I love the way you show speed and location can you tell me how is it all in one software?

ISNT THAT FUN?! I've wanted to do this for a long time. The absolute easiest way that i've been able to find, and what you're seeing here, is an app called Telemetry Overlay from goprotelemetryextractor.com. I'm using the "sailing" preset and just deleted the gauges i didn't want. If i can find a way to animate the map, have it more zoomed in and following along, then i'll be in heaven 😅 Basically, i first run the raw gopro clips through this to put the overlay on there in a new set of clip files, then stitch the clips together like normal using my video editing app (blender). The GPS data itself came from my GoPro11 black, but it looks like the Telemetry Overlay app will let you import GPS data from other sources as well. Haven't tried that yet.

I read your comment on how you did the speed. Good for you. But, too much work for me! I don't have a Gopro. And it is too hard for me to do. I will just put a text incert in when I need to. Stay safe out there!

Great video. The gimble works very well. But, I have a lot of questions..... 1-How shallow of water can you go with the canoe? 2-Does the motor have reverse? 3-How deep was the water you was running in in the narrow area you went in? How did you get the speed on your UT screen? 4-SMILE!!!!!!

Thanks for the questions Ralph, i want to maybe speak to those in a future video for other Ozarkers. 1) Inches - as long as i'm not scraping bottom, the longtail can get some thrust from the surface. 2) No reverse. I keep a paddle and a push pole next to me to handle launching & landing. There's a rope hook in the bottom of the canoe to hold the tiller down and the prop out of the water. 3) Gosh, going through the inlet to Lake 2 i think the water is maybe 8 inches deep, with a THICK mud silt bottom. I like to make sure to stay in the middle and keep my momentum up, people get stuck there. 4) The GPS data comes off the GoPro via the Telemetry app, i love it so far! 5) I get that concentration face LOL

@rootwad hehe. That face could scare a hitman😉. Thanks for your answers. I won't be adding the speed indicator on my videos . Oh, I got a comment from Poland 🇵🇱. The internet is so cool. Our videos are seen around the world. How!!

Those engines are a nuisance. Loud obnoxious and just unnecessary. I have a gheenoe with 25 tohatsu on jack plate and can run 30 mph loaded and run in 8in of water and do it with out the obnoxious noise. I hate those things.

Thanks for the engagement! I'd politely point out: This rig is a fraction of the cost, noise, and wake of a jet boat, and allows sportsmen to access remote wetland backcountry. The jet boat can't run upstream at 6mph in 6 inches of water; they have to be on-plane.

@@rootwad I never mentioned a jet boat. It's a traditional outboard 25 tohatsu. And no, you are wrong. I can go up stream not on plane in 8in of water hints the jack plate. And guess what it's still not that expensive. Your engine is garbage and loud garbage to boot. You're welcome for the engagement.
