Great video brother ! Very well explained. Initially I wanted to go with the Diamond C but for starting out and cost, I went with the PJ and felt it was a good move. Definitely plan on getting one in the future though. As for the tarp, I throw it on top of my spare tire and strap that sucker down lol

In my experience the small button marker lights like Diamond C use will survive gravel roads much better than the 2" lights. The attention to detail on the Diamond C sets them apart, you can tell they are always looking for things to improve.

Would never want a trailer without a junction box. Rip that trailer cord out and you will then have a junction box on the DC trailer. Almost all semi trailers now have junction boxes and I have added them to all my personal trailers too. Makes a great way to take care of the future electric problem.

North stare offers ramp latches aswell with alot of similar options but the build quality is alot less.

Owning a gatormade is cheap just like big tex,pj etc. Junk..I don't own a diamond c but after looking at them with the engineered beam technology which is a 100% apple difference in hauling heavy while keeping your tgvw down, These trailers are way worth the money plus you can choose paint color and be built the way you want it. My neighbor owns a diamond c which now is 2 years old has less maintenance than all my trailers together and has seen more abuse than mine but it's still in better mechanical working shape. My gatormade 35+5 hydraulic dovetail has had fractures in the gooseneck that's had to be welded, a dexter 8000# lb hub failure, the big tex and pj are the same quality just different name. Save your money and buy a Diamond C

I did not here what suspension the Diamond Sea had. Maybe i miss that and what is the gvwr and can that be derated

My son has worked at Diamond c for about 11yrs they continuously improve their products and manufacturing process,

I have PJ Trailers dump trailers 16 ft and 14 ft and I regret the purchase. They're craftsmanship is not there whatsoever and their warranties not there when there's so many other options maybe like Lamar or Diamond C Really do a walk-around when you look at your trailer before you purchase it inspect the welds and pretend like you're washing it so you could see the details.

I didnt see anything worth 8k higher price! I cant believe u didnt get a exact weight difference!!! That is the #1 reason to buy the engineered beam diamond c!!!! If it doesn't save u 500+ lbs whats the point?!

Pj is just a big Tex with a different logo investment firm owned which equals corners cut I own a trailer mfg always support family biz !

Do you have them downgrade the GVWR to make it legal???? If it's a 16k GVWR can they derate it to 12k GVWR???

If you want to give away that pj trailer, I'll use it for what I don't know. Lol I don't run hotshot hauls. But wouldn't mind having one, but I can't justify to buy one yet.

Great video very informative, I’ve been debating between a PG and a diamond C, i’m looking to get into hot shotting, so I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind, for right now I’m gonna be non-CDL until I can get my CDL, so as a non-CDL driver what is a good length trailer to yet and what is a good weight trailer to get, so I’m not screw myself on payload, how important all the mega ramps compared to just a flat deck trailer weight wise and practicality wise. Right now I’m going to be hauling with a ram 2500 Cummins as that is the vehicle I have right now, once I get my CDL I’ll probably upgrade to a 4500 or 5500 Cummins, if you think that is a good choice of vehicles, thanks and appreciate any advice, look forward to seeing you out on the road. 🙏

Those axles on the diamond C look like hybrid 8k axle. Do they have 12 1/4 by 3 3/8 brakes? If not, it's a hybrid 8k.. I bought Gatormade over diamond C for this very reason. Lippert had a hybrid 8k which is basically a 7k axle! Dexter 8k is real deal 8k. Do your research!

My 2021 fmax 212 has had quite a few electrical issues. Trailer has 90k miles on it and run up to 19k lbs on it regularly. Also my front tool box latch broke at 60k miles. Other than that I feel safe and know my diamond c will get the job done hauling up ti 40k gross.
