Marvel is the absolute worst when it comes to mapping. Just take the TPBs, glue them together, and slap a hardcover on it? Not buying this one.

Totally agree; it really diminishes my interest in buying these things when they can’t be bothered to put them in the correct order. Having to constantly flip around (not even mentioning figuring out the correct order) a 1300 page book is NOT pleasant.

One good compromise I liked is in the big hardcover I got for Spider-Man clone conspiracy. That one has the main books in front with the tie-ins behind it also, but there is a page in front that shows a legend for the chronological order of all the tie-ins within the main event series. It required some flipping around and 3 or 4 bookmarks to read the tie-ins in order, but it was nice to be able to do so without having to Google a reading order.

What this review fails to mention is that this omnibus has a bit of an issue with cropping. It's clearly visible on the 2 page spread in 2:39, if you compare it to a digital version of these same pages. It's cropped about 2mm on each side. It doesn't look like a big deal, but I would argue it is very noticeable since everything seems off. Later on the problem is much worse when the artists intended to squeeze every single tiny bit of real estate on those pages and you get characters cropped through their faces. The story is there though, and if you want to read it this omnibus is good for that purpose. Just don't get it thinking it's "the ultimate" House of M.

Whew! I'm exhausted listening to you read all those titles, I couldn't imagine reading all that. I love Bendis's work though, that's definitely worth it. And the Spider-Man crossovers are vital.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but the one I pre-ordered from Organic Priced Books is also the DM cover but is titled Secrets of the House of M. Is there a difference? Thanks!

Hate that marvel switched up the cover artwork on this one. The original solicitation had the artwork for #1 it's still ribic but a different issue.

They didn't. This cover by Ribic was shown in the announcement video by NMC in March 2022 and was the cover shown in the August 2022 official solicits. They do have similar cover colors, though. I don't love either one, personally.

@@edwardmiguez6608 I didn't watch that video but in my solicitations and the original catalog listing it had the cover for #1 otherwise I wouldn't be commenting. Perhaps we were looking at different things but that's what I saw at the time.

If I’m new to comics and omnibus if I wanted to pick this one up am I missing something by not reading any X-men before this?? Thinking bout picking it up but I dnt have any X-men the story seems dope tho.
