Oh my goodness! We are back in the sandbox today as I am trying to learn as many of the sandbox mechanics as I can to get the competition house right. Its fun and frustrating and challenging as well

for windows around the door use glass walls you can resize them to your liking and for moving doors and windows have move tool on snap to grid on. They do have left and right side windows for the half round ones anyways. For the roofs you can move with snap to grid on and resize them up, down, out left and out right till you get roof where you want it. If not sure about basements use land sculpting tool click on R button go to very last icon on top then square icon below that then from inside your house trace out your house shape to create hole in ground to desired depth for floor to ceiling height just if you want windows in basement take that to account on how deep you make the hole, so say 8 foot ceiling put 4 to 5 feet in hole and the remainder 4 to 3 feet above ground and yes can be more a pain as much as the roofs can be till you get the idea and used to it. There are videos to show you how just have to find them.

I've been using the glass walls in both my Robinson Crusoe build and the latest Massive modern mansion build, they go a bit weird if you don't have snap to grid on when you place them but they work the best for me so far. Just can't recolor them. I have been playing with the land sculpting tools because I has an idea for a hobbit style house, but man they take some getting used to. Basements are something I haven't really explored yet

I just wanted to let you know that I am noting all your hints and tips and will be using them when I play. Have you uploaded a build to mod.io yet?

@@book-ish_ No not yet, but I do have 3 on a go though one is our Raised bungalow, a friends house and The Amityville Horror house. Stuck on all due to lacking furniture and what not to make it look right, other than that the Amityville horror house nearly done and that's how I knew how many pools you can use for to make the lake by the boat house but wasn't enough so had to use tiles that looked like water. So far great game but lacking lot of stuff as everybody I watched pretty much says same thing lol.

@@StephenBourne-xr4cu Sounds great. I hope you do eventually put them up. When you do, let me know I would love to see them. I tried the pool hack and it works well, thank you. I have hope for more stuff and mechanics. The devs seem to be very hands on here so fingers crossed. Have you played HF1? lots of furniture but nothing matches and set colorways. There is also a bit of building in the later DLC's but nowhere near the sandbox here.

@@book-ish_ Yes loved HF1 lots of good stuff from DLC's and from lot of amazing creators for the workshop, I just hope lot of the stuff from HF1 and workshop comes to HF2 then it would be overly amazing. I find myself and lot of others using same stuff rest kind of what the heck is this crap, but I'll keep faith that the Dev's in time well give us what we wanted plus cool stuff that we would love to use. At the moment our Raised bungalow has a bay windows that are angled and as I see no one has done that yet and would love to see that come into the game by Devs either different sizes or resizable, curved railings and stair cases would be nice and would be nice to see more moldings for floor, mid walls and of course ceilings. Just fancy stuff no kiddy stuff all we all ask for lol.
