I like that the show has shown that the dragons are more than just "beasts" like how the people in GOT see them. They're intelligent, sensitive animals - Syrax understand the Dragonkeepers and feels Rhaenyra's sadness and hesitation before burning Aemma's body. They're still incredibly dangerous, but they're hardly mindless killing machines.
Bro wait some season your perspective about dragon will change when the caraxes and syrax start destruction and raining fire. .......you will see Daemon and rheneyra dragons destruction
Well...you have to understand these dragons were raised by experts and had a stronger bond to their riders. Dany had ro figure it out all by herself...she didn't even know what a dragon ate! She also was able to ride Drogon only when he almost became an adult while Rhaenyra and Daemon have been riding their dragons since practically childhood
I gotta say I used to think these new dragons didn't look good as the older ones, but honestly Syrax has some pretty cool horns and Caraxes is simply badass af. It is cool that they all have different body shapes. And the sounds they make?! I love the vocalizations of Caraxes!
I think the main issue with the design is that they're trying to actually mold them to look like their book counterparts. The books describe them with vivid colors, sounds and movements unique to each. The dragons from GoT used darker tones, which left more room for them to obscure some of the details and give a more realistic, down to Earth feel. These ones are crimson, gold, silver, sea fog, black and blue in coloration, with more variety in shape and design to incorporate. They still look great, but the amount of CGI required for each definitely takes more time and funding.
It does not matter how many times I've already seen this scenes over and over again. I still get tears in my eyes, the music and beauty of the dragons. It's so good to see the dragons again!
I love it. HOTD is already epic. The producers are clearly very in touch with the audience and the very first scene of a flying dragon and rider is marvelous. And to think Dany had three dragons.
Why though? Drogon in season 7 could ferry several grown man with no problems. They clearly have no problem flying around and fighting with those things. If anything I feel bad for Dany and Jon riding their dragons bareback.
Well, that's basically a part of "sucking" at dragonriding... Dany rode Drogon bareback cause she had no clue about what she was doing, and (speaking about the books) she still has no idea, lost in the dothraki sea Drogon barely notices her and she's still unable to tame him. These dragons in HotD they were better trained and the fact they had those "keepers" training them in high valyrian, saddles and perfect bonding with their master/rider proves all what Dany and generally all Targaryens lost after the death of the dragons.
Everyone almost looked funny to Daenerys when she said dragons were her children and weren't beasts. But here we see the connection between rider and dragon...it is a bond compared to mother and child in my opinion
The back ground score - it's own violin +elements of Danny's theme + elements of got theme. When you think that Danny's theme is going to come, it suddenly changes, and slowly morphs into Got theme, then gradually changes into something else and again elemtns of Danny's theme come up.
I don't know if you did it on purpose but I love that you didn't cut off the scene where Daemon is entering the castle - after all he's truly a dragon xd.
The only episode of GoT I ever watched was a youtube video called 'Game of Thrones but only the Dragons' and I intend to continue that tradition with House of Dragons lmao.
@@maniac27 Yes in stories in books they're supposed to be much bigger but you see scenes Drogon escaping from white walkers when Viserion dies and when Tyrion is telling Daenerys not to go North, you'll see what I mean.
These dragons are horrible, the necks are 3 times longer than in the GOT. They can't get quality of the picture like the other. It's always, cloudy, dull. I can't get used to it. It could have been done much better especially if they got a prototype
