THE WAY MY ASS RAN OVER HERE AS SOON AS I GOT THE NOTIFICATION! I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I LOVE THE DEVIL REJECTS A LITTLE MORE BUT THIS MOVIE IS AWESOME TOO! PLEASE DO THE DEVIL REJECTS! ❤
Hopefully we'll see a reaction to the rest of the trilogy sooner rather than later. The Devil's Rejects is widely considered to be Rob Zombie's best movie and 3 From Hell deserves a watch even though it's missing Captain Spaulding because he was supposed to be a big part of the movie but Sid Haig's health was on the decline and he sadly passed away only a couple days following the 3 From Hell's release
Baby Firefly is played by Rob Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon. Otis is played by Bill Mosely, who played Chop Top (the guy with the metal plate in his head) in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. They both show up a lot in Zombie's movies.
Sooooo this one was critically panned upon release, but has gained a large cult following since! It’s The Devil’s Rejects, the sequel, that received more positive reviews and focuses heavy on the killer family compared to the victims.
Love a lot of Captain Spalding's lines in this movie (and a lot of them still live rent free in my head - as well as his True Crime narration ride)! RIP Sid Haig!
Dying to see your reaction to The Devil's Rejects. This was a ton pf fun to watch. I got to see this in theaters way back when, and it was a crazy experience.
If I remember correctly Rob Zombie said he didn’t love this movie bc it felt like a music video. He had only shot music videos before. I still enjoy it though lol
Since there seems to be so much love for drag mixed in with the love of horror (seriously the 'I'd like to keep it on' joke in the Saw X reaction always brings me joy) I've wondered for a while if there's any interest in Dragula reactions- at least with some of the floorshows.
The fact that this just came up on my fyp. Today marks the 14th death anniversary of my first love and this was one of the first movies he showed me when we first got together. I truly love your reaction videos and it’s nice to see one of my and his favorite movies here.
I’ve watched all your old videos and am now up to date so was so happy to see another land! I’m a patreon too, that’s how much I need these and you two in my life! 😘
Fun fact I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but The maze at universal studios Halloween Horror Nights 2000 was constructed and opened while the film was still being made. Another fun fact maybe And if I’m not mistaken the head creator at that time gave rob zombie the idea and he made the movie (I don’t know if that last part is true but I think I remember it being true )
Sooo. I was all of 12 when i saw this MASTERPIECE of horror, and have seen the whole trilogy. Love it all hope you guys make it through it. It's a lot of fun lol
I had the honor of meeting Bill Mosley (Otis/Riff Raff) at a horror convention. He was so kind and lovely. I asked him to yell the RUN RABBIT lines which he proceeded to do enthusiastically.
Definitely check out “the devils rejects” and “3 from Hell” it’s considered the firefly trilogy and omg I loveeeeee the devils rejects and “3 from hell” while forgettable i remember thinking it was a really good finale 🤓🤓🤓🤓
You are correct, that is the same actor in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. He also is in a few Ice Nine Kills music videos as (I believe) the cop trying to arrest Spencer (his name is Bill Mosley)
This movie scared me so much as a 10 year old but I saw it a couple years ago and I was delighted by how funny and camp it is. Also genuinely incredible acting by Sid Haig, Bill Moseley and Karen Black.
I saw this movie in theaters with my dad when I was 14, and then later that year for Halloween we dressed up as Otis and Captain Spaulding. I was Otis (even though I'm a girl lol but I loved his face paint he had toward the end of the movie) and my dad was Captain Spaulding. I still have that photo of us framed and sitting out in my house to this day. I really hope we get a reaction to The Devil's Rejects sooner rather than later. It's Rob Zombie's best movie, in my opinion, and it's one of my all time favorites. It's very different than this one though and doesn't take place at Halloween.
So many actors from this are now passed. Always makes me sad. Def finish the trilogy and if ya want a fun animated rob film. El superbeasto is a blast and a fave of mine. And you are correct Otis is also choptop lol yall will also see tiny again in an unexpected place soon
When I saw Walter Goggins as The Ghoul in Fallout I thought I hadnt seen him in much other stuff but came to realize, Ive seen him in loads of movies, this being one of them as I just realized that the cop is him! 😆
I said it the other night to my girlfriend, but I could TOTALLY see a Devils Reject / Terrifier crossover. Both of those series are so graphic and gory, Art the Clown would fit righttttt in with the Firefly family
Well, I guess this means yall have to watch Devil's Rejects now. Totally different vibe. Like almost not even the same genre, but just as good, some say even better than Corpses.
If you end up liking the rest of the trilogy, Rob Zombie also did 31 and The Lords of Salem. The look and feel changed pretty dramatically though from this film, and Rob Zombie's films are a bit of an acquired taste.
I hope you guys get a chance to watch the sequel . The Devils Rejects . Loved the reaction as always . Keep up the great work over Spooky season, big boys 🎃
This movie’s vibe and visuals is what make this a fun watch for me. Characters feel just the right level of over the top. Fodder I care nothing about and antagonists that are disturbing and compelling.
I love this movie so much! It's a love letter to all the classic horror movies but still it's own thing. My wife likes The Devil's Rejects more but that just means we always watch both of them 😎
Baby is such an iconic character… her laugh is amazing. ❤ Yessssss!!! I truly hope you two watch The Devil’s Rejects! ❤ these are some of my fave horror films.
I watched this movie from under my covers as a lil kid while my parents and their friends watched it thinking I was asleep, and it seriously scared the crap out of me lmao. As a horror hardened veteran, it is so camp and goofy that I really don’t get what about it freaked me out so much 😅
I love this movie!! The RZ Halloween remake scarred me for life because I saw it on dvd and it was the uncut version with the gratuitous SA scene in it 😭 I was NOT expecting that from a Halloween movie so I was so caught off guard and it was honestly traumatic 😅 I hated RZ for YEARS because of that!! I caught the 3hr Michael Lives: making of Halloween documentary on RU-vid and that changed my mind about him, so I gave this movie a chance and I was so glad I did 😂
Going as the captain this Halloween just waiting on my mini uncle Sam top hat, also I get to meet otis driftwood this Halloween as well...wish sid was still alive
I rarely comment BEFORE watching, but I am so excited!! This is maybe not what I would say is my favorite horror movie, but it’s my most watched (well, and Scream). Speaking of Terrifier 2: I plan on celebrating Dan Stevens’ birthday today by seeing Terrifier 3. Yeah, I know he’s not in it. 😂
Buckle-in for a whole hell of a lot more Sheri Moon Zombie 😂 I'm so excited because y'all get to watch the two sequels, (The Devil's Rejects & Three From Hell)!! I hope y'all continue w/ Zombie's oeuvre, and watch Lords Of Salem.
One of my exes had us watch this for our first movie night date (I hadn't seen it yet, he had) and got scared when I guessed the serial killers correctly from the ride before they said the names 😂
Luv you two no matter what the season, but being a Halloween-is-year-round girl myself (lofl), adore your spooky season tons! Please react to Rob Zombies follow-up to this one, "Devils Rejects"...much of the same cast, much higher budget & Mr. Zombie starting to perfect his directors' chops. ❤❤❤
