Watching Beef get unreasonably worked up over small gaps and countertops not snapping properly for 10 minutes is the most relatable thing I’ve ever seen. 😂
Just a suggestion but I think you should take out the door leading into the room and have it as a doorway so the main entrance of the house isn’t just a room with doors
Yes, cabinet snapping sucks in this game, and shelves/pictures falling off walls is a known bug (If you save and come back, they'll probly be down again. Damned neighbor kid vandals). I was hoping they would have fixed this with the last update. Instead of that door, I would have made a double wide opening with lintels to make an archway.
(ahem... Assumes the 'Beef imitating his detractors' voice...) Oh no, Beef... A white combination dining area and living room? That will never work. The first spaghetti dinner will look like the Valentine's Day Massacre...
Really love how that kitchen and living area turned out. I was cringing pretty hard while you working on the living area but you came through fixed the couch and that carpet really brought it together. Still loving this series. Loved the pace of this episode.
I like the color of the walls. I'm fine with the white furniture. I think you just need to find a good secondary color to complement the whitish wall and furniture. Keralis is very good at that. He's also using white wall/furniture combo but then he always add a good splash of colors that pops and make everything works in harmony. You just need to find that balance Beef and you're good to go. p/s: I really really miss Keralis. Hope he'll come back soon. T_T
I don't know if this would be possible or not, but I'd love to see a before and after shot once you're done a house. Like they do in real house flipping shows.
I try to take shots of the rooms before and then after and save them in the Gallery. It's fun to look back on what pits they were and how nice they've turned out.
you have to make sure your first corner cabinet is lined up before you put the rest down or it messes them all up so if you just redo it you could probably fix it. But if you have any other questions about the game or some of the bugs in it just message me on your discord I am a part of your patreon and I have sold almost every house in the game. :)
Hey beef I really think you should put in a sliding door instead of that white door and the large L shaped sofa looked so much better. P.S the kitchen table is driving me insane.
Hey, the corner cabinet at the beginning is called a blind corner cabinet. For some reason a lot of cabinet manufacturers dont cover that hole, but it just gets blocked by the cabinet next to it.
I did the same thing with that wall in the kitchen, I tore it out and put inlets in and created a bar. I feel your struggle with the uneven counter tops! Just waiting on some more bug fixes for the game but I love playing it!
Hey Beef, I dunno why, but it's so relaxing to watch this series. I've got a crazy idea, maybe a modern glass sliding door instead of the wooden one for the dining room would give an avant-garde look, but anyway looking great so far
Suggestions: 1. Tear down the wall between the kitchen and the entry way. It will make the space feel more open. 2. Try turning the dining table 90 degrees, as you were about to do (before you tried 45 degrees). I think it'll help things feel less cluttered, and it'll look better if everything isn't so parallel with the island. I love this series and I love watching you design. Please don't stop fussing with details. To me, that's what makes this game fun to watch you play. Thanks for your great channel, Beef.
I really like what you've done with this room! Quite modern and clean looking. The idea of using the photo of a fireplace was genius and I'm going to borrow that idea! I'm working on this house also and I knocked out most of the walls, destroyed the bathroom, put a bathroom in the small mudroom made a bit bigger, blocked off the door to the garage, knocked down the wall between house and garage, made a wall across the garage blocking out the garage door, will make that part into a study and the remaining room into a large bed room. The new "Installations" option works really well and you are able buy the old plumbing and make it disappear! I agree that placement of certain things calls for a person to ignore their need for order!
Not gonna lie beef, it's a bit too... painfully white. It kinda makes it look like a sterile lab, add more pops of colors in the furnishings! Modern style can have bright colors too!
It looks like it redefines what the room is as you change and furnish it. Which is why you're in a Living Room with Kitchenette now. You may have to change something if you want it to count as a full kitchen.
The room in this game is defined by the furniture (and decorative items) that's placed within it's four walls. If he wants a full kitchen he'll need to put a wall between the kitchen and the living room.
When you took your hammer to the wall, it knocked down the shelves. If you hammer anywhere in the house I think, the shelves will fall off the wall. At least it did with me.
The new bathroom update needs showing off! Sell all your plumbing bits and click the installations tab at the bottom of your tablet and you can move stuff around! No more being stuck with just a shower! Also that is tooo much white! It looks like none of the textures have rendered on your furniture! :o
Digging the new place. It would be nice if the developers threw in some Japanese or Chinese like architectural pieces as well. You could have a zen or feng shui place.
Some things to note on game mechanics! 1: Areas are considered rooms if they are enclosed with walls/lintels. This is how you can adjust room size and separate room types. Items in the rooms determine the room type. 2: I still plaster walls even if I'm going to tear the wall down as I've had glitches. It can get really weird sometimes lol. 3: Light switches will control ALL lights in the room. Multiple switches will be tied to all the lights. 4: Until you get all the upgrades, the mini-map will not show all dirt.
I really like the idea of this game, but I'm not going to buy it because of the problems with lining things up properly. Enjoying your series though, Beef! Also, start working with different color palettes. Sure, it's easy and safe to match black and white, but be adventurous!
You could technically make a fire place... you would have to extend the wall, put the brick or whatever, put shelves, then under you put a poster/picture that you can find on the internet and voila you’re ghetto fireplace
I think the update messed up a few things. There was a house I was working on that on one side of the house I couldn't put up curtains against the wall. They were really far out from the wall
Hey beef, I’m not sure if it’s still a thing, but there was a house called ‘The house that is hiding something’ or somet like that, and it has a basement, in the basement there is a secret room, in the room there is Vincent Van Gough’s painting ‘The Starry Night’ in there which is worth 56k if you sell, there is a sofa which is worth a grand and a dresser worth 100$ Hope you see this dude!
Beef this room begs for color white on white for everything is boring to look at a nice painting or plant would break it up a bit, also for modern builds white and black combo is perfect but please dont forget about color
step out of your comfort zone and stop using white and grey all the time! oh, and things dont have to be in the center of the room, some things can be next to a wall... like a dining table...
I've been watching you play minecraft and other games for years Beef. I just got my wife into watching these videos because she loves the house flipper shows. And she wants to know if you high while recording lol I also have a game suggestion that you might like. A game called Eco :)
idk if they have this in this game, but I'd use a French style double door for the entrance to the living room /kitchen. also your wasting a bunch of space behind that sofa which kinda bothers me but I guess you'll fill that with decorations later. regardless I'm really enjoying this series, keep up the good work beef
If you pulled back the couch, chair, and coffee table, things would line up better, it just seems odd to walk into your home from that side door and walk right into a coffee table
Beef I love this series, I think its perfect for you, since you seem to love decorating. However, this game has some huge problems! I feel like the Sims did it better with the interior design options and the ease of building and placing objects. There just aren't enough choices and the placing of items is cumbersome and awkward. Hopefully this game will get some major updates soon because I feel like we are missing a lot of potential from you!!
I tweeted you a challenge so ill post here i challenge you in house flipper to sell absolutely everything in the house and not use anything that is white unless you cannot change it from white
