to get around. Given the high density crowds and narrow spaces Japan is known for, could you navigate in a wheel chair even to go down the street? Also, it is incredibly difficult to bring medications with you to foreign countries. Even if you get it through, disabled people are often harassed by customs and airport employees for bringing additional scrutiny. Then you have to consider what type of disability we are talking about. What if you are wheelchair bound, but also prone to seizures. Could you communicate well enough to get to a hospital while having a seizure and needing to speak a foreign language? Because many foreign countries will assume tourists are drunk or high rather than having a medical emergency. What if you also have large quantities of food allergies and eating those foods can make your medical condition worse? Could you express them to the staff in a foreign language properly? Could you identify which foods you can eat on a menu or a nutrition label? Do you know wheyher you can inject medications in public where you are? Ask yourself, how much money does visiting this place cost. Given the added stress and uncertainty, would it be worth it to go? Could you actualy enjoy yourself? Whether or not a person with disabilities can travel can not be boiled down to something as simple as whether they have a wheel chair.
@@arshiaamreen7853if you are physically disabled airplane tickets already costs more to accomdate the individual. Also this restaurant probably does not have a lift.....
7:56 The black soup broth made me instantly think of “boil boil toil and trouble” since it no joke looks like something that came out of an evil witches cauldron 😂
The one who came up with this idea is a product genius. Im stunned. It is not that complex but just creating this concept in the head is unthinkable for such a simple person like me
I love this channel !!! as a black women from the states this brings more understanding of Asian cuisine and culture. I absolutely appreciate you for bringing these different experiences that I will probably never have for some obvious reasons. Again, thank you very much for creating this channel. It’s not only educational for me. It is also a small getaway.❤
@@spicybeantofuyou don’t think black people can travel in Asia? Weird since I know multiple friends and classmates who have visited or studied abroad for months in China and Japan with minimal issues (not any worse than the United States frankly.) and they aren’t the kind of people who would be shy about sharing if they had encountered overt racism besides maybe people pointing or wanting to take pictures. And at least you’re less likely to get shot by police in an Asian country lmfao
It ends up being pricey but all the amount of work for those models and everything shaped as bear makes up for it, a lot of work is put into it after all.
definitely more expensive than non-themed hot pot places, but not by much, maybe $8-10 more. definitely not as expensive as i thought they were going to be! but with $10 i could also go and get another meal, so it is all in the perspective, lol
Omg, those desserts look so pretty! Happy to know that they tasted good, I heard that some of those pretty desserts only look good but the taste isn't nice etc (in other places I mean).
I finally got to try out a hot pot restaurant myself yesterday! It was very fun, but even though I made sure not to eat much beforehand, I still couldn't eat half of what DancingBacons eats in a visit.
I always smile so much when you post a hotpot video!!! This one was amazing and the bears were so cute!!! Thank you for posting this video, it was so nice!!! :)
it's such a clever idea to put bone broth in a mold to make cute designs! My mom makes bone broth at home and I always noticed it becomes kind of a jelly when she put it in the fridge, putting it in a mold like this makes it a little less unsettling than slapping a brick of meat jello into a pan.
I really appreciate you giving us your opinion on the flavor and telling us what that different items are. This is what makes DancingBacons so popular!
Thank you for such a great channel and an even better smile we (my wife and I) love watching your travels we are in Canberra Australia the capital city
Japanese restaurants are so freaking innovative, cute and entertaining like even fast food and snacks are just the cutest. Im so jelly i wanna goooooo😭
In the States we call that pink radish a watermelon radish. They have a more mild taste to our regular, small, red radishes. I prefer them as they are less peppery. I definitely want to check this place out when my son and I go to Japan. Do you have the address … and can you share it? Or at least the English name and town that it’s in?! As always another lovely food adventure! Thanks for taking us along. Much love ✌🏻💕😊
I've always wanted to try hotpot (I live in the US, so it's super rare) and bears are my favorite animal. I'm so so envious, this looked like so much fun!
I am captivated by this whole meal! I have never seen a meal done like this, it seems like pho which I have never had. I really wanted to try it,but when I went into restaurant I ordered the wrong thing lol. I’m always too shy to ask. I would love to try this meal one day, Japan is my daughter’s and my dream vacation. This was truly beautiful thank you for sharing your meal with us 😊.
if you live near or in a big city you could look up hotpot restaurants. there's all you can eat places so you can get a ton of meat or your fave veggies, and most have a ton of toppings to create your own dipping sauce. sooo worth going to.
Was that anime that popular in Japan? With the variety of music I heard throughout this video im inclined to say the owner of this restaurant is rather based
One of my bucket lists if I ever visit Japan! I love how their seasonal flavors are so colorful and have their own theme (I know they had a summer one with blue bear + seafood flavor and a green bear with matcha flavor 😂)
So the one bear was Mr. Vampire! That is too cool, to see a Jiang-Shi bear! The fact that it was tasty makes it even cooler. Rilakkuma type bears are still popular in Japan, I take it? I gather this was in Hokkaido, further? Nice to see a new video from you two!
Ever since I found the super Mario world video in my recommendation I've been loving binge watching these Let us not wait and cook them up 😭 rip beard in sure they yummy
