The thing with this scene is, I see so many people saying House was a lunatic/psychopath for doing this. But what they need to take into consideration is that House was battling with his own torment and pain for the entirety of the show really, and all he ever did was deflect that pain through humour, sarcasm and all his witty comments. When he and Cuddy got together, she specifically told him that she knew what kind of person he was and that she was willing to date him in spite of that, and even said he didn't have to change at all. From that point on, House put all his trust in her just for it to broken when he had his relapse, which by the way is a very normal thing for a drug addict especially if they've been sober for more than a year. Despite this, she breaks up with him. Fast forward to this episode, Cuddy breaks House, and gets him to open up about how he really feels. Now he's vulnerable, and when he's about to finally give her the brush to move on, he sees Cuddy with another man, despite her saying she wasn't dating anyone. Although she didn't lie, it seemed that way to House, and given the culmination of events that occurred prior, he snapped. You really can't blame him. Now I'm not saying it's justified but no one can comment on how his character should have behaved because he was living in misery since his muscle was removed, and realistically there is a breaking point for everyone. Anyway, I'm not sure anyone is bothered enough to read all of this but I had to say it 😂.
She kept trying and trying and trying to work with him and then trying and trying to date him. But finally it was just too much. If someone did that to you are you saying you would still want to live in the same city, let alone have to see them at work every day? I am sure she still thinks about him and wonders what he's doing but sometimes things are too painful to keep seeing someone. And when you realize someone is that unstable if you have a kid you have to put them first. She doesn't need her kid getting dragged to the ER in the middle of the night because mom's friend tried to do surgery on himself, and she definitely doesn't need her child to come home from Grandma's to see her house destroyed. And she probably wonders what if grandma had had a cold and Rachel had unexpectedly been home that night after all. It's a terrible, terrifying thing to happen and even if part of her still cares about him, at some point you need to take care of yourself and your family and stay away from people who are that crazy.
@@junbh2 who knows what the answer is How to juggle caring for the one that's dangerous without exposing others to danger ? Hate to shut them out But ?!?! Yeah specially with a kid
The fact that this was last scene released with Lisa Edlestein is semi tragic that they didnt close her story regardless. I read if Shore knew Lisa was leaving the show they would have gave her a better send off than this scene OR the scene with police in the beginning of episode
After seeing the last 5 episodes, how House was unable to move on in a significant way, while destroying himself, I really liked this. Even with all the consequences of what he did on him... he finally moved on.
Christian Torrico but don't you think this scene changed the character or made him cross the line between just a flawed hero to Anti Hero. Sometimes when I think of this moment it's like ok that's how House reacted every time he went through his big downspirals: The Tritter arc, the last episodes of season 5 (he almost killed Chase by accident) and now crashing his car into Huddy's place. I think David Shore regreted this moment since in season 8 they explained he went to trial without a lawyer because he felt he deserved to be in jail. He said so to Adams so they added that because Shore regreted that scene. He felt he took the character too far and he wanted to back off in a believable way.
The Bastard Son's the sentence was 1 year in jail, but i think he deserved even more, just because he's an ass and wilson never go to visit him,not even his mother
The best character ever created! Dr. House. You can't get enough of him. I wish there was just at least one season after the death of Wilson and he being finally happy with the family he deserves. Also, song at the ending- Spoon- got nuffin. Have a wonderful day people ❤️
No matter how much you dislike Cuddy, no one deserves this. Having a fomer boyfriend/girlfriend crashing their car against your home, much worse while you and your family are inside, would be completely horrifyind and a very traumatic experience. No one has the right to do this.
It also shows how much house cared about wilson. In this moment of vengeance he thought about Wilson's safety and made him to get out. It's also funny when Wilson suggests him to let his anger out
So this is buddy’s last appearance huh, house crashes his car into her home like that as payback, and I’m guessing that after house left she called the cops on him and arrested him for it!
House has finally Lost it! And so after this cuddly and her family call the cops on him, and this scene was the last time we see cuddy, her appearance ended with house crashing into her home as payback for the break up! And so after that they called the cops on him
You know I really didn't want to like this scene as much as I did but I just really started to dislike Cuddy after she just randomly broke up with him.
Some dude they last six months like a couple,i would left him before to be honest,he's very selfish and cuddy say to him when break up with him that he put himself over her over and over again because that is just who he is,and she is right.
Randomly? Did you watch any of season 7? He was a very poor boyfriend, very selfish, and kept abandoning her whenever she needed someone. Even when she thought she was dying he ran away. Much as I wish she had kept trying with him, and how much it broke my heart to see them split up, if she was anyone I knew in real life I would have urged her to break up with him.
@@junbh2 House made a lot of changes about himself for her and her child, he even saved cuddys mother. In a relationship. being a mother doesnt mean that you are the only one that matters in the relationship. As her with her child, house had problems too, and in the first situation that she had to do something for him, she dumped him, instead of supporting him about the vicodine problem. Im not saying that what house did when he crashed cuddys house was ok. But i cant say that i feel bad for her.
Weird level of symbolism here. House is destroying Cuddy's house. In a way - he's crashing into his & Cuddy's relationship, the final straw. The hairbrush acts as the baggage House has carried. Now House gleefully passes it onto Cuddy who will never get over something like this - an ex nearly killing her & her family. And on top of it all - he does it in Wilson's car (I think). Taking all the goodwill & lessons learned....to cause destruction.
When a friend is in emotional distress you never ever get out of the vehicle nothing good can ever come from this Cuddy's character deserve this but they were ending her time on the show due to salary disputes they wanted everyone to take a pay cut and she refused but in reality you never ever get out of the vehicle! If you're a real friend that is.
Im completely on House's side on this one. He told her that their relationship wasnt going to work on day one. He didn't wanna get hurt again. He warned her that she would end up breaking up with him. But still she kept pushing on. Also she broke up with her fiance on the same day. After a while she also broke up House just as he predicted and ended up hurting him even more. This scene happened only a few weeks after their break up. House was feeling like shit and she was having the time of her life and invited a guy on date to her home. No wonder House finally snapped.
Right date a guy that you know is very selfish and a known drug addict then get mad and dump him when he does drugs to deal with something he doesn't know how to deal with
I thought it was fine the way things worked (not fine crashing the car of course!). If Cuddy is still on the show then there is no way House can come back to PP. And Foreman finally gets what he wants as the top admin and he slides back in. But yeah, other than the prison episode (they could make a whole season on House in prison, he is well suited to survive on the inside) season 8 was not as interesting. My favs were with Masters as she was the perfect counterbalance for House.
House deserved a lot better from everyone at Princeton Plainsboro. Yes, he’s a jerk, but why? He can’t trust anyone, not Wilson, not Cuddy, not Foreman. That being said, I would’ve loved to see Season 8 as him expatriating, enjoying the beach, and finding his calling at a local hospital taking the cases he likes.
@@britneysexyy Yes and No when House care about somebody he cares to much, thats why he try to avoid repeat it most of time because ends like here That selfishness combined with misanthropy is a defense mechanism which he use from how everything ended with Stacy. He swore to himself never to love anyone, since the last time he did he was hurt in a horrible way (Stacy leave him disabled and then divorced), so much so that Wilson had to be by his side to help him, This is notorious, that when he went out with Cameron in the first season, he talk to her about treat him well and not play with him, and that despite what he showed on the outside he was a very sensitive person on the inside and who still is very hurt from the divorce . When things finally happened with Cuddy, he really made an effort with her like no one else, he took her to the Go Karts to do little races, he moved sea and land so that his subordinates could solve the problem of the lack of surgeons that were in the hospital, he made an effort with his daughter to the point that she loved him, he even moved sea and land so she would be accepted into the school to which Coddy wanted put the girl. When his cancer came he was afraid of losing the one he loved and relapsed into Vicodin, and she was afraid that he would not show up, at the last moment he plucked up the courage and showed up. After the operation she terminated him for having relapsed in that situation, he begged again and again that there was no reason to do that, that he was changed, that although it was a relapse he would continue trying to detoxify and would do whatever it took to prove it, She didn't give a damn and she left him, for in less than a week she was already hanging out with a banker with who she had only spoken for less than 5 minutes and that's why House got angry House never get any real compensation over all his efforts only to end up even more hurt so i don't blame him for wanting a break (even if it's radical XD)
He was a flawed genius everyone hated, just downright hated, he lived in pain and sorrow....he could have lived just solving puzzles and drugging himself...but the law and society wouldn't allow him....watch the show...he was stable...a jerk but ok before people pushed him into trying to he a better person saving lives no one else could but it wasnt enough they had to push him to be a better member of society , to be sober to be a good person a lover, to be happy....they couldn't level him alone. People never grow or improve under pressure or by force...and society rarely makes things better. So if House right in his personal actions? Rarely But should have him been pushed to those positions to begin with 87% of the time it was someone else arrogance in thinking they were or knew what was better.... Never try to fix you friends for God sake ...once is trying to help someone other is being Wilson to them. But dont be house neither care about yourself
No serious, season 8 have one of the best moments and House&Wilson explore relation become more deep at end but well, is your opinion man for me House is House, House M.D is the only series with 8 seasons and 177 episodes i seen more than once and I don't get bored
It already happened after Jennifer Morrison left the show. JMo prepared the knife and Lisa Edelstein killed it. - Foreman became the new Cuddy, House dated a totally unexperienced, imature whore, the show was about strangers and Wilson died. 😂 lol.
