Something I totally missed the first few times reading Fire & Blood that I caught in my latest re-read, is that there was actually a member of House Blount who was in charge of one of the gates in Kings Landing during the Dance of Dragons. When Rhaenerya is forced to escape Kings Landing after the storming of the Dragon Pit, he is one of the few loyal men who leave with her. He also brings a small number of loyal Gold Cloaks & is killed on the road to Duskendale when their party is ambushed by broken men.
See when i first started working on the script i had this in there, a lot of my geography knowledge come from ck3 and ck3. But i couldn't find any published text that actually says where there seat is, so i think ck devs decided to put them there. I've had to go back a check loads of old House videos just incase my ck knowledge bled in.
@@WorldOfWesteros Ck 2 has such great lore learning opportunities, it’s such a badass game. As much as I’d love to play an open world game in the likes of GTA or Red dead, Ck really is the best
the thing that bothers me about GOT/ASOIAF nobility is the lack of titles or ranks beyond king or the wardenship of one of the 7 regions of westeros ... it feels incomplete
While your right that the bannermen don't get official titles or ranks, it's very clear throughout the books that there is a well known hierarchy for each region. Redwynes are considered to be greater vassals than the Beesburys
Read somewhere GRRM regret not adding hierarchy titles. He probably avoided them in the first place to not make it sound too much like medieval Europe.
@@rainy7106yes but for readers, it would be confusing since everyone's a "lord". Even looking at the castle location on a map would not have any indicator of the rankings
