May Hashem bless Grandma. She has been calling you by your birth name for your lifetime. Judaism teaches respect and love of our matriarchs and patriarchs.
It’s amazing how when I hop on to watch your channel I just feel a calmness set in just by watching .You both have a peaceful, and calming presence about you that just comes through. I tune in because I really enjoy the information that you provide it’s very accurate and always informative 😊
Excited about your Hebrew journey and your cake video in Hebrew was hilarous... keep it up🏅 Kol (all, voice) Ha (The) Kavod (Respect)❣aka means well done 🎉
It's very busy times in Israel....trying to get things ready for happy purim while going to funereal abd shiva house for soldiers... and making care packages fir the ones that r fighting and the miss places families in the North and south...all whole working o מתווה גדולה להיות בשמחה תמיד....can't wait fir u guys to come and bring more Jewish light to israel
22:43 “it’s just clothes”! lol you guys relax we are all humans and we all have the same goal! “Organizing our life” our clothes! Haha Do not feel embarrassed! Really! And I for one appreciate your full disclosure of real life! “You’re moving to Israel!🇮🇱 BH!” 🙌 🎉❤
As a Jew living in Israel ( i wasn't born in Israel or as a Jew...) a can say, living in Israel is like the connection of, your soul with the body, like another level of being alive... Am israel is the soul and the land of Israel is the body...
You have done more for the spirit of Am Yisroil, especially in these difficult times. Your neshumahs are the true spirit of the Jewish people, with so much hate out there, you manage to only take the good, and ignore the bad. Lots of love, be well, be happy! Am Yisroil Chai!
So exciting to see the next installment of your story. So happy for you that you have this opportunity to make aliyah! It is good that Chava is learning Hebrew too. She will bear a huge part of the responsibility for ensuring that the children master Hebrew - which is going to be of utmost importance once you are in Israel. That said, I hope you will continue to speak English with the kids, so that they grow up bilingual - all the more so given the position that the English language occupies in today's world. If you want to legalize your name changes, you really need to do that while you are still living under the jurisdiction of a US court and are able to file a normal petition. If you wait until after you are abroad, you will no longer be able to file a standard petition. You will require a lawyer's assistance to determine where to file, and how to word the petition. It will cost possibly as much as 6000 USD per person and take even a year or more. Been there, done that. Really: if you do want to legalize your new names, do not wait. I wish you all the best in all the procedures, the moving process and getting settled :)
I made Aloya in 1979 at age 16. A couple of years, later I changed my name in the Ministry of Interior/Misrad HaPnim. When I renewed my US passport, my TZ was shown and my name was changed on my US passport ever since. I think one is allowed to change their name once in seven years unless they get married/divorced. However I could be wrong. Also, I have no relatives in the States, nor do I have any assets in the States. Mikimi in Tzfat
@@mikimisteinberg4016 I don't think it matters whether you have relatives or assets in the United States. There is also the matter that Federal regulations are different. And it is Federal regulations that apply to passports and Social Security. Federal regulations do not require a court order to change your name for passport and Social Security purposes. I used a British change of name deed for those purposes. If you are trying to change your birth certificate, that is a very different matter. I can only speak for certain with regard to Pennsylvania, but they do indeed require a court order. The British change of name deed is not acceptable unless registered in court, which I could not do because I have neither citizenship nor residence in the UK. It proved to be very expensive and time-consuming to arrange a court order in the United States.
I don't know why I'm obsessed with your channel but i am.... And I'm not even Jewish... I'm black & Catholic but wife is jewish.. We have an interfaith marriage..... May the Lord above bless you on your journey😊
Hello beautiful people, I watch you religiously I love your family. I have an important question to ask you. I know you’re and I’m wondering if you have an SUV or minivan that you need to sell? Last year April 27, 2023 someone smashed into our SUV and totaled it. We have not found a vehicle to replace it. The insurance company didn’t give us that much money and use cars are extremely expensive. I wanted to know if you are selling a vehicle and we can afford it that would be incredibly wonderful. I look forward to hearing from you. Sheri and Dean Slater
Bless you guys in your decision to move and make Aliyah..I made this decision over 28 yrs. ago and even though it was the hardest decision in my life, it has turned out to be the BEST decision in my life, now at 76yrs. young. I would love to have you and your family over for a meal at my humble home by the SEA in beautiful Nahariya, up North, close to Lebanon..We have a wonderful English speaking community (Anglos) and would love to introduce your family to them..Sounds like you'll be here for the Chaggim...What a wonderful time. Have a great time packing and Purim Sameach !!!
I have found SO MUCH INSPIRATION witnessing so many converting to Judaism and have been following your experience for months... While I was born and raised Jewish, and my love of HaShem is most precious to me, my life has been more secular in practice. Where do I get started to study Torah and understand it and everything that goes with it? What texts do you suggest? I can read Hebrew but outside of the most chanted prayers, my comprehension is limited. What do you recommend? I'm excited for you and your entire family in making Aliyah. Can't wait to see your journey unfold. Baruch HaShem. 💙🔯💙
I'm a woman looking for a learning partner. I don't consider myself to be religiously observant but I believe very strongly that everything is from HaShem. Mikimi in Tzfat
I click House of Lev my husband "MAN that intro MUSIC is so good you gotta bop to that." as he dances the logo comes up: "MAN that's a good logo!" He finds such joy of me watching you guys and how awesome you guys are !!!! He also says: "House of Lev's journey is so wholesome and beautiful and even though I'm not the same type of Jewish as they are it's what it should be, welcoming kind honest and no gatekeeping they are good examples of good Jews I love their content." 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Deep question: What made you believe Israel is for you? Dati Leumi (national religious zionists/modern Orthodox ) is probably perfect. Men, chuck your jackets and hats. Chabad is accepting more than anyone, even Breslev. Haredi is very stringent and not ''State oriented'' ie zionist. Will be fascinating to follow you😊...In Israel rooms are tiny, there are no closets and storage non existent. You're so right - declutter declutter! For Pesach clean ''hametz'' only and you're good to go!
Dealing with Grandma may be your biggest challenge yet!! Might better let her be and let her call you by your birth name! 😂😂😂😂😂 So good to see y’all today!! Have missed you! ❤❤
@@houseoflevall jokes aside, it may be really hard for family to call you by a different name. And I’d say that’s ok. You can start a new life in Israel where everyone knows you by your Hebrew names. Y’all are still wonderful people whether you go by your old names or new names! ❤
I would love a series on making aliyah!! I keep going back and forth- I lived and worked there for a year after college and i loved it, but Israel definitely has unique challenges especially coming from America which is all about convenience and customer service! It's so valuable to hear people's ups AND downs when making aliyah. PS- move to the Gush, it's beautiful!
NIV The Word Became Flesh 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through Him all things were made; without Him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it. 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. 9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. 11 He came to that which was His own, but His own did not receive Him. 12 Yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God- 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. 14 The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. Jesus is Lord and God. The Only Begotten Son of God the Father. Jesus is coming back and He will judge the quick and the dead. Jesus rose from the dead. He died for our sins. He is God in the Flesh. The Great Lord God of the Old Testament. The Almighty. You're a sinner. We all are. It only takes one sin to separate us from God forever and that is why the Lord came to die for us. God has revealed Himself as Triune in Nature. He offers salvation from His righteous wrath and we can be saved from eternal torment, by believing on the Only Begotten Son of the Living God. God the Father is God. God the Son is God. And God the Holy Spirit is God. Jesus predicted He'd raise Himself from the dead. It's what actually happened. Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a perfect and sinless Life. Jesus died on the cross and 3 days later, He rose from the dead. Scripture said death could not hold Him. If you've lied once, stolen, lusted, fornicated, committed adultery, were disobedient to parents, blasphemed (the worst), you've sinned and God would be righteous and just if He utterly destroyed you and sent you to the flames now. He is offering you a chance to get saved. Believe on Jesus Christ, repent (turn away) from all your sins and be saved through the precious Blood of Jesus Christ. There is no good work you can do to be saved. You're not and will not ever be good enough. On the cross, Jesus said 'It is Finished'. That means He did all of the work. Join a Bible BELIEVING, Trinity-believing Baptist church near you. I recommend you listen watch the movie The Gospel of John, it's like 3 hours long. Stay away from that corrupted show The Chosen. It isn't accurate. Jesus won't lose anyone. Don't take the coming Mark of the Beast, they will advertise it as something attractive so that you will. Be weary of AI, and transhumaniam. God won't lose any of the elect. Get saved, your life and soul depend on it. Stay away from those who deny the fact that Jesus rose from the dead and they deny that He came in the flesh and deny the Trinity. God has revealed HIMSELF as Triune in Nature. There is a coming Great-Tribulaiton, where we Christians will be persecuted and we won't be able to buy, or sell unless we have the mark. Those who take the mark will be damned forever. There is no forgiveness for that. Stay clear of Mormon LDS, Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah's Fake Witnesses, Other weird cults, they aren't saved. Orthodox and Roman and Traditional Catholicism, like to do extra works but those works aren't needed. Because our works are like filthy rags. Now we do believe and repent, but we don't need works. And we don't need to confess to a priest. Jesus is our high priest. The priests aren't saved. The Orthodox have paintings (icons) but we should not draw Jesus Christ. Also, stop bowing to statues, if you're Catholic. And we do love Catholics and Orthodox, but we want the Catholics to not bow to statues. And we don't want them to add any works to anything. Just be scripture alone (Sola Scriptura). That's it. And to know Christ's work was enough and so we share this news to everyone, in loving kindness. Every person is created in the Image of the Living God. Join a Baptist church and make sure it follows the Bible. If it does not, leave it. Test the spirits of all who come to you. Foolish Ministries is a great channel, and I highly recommend it. I also recommend Dr. John MacArthur and Justin Peter's, Dr. James White. Get saved. Repent and believe the Gospel (The Good News) and then go and get others saved. Everyone you meet. I'm premilennial and Post-Tribulation. We will go through the Great Tribulation. We will not be able to buy, or sell during that time. A global government is coming. We have to be ready. Do not deny Him. We want Catholics and Orthodox to be saved, because we love them. Bless His Name. Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord. Jesus Christ is coming back soon and His reward is coming with Him, to give to everyone according to their works. I got some advice... Don't anger Him. When the Lord comes back, you want His wrath to PASS-OVER (passover) you. His precious Blood will save you from His wrath. And He is just and righteous in all that He does. The Lord God is good all of the time! Amen. Jesus is God and entered into His own creation. Because God can do anything. He brings life out of death. And those who believe on Jesus Christ, pass from death unto life, even though their body were to die. Forever, they live in Jesus. Jesus Christ brings us to Himself. We are called sons and daughters, His friends. We are adopted into His family. We are not called only slaves. Jesus Christ teaches us to love. I am a Baptist Christian. Amen. I am an ex-Catholic and as much as I love them and the Orthodox, they need to get saved out of that works based stuff. They need to get saved. Also, God the Father calls God the Son, God. Psalm 45:6 Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. How come synagogues purposely skip over Psalm 53? Jesus is Lord and God. ✝️✝️✝️💕
I love your family💖 Your family is the perfect representation of what a Jew is . I am big on practice what you preach and you show that I hope everybody learns from watching you. Much love 💖💖💖
I totally c u guys as living in Ramat Bet Shemesh... but obviously, u r going to do your homework abd will find your rught famiky fit. I have been in Israel for over 40 years.... just this morning i was helping a person that came in aliya in the supermarket ( that is something that hapowns all the time all around Israel as there r always peooke coming on aliya and tye peoole thar hace been here longer r always happy to help the newr olim) u guys r amazing!!!
First I absolutely love you guys, your story and your journey!! I always wanted to reach out for a while but never did. I just wanted to let you know that changing your first name, like I think all you need, is actually a very very easy process. I did it, in ny. Could be Cali is different but in ny it was a breeze less than an hour. I went from Moshe David to Sean, don't ask... and yes I all still frum, actually a 5th grade rebbi in long Island. All the best and good luck in israel, I made Aliya as a kid. Did not work out that great for me, but you guys seem to have this!! So good luck much love Sean
When you change your name with the Ministry of the Interior, it will automatically change in the US. (You will need to surrender your US passports and have new ones reissued)
Best way to get the kids to speak Hebrew is to surround them by Hebrew speaking ppl My son started speaking so many Hebrew phrases just a few months after becoming friends with a Hebrew speaking kids He’s better than me by now!
Check out Ramat Beit Shemesh: suburban eith mountain s and farms, 35 minutes out of Central Jerusalem, very diverse communities (Orthodox), lots of kids, easy shopping, very good ulpan in Ramat Beit Shemesh. Drawback: too much English spoken. (The dogs bark in English). Good luck
Your closet and laundry baskets do not look any more worse than anything I've seen by families here in Israel w more than three children! Declutter all u want, however a huge tip for making Aliya: if U have any favorite shoes for either or you parents or kids, then buy to have because it takes time to get used to some items in Israel. I've been living in Israel since 1979 at age 16 so I have some knowledge of what I've seen by certain friends. Many people will ask relatives to buy them the children's undies because of a certain brand that u are used to than understanding clothing sizes in Israel in the beginning. But other clothing will be easier to learn to buy here in Israel: the girls' if they wear tights. I don't wear tights or stockings - I wear men's athletic socks. U talked about all your laundry and I thought of the clothes that my friends used to ask their parents to buy for them before coming to visit. But as u have two teens who are growing, my mind went to certain clothing that can be difficult to find in the beginning. Nowadays, from what I see on FB in an all women's group I see how there are many clothing outlets in Israel and make-up stores; I think most everything has an equivalent in Israel, although I'm not a big shopper for myself. I live up in Tzfat so when u do get to Israel, I know I'm not the only one from Tzfat who follows u, but I may have more place to sleep y'all as I live alone. Mikimi in Tzfat
If you need decluttering advice, it's totally worth checking out Cas from Clutterbug. She transformed my life! No more shoes falling out of cupboards ;-). Especially if you are going to move to a small Israeli apartment. Hatzlacha!
Please let the audience know your dealing with the Jewish agency. And how racist they are. I'm an Israeli Jew registered with them ( born in India) and yet they are dragging their heels about my Aliyah.
@@houseoflev I undersant that - but you have to understant that as an athority figure/ influencer by not airing out the dirty laundry its allowing for the lack of accountability to continue - yielding in Racism to continue.
I stayed to the end. I am excited for your move and to see Israel through your eyes. Two of my children have been. It was a wonderful experience for them. 🩵🤍🩵🤍
