The thing is tho that at the end of the day, Jacerys and Lucerys have as much Targaryen blood in their veins as Alicents children do. Even tho they don't look like the traditional ones
Not technically. Viserys' parents were both Targaryen. So he had pure Targaryen blood. So Alicents children have Hightower blood mixed with pure (from two sources) Targaryen blood. So they are half Targaryen - blood wise. Rhaenyra's Mom was not Targaryen. So while she is half Targaryen by blood, her children are only one quarter Targaryen, by blood.
@@michaelf8702 Rhaenyra's mum was half Targaryen. Aemma Arryn (dad Arryn, mum Targ - cousin wife of Viserys). So Rhaenyra herself is 3/4 Targaryen compared to her Hightower half-siblings who are just half. Obviously, blood gets diluted every generation so . . . none of it matters. For example: Viserys isn't "pure" Targ either, because Aegon the Conqueror's mother is Velaryon. Blood gets mixed and dilutes every generation. After eight generations, Daenerys is probably less Targ, blood-wise, than Rhaenyra's children. It doesn't matter. They're all still Targs.
@@michaelf8702 the Hightowers married into the Targs for the first time was in Maegor day but he didn’t have any kids. I’m not sure who you referring to? Can you clarify?
love how they showed Aemond as the way he really is: just a fking kid with a big toy in his hands, he was bluffing until Vhagar gave him a reality check about what dealing with dragons is really about
Now he gets to live with the moniker of kinslayer for the rest of his life and everything the Blacks do in retaliation (if you know, you know) is because of his fck up
I find it weird that some people can't accept this to be true. Aemond in the books was barely an adult when this happened. It's completely believable that he was acting like a complete dickhead and it just blew out of proportion. Why would it be hard to believe that a 20ish year old man trying to torment his 13 year old nephew couldn't control his 200 year old war dragon? Kin slaying and killing of messengers are pretty fat war crimes and I doubt a 20 year old would want that on his resume lol.
the baby was a girl btw in the books rhaenyra named her Visenya, it’s a shame they didn’t talked about it since it could’ve been a good parallel to the 1st episode when a Aemma and Viserys where talking in the bathtub and she said rhaenyra thought it was another girl and that she already chose the name which was visenya
@@abhijithas1015 one of the sources from the book also descibed the unborn child got some kind deformity of dragon shape with wings and small tail. If i remember correctly the unborn child doesn't have heart as well. But since the book is basically bunch of hearsay. It's not 100% accurate. Tho this dragon deformity also happened to Daenerys' and drogo's unborn child.
Poor Rhaenyra lost her father, lost her baby due to miscarriage and lost one of her sons in a matter a few days 😭😭😭 her birthright was also stolen from her. Rhaenyra has good reason to burn all the bloody greens.
@@michaelnkomphela8231whats so funny about that, though? Most of the main characters will die in the end. Also, died by dragon's fire sound way better than died by poison and imprison tbh
@@deardiary4996 the discussion is about Rhaenyra not everyone else. By the way she died by being ripped to shreds 1st, only a leg survived and then Sunfyre ate her, not such a clean burn death after all.
@@michaelnkomphela8231 whats discussion? You reply to a comment that talking about feeling bad for Rhaenyra and want her to burn the greens, this is about Rhaenyra and the greens.
I've read the book a long time ago, so i might not remember everything but i do remember much of the characters die in a horrible ways. Just say you're team greens and you're not happy people support Rhaenyra, you want to make fun of her dead, let me tell you sth none of the greens die easier than Rhaenyra anyway.
Rhaenys could not kneel because her husband was still alive and (like it or not) he must be the one that speaks for their house. She was clearly impressed by Rhaenerya though.
"She was my only daughter and they killed her, they stole my crown and murdered my daughter, they will pay for this." - Rhaenyra Targaryen All she wanted was to have a daughter, she named her Visenya in memory of Queen Visenya Targaryen, sister-wife of Aegon I The Conqueror Targaryen.
How do you come up with Jace being a "hothead"? He's the most responsible, strategy-minded of the three boys. Remember how he handled Aegon's insult about Jace and Baela's future marital relations; he was angry, but controlled himself and delivered a smooth and gracious toast to his uncles.
I want to mention that Arrax (exhaling fire) was reacting to being hounded by Vhagar which was really a result of Aemond deciding to bully his nephew in the air. Lucerys was scared and so was Arrax. Unfortunately, the consequence was fatal. Lucerys and Aemond both lost control of their dragons. King Viserys once said that Targaryens controlling dragons is an illusion and he was right.
Yeah very true!! He didn’t want him to die but he should just leave him alone ! Especially since Jahiris and his dragon were really small and scared compared to the Veghar who was in many battles and wasn’t even close to being scared…
@@michaelnkomphela8231 its really not that deep they've probably only watch the series and are not book readers so mistaking characters names is pretty normal lol
Dragon dreams have always been nightmares and prophecies of doom. Doom of Valyria, Song of Ice and Fire, beast beneath the boards, Aegon wearing the conquerors crown. Viserys thought his was a good omen that he would finally have a son but it was dire warning of doom. It was a nightmare about his son stealing the crown and throne which caused a massive war that almost destroys House Targaryen, his family and the realm. His son was never supposed to sit on that throne and the Hightowers were never supposed to rule
syrax's reaction while rhaenyra's giving birth is supposed to show the connection between dragon and dragonrider. just like in 1x3, when caraxes screamed when daemon got hit by the arrow in the stepstones. its funny to show that since it seems aemond couldnt control his dragon and that makes u question their connection
@@tamaraaa993 that would make sense but caraxes was originally ridden by aemon, daemon's uncle, for over 10 years so idk. but everyone makes jokes that vhagar is just too old and has dragon dementia at this point lmaoo
"Zaldrīzes buzdari iksos daor." (A dragon is not a slave.) ~Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, Queen of the Andals, the Roynar, and the First Men, Protector of the Seven Kingdoms, Kaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, The Mother of Dragons, the Unburnt, Breaker of Chains "The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion. They're a power men should never have trifled with." ~King Viserys Targaryen, titles, titles, titles... Daemon crowning her like that, just days after setting the same crown on Viserys days earlier, was beautifully tragic. "There has never lived a Stark who forgot an oath." Gotta love that line... two words: Robb Stark. Vermithor, the dragon Daemon was courting, is the second biggest, oldest, fiercest, and most battle hardened dragon alive after Vhagar. That's why Daemon was wooing him with sweet Valyrian lullabies. It is said that Caraxes sings love songs to Syrax. Daemon's dragon lullaby: Fire breather Winged leader But two heads To a third sing From my voice: The fires have spoken And the price has been paid With blood magic With words of flame With clear eyes To bind the three To you I sing As one we gather And with three heads We shall fly as we were destined Beautifully, freely It's a cool and interesting twist to depict it as Aemon taunting, and not intentionally killing Luc. It was depicted as purposeful in the book, and I'll wager thats because his ego will not let him admit he fuked up...but I may be wrong. We'll see next season. I do love the way Ewan Mitchell is playing Aemon One-Eye. Its cool to see him playing a villain after playing such a good guy as "Baby Monk" in The Last Kingdom. ✌️
The strong boys are Targaryen, they are not velaryon. Since the targaryens were one of the dragon lord families in Valyria, only they can ride dragons. Velaryons are also from Valyria, but they were never dragon lords and didn’t have the blood/fire magic that the other dragon lords possessed.
@@michaelnkomphela8231 Yes they are? Their mother is literally a Targaryen? If you want to get technical, they also still have a good amount of velaryon blood as well since the targaryens have been marrying with house velaryon even before the conquest. Aegon the 1st mother was velaryon and so was king jaherys.
The crown was also discussed. Perhaps this has been clarified but just in case, Aegon II's crown is Aegon, The Conquerors'. Rhaenyra's of course was Visery's (smuggled by Erryk).
At the end, Rhaenyra had the same look on her face as Dhaenerys did right before she started burning down King's Landing. Rhaenyra told Daemon she couldn't start a war because she's angry. She'll be eating those words next season and Daemon will finally get his war.
Blake staring, wide-eyed and unblinking, into the camera at the start of the video...😂😂😂 As soon as I noticed it, I was like, "what the f**k is he doing?" I literally stared back at him to see how long he could go without blinking his eyes. 😂😂😂
I was like wtf when daemon choked rhaenyra 😂 but I truly understand where he is coming from. He doesn’t want her to be as weak as her father. Viserys was too damn nice where he doesn’t have a backbone anymore. Daemon warned viserys that otto cannot be trusted and he didnt listen. And vermithor the dragon daemon was trying to get to fight on their side is king jahaerys (viserys&daemons grandfather) dragon the old king in episode 1. ❤️ RIP lucerys and arrax. Lucerys is too your and arrax is just a baby dragon 😢
The large dragon Daemon was singing to (can't remember its name) had belonged to the old King, the one before Viserys so it has no rider..it's an old dragon like Vagar and is suppose to be the 2nd biggest dragon.
@X S What are trying to tell me here? Are you high or have you fallen victim to reading some leaked script that does not even exist yet? Cause, for one, you see, that wasn't the dragon pit. Or am I just completely understanding you wrong?
Rhaenys was waiting to talk to her husband. She wouldn’t kneel until she was sure. She has her differences with both women but she was gaining respect for Rhaenyra as she responded with restraint and in opposition to all the men (opposite of Alicent). Also, Otto didn’t play the Alicent card. That was Alicent still being hopeful their care for one another would prevent bloodshed. Also, Rhaenyra’s kids are Targaryen that’s why they can dragon ride. They are Valaryeons. That’s the bee in the bonnet. Finally, Daemon was wrong pretty much the whole episode but because he never received the same charge about uniting the realm + him wanting to always fight first.
It's the same as a dog. Doesn't matter the size. If a dog is treated and the other is taunting to fight, at one point, you will lose control, and they will try to defend themselves
Aegon's crown was not "new"; it was old; it was the crown of Aegon the Conqueror, the first Targaryen king. The crown that Ser Erryk brought was worn by King Jaehaerys I and then by his grandson King Viserys (Rhaenyra's dad).
Loved the reaction guys you’ve earned a loyal subscriber. If you remember Viserys tells Rhaenyra “the idea that we control the Dragons is an illusion”.
Mates, is not dumb not to kill Otto when he was delivering a message from the "king". He was acting as a messenger and negotiator. Back in medieval times, it was not allowed to kill a messanger for the act itself was a declaration of war. Furthermore, Rhaenys could and should not have burned the Greens when she had the chance, she does not make the decisions for the House Velaryon, to wich she belongs and shes is not the want usurped of a throne, she is correct in letting Rhaenyra decide. By killing the Greens she would start a war between Driftmark against House Hightower and the loyalists of Aegon II. She is not the leader of her House, her husband is, he alone can make a decision regarding their future and choice of wich side they should support.
Rhaenys has never been on Allicents or the greens side. Even in ep 8, she told Rhaenyra she must stand alone, so she wasnt on anyone side until Viserys came to support Rhaenyra. She agreed to Baela & Rhaena being bethrothed to Jace & Luke. So not sure why u ever thought she was team Green. She may not of always supported Rhaenyra but doesn't mean she was for the hightowers, so she never switched sides in ep 9. Hence why Allicent came to make a plea for Rhaenys to join team Green instead. & no Rhaenyra lost her first girl baby with Daemon. Her only daughter Visenya. She's such a strong woman, even after all this loss & betrayal. R.i.P sweet dragon boy Lucerys 🖤
I’m not trying to shade but one thing that motivates me to watch this group’s reaction is how they seemed to be so slow in catching things😂 it’s absolutely entertaining! Anyhow, RIP Luke and Arrax😢
The thing that people misunderstands is that Targaryens control their dragons, they DO NOT, viserys said it in the very first episode, the riders are bonded but they cannot control them, dany couldn't turn drogon ehen it didn't want to, balerion took its rider to old valeria, silverwing won't fly past the wall even when its rider wanted it to, grrm in his books gave numerous examples that Targaryens cannot control them, they can ride them but cannot control them, they are sentient creatures with their own minds and insticts. The dragon bond however tells a lot in this ep, they showed how syrax could feel rhaenyra's pain when she was giving birth, which means vhagar could feel aemond's hatred for luke, but as a human even if we want to kill someone we don't do it, but dragons don't measure such consequences of war as humans, likewise arrax could feel luke that luke was afraid ( and in the books it is mentioned unlike horses that run away from danger, a dragon's first instinct is to attack) and hence arrax attacked, and vhagar also acted upon its instinct and killed arrax and luke. As of aemond, he didn't been to war, while vhgar has been to war, and aemond miscalculated and thought i might just fuck around with luke, but vhagar being a dragon, it did what dragons do, it killed its enemy. Thats why George in his books said that "we control the dragons is an illusion" P.S that dragon that daemon was singing to is vermithor, daemon's grandfather, king jaehaerys's dragon, second largest dragon after vhagar, and it'll be used by the blacks.
In the book Rhaenyra gave birth to a deformed stillborn daughter, she was born with dragon scales and a tail, same thing happend to Daenerys in Game of Thrones. All Targaryens gave birth to dragon babys. Perhaps this is because the pregnancy is not complete, Rhaenyra was still far from reaching 9 months of pregnancy.
Otto didnt want the war, he wanted to eliminated them so that there is no war. Otto's move was the best, you go in and get rid of your opposition before they can be ready.
I mean Rhaenyra was seriously considering the deal. Aemond started the war. Alicent's kids really need to learn restraint. All Aemond was supposed to do was deliver the message from the greens offering a marriage for their loyalty. That's allllllll. Alot was riding on Aemond understanding what's at stake enough to keep his cool.
There is many people blaming Rhaenyra for sending her children off to do messenger duties. I don't blame Rhaenyra for sending her son Lucerys to storms end, storms end is close and the chances for Aemond to have been there was very small, Aemond could have easily been at House Stark or at the Tally's instead. I think it is just pure bad luck that Aemond happened to be there already. If any of the other greens was at storms end none of this would happen because the realm was still in peace that also why Rhaenyra sent her children because the realm still in peace and they were send as messengers not as negotiators or as warriors. Neither Daemon and Rhaenys was able to go instead because they had their own errands to run. So sad that Aemond and Lucerys both lost control over their dragons. And if Aemond did not tease Lucerys then none of this shit would have happened. Aemond just started a war and he knows it. Alicent Hightower going to be very disappointed with Aemond 🤣.
Vhagar came at Aarax first by trying to chop his head off twice then Aarax retaliated by throwing fire. You people are not paying attention slow the scenes down and look again. In any case this war was started by that obnoxious, arrogant idiot Aemond. He should have never gone after Luke in the first place. 😒 Dragons are not toys they are weapons of destruction they shouldn't be trifled with.
Yeah, Aemond failed to consider that the dragon under him was a hardened war beast that had personally killed thousands and burned entire kingdoms in the time of the Conquest. It's like giving a sentient hydrogen bomb to a teenager. There's simply no available scenario that's going to end well.
Aegon wears a different crown because alicent chose to give him Aegon the Conqueror’s crown instead of the one viserys wore as that one was more for “peaceful kings”
Actually he is wrong. Without _Daenys The Dreamer_ they (Targaryens) would all be dead. They would have died 12 years after she convinced her father of her prophesies... in _The Doom!_
Also to note, I've read that the crown falling from Viserys's head in the previous episode was an accident, but Matt Smith stayed in character and they continued filming the scene... The improv made it much more emotional and helped us connect as viewers. It was also Matt's idea to approach Rhaenyra in the last scene, using no words to convey what just unfolded. The guy is brilliant!
The dragon that daemon was singing to is verminthor and he is the 2nd largest dragon in the realm, he belonged to the old king before viserys, now he is riderless
This was a great finale to a amazing season, and I enjoyed the change they made in comparison to the book F&B. Now the events will make a lot more sense especially with the decision makings pre & during the dance, and them not being in full control of their dragon's ties in to the lore of ASOIAF.
King Viserys warned in the 1st episode that it's an illusion that humans can control the dragons ("The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion. They're a power man should never have trifled with. One that brought Valyria its doom.") 🤔 We saw in this episode that Aemond messed up thinking he could instigate the dragons & that there wouldn't be consequences for playing with these beasts. Aemond may just have wanted to scare the kid but, realized "I done F***ed up!" 😬It's definitely war now. ⚔⚔🐲🐉🔥🔥
Well, how right is Daemon really? If it weren't for the prophetic dreams of Daenys, then Aenar and the rest of the Targaryen family wouldn't have left Valyria for Dragonstone roughly a decade before the Doom, and there wouldn't be any Targaryen at all. It's a bit tragic that Daemon, who really wants to embrace his Valyrian nature, should miss this, and that he instead continues to ascribe all the actual magic occurring around him to superstition, despite having a rather magical connection to dragons himself.
the only thing i find that The Blacks did wrong was just send these kids to prominent houses with nothing to offer. Like have some offers ready to go in your back pocket.
I think Aemond had sorrow as well as an oh Sht moment it was his nephew and he’s still a kid himself. People get mad at Aemond but thing is it was just jumpstarted since the war would have happened anyways, Daemon wouldn’t allow someone not from immediate bloodline on the throne
The "Aemond was just messing around and it got too far" rhetoric is not it. Rhaenyra was giving birth and we saw Syrax in pain. When Daemon got hit by a flaming arrow in episode 3, Ceraxes felt it. Dragons FEEL the emotions of their rider. Are you gonna tell me that Aemond's emotions did NOT influence Vhagar's "choice" of eating Luke? Also the "Arrax blew fire first" comments are disingenuous because we can all agree Arrax was as nervous as Luke(dragons connected to their rider). Aemond is also the DRAGON RIDER OF VHAGAR. We can all say Luke and Arrax were panicked etc., but why are people not blaming Aemond? His hostility OBVIOSULY influenced the dragon but i seen ppl blaming Luke? Lol You Greens have it coming
You said you don't blame Rhaenys for switching sides after they imprisoned her. I don't think she was ever team Green. If you go back to episode 8, she stood up for Rhaenyra & Luc and agreed to have her granddaughters marry Luc & Jace. I think from that point on she was team Black.
This scene goes back to where the series tell Rhaenyra it was an illusion that Valerian and Targaryen controls dragons. Iraq’s was scared. He was trying to protect his rider so he blew fire at Vagher now Wenger went completely against his stronger rider, and he ate Rhaenyra, sis, youngest son, and a baby dragon, and drew first blood in this war. This is what this Siri’s shadowed we do not control the motherfucking dragon. It’s an allusion, and this scene proves that at thousand fold. No one controls the dragon but the dragons
There’s 3 unclaimed riderless dragons Silverwing and Vermithor were the old King and Queen’s dragons and Seasmoke is at Driftmark. This was Vermithor. We haven’t seen the other wild dragons who’ve never been claimed.
The reaction of Alicent reacting towards Lucaerys death was “Alicent’s face went pale as she said “may mother have mercy on us all” Otto was “Aemond, you lost 1 eye how can you be so blind?”
It's easy to intimidate a hatchling when you're a 200year old war vet dragon. Too easy. It's also easy to forget that as a small inexperienced dragon, that has bonded with his rider from birth will try to protect him even when he's this small. Lucerys could hardly see anything through the storm, he was relying solely on his dragon. Where it not for Aemond's attempt to scare them, Arrax would never have attacked for no reason. But he had to protect his owner. And Vhagar could not take fire from this puppy and do nothing about it.
the dragon that daemon was singing to is called 'Vermithor the bronze fury' and it's last rider was jaehaerys who was the king we saw in the first episode opener. I think it's the second largest dragon alive
To be fair, Damon did not want to talk to the Meister’s because he’s already faced the decision with a Lena where she could not deliver. He already knows the horrific decision. His brother made to bring the baby out of his queen. He does not want to have to make that decision, so he’s gonna focus on what he knows how to do you, and not something he is completely in equipped to deal with.
Understand that had Rhaenys done that, Rhaenyra could have DISSOCIATED herself from her, leaving the Valyrian House to deal with the 'repercussions' of her actions on their own. The Valryians are NOT really a part of the Realm, they were there BEFORE the Targaryen Household even arrived in Westros and because they are of Old Valryra and they command the sea they are more EQUALS to the the Targaryens. This is why Rhaenys didn't 'bow' before Rhaenyra, she didn't have to bow until her husband AGAIN swore 'fealty' to the Targaryens. They are the only House with that much power.
If She Attacks The Baratheon seat then the rest likely wont fallow her. They would side with Aegon and It be like Corlys said they dont have enough men to win.
The irony of the dragon scene at the end, for me, was that Aemond being blinded by his hatred for Luc is what actually starts the war... Ironic, since he has but one eye, the other having been taken by Luc...
Omg I can’t tell y’all how much I enjoy this show! I love these dragons and characters so much! Gotta say after watching GOT I rather prefer this pace a lot more even tho I loved GOT
With the backlash to season 8 they had no way to expect the success of this show. Before it started the general consensus was that it wouldn’t be great, my own expectations were rather low, so they definitely needed to wait til it opened to pick up a second season, hopefully they just pick up the remainder of the cycle and we won’t have to wait as long. However, the amount of dragon battles coming up will take a really long time to get correct.
Daemon choked her in attempt to snap her out of this stupid stale attitude she has that's like her father. It was literally a weakness of his & it's the reason a war will start now. His inaction allowed the Greens to gain this power. Daemon doesn't want a similar fate to fall on her. He's also lashing out a little for feeling overlooked again by his brother not telling him this secret dragon dream. I mean let's really consider this here, the entire reason they let Laenor leave & risked turning Corlys & Rhaenys against them is because she needed Daemon to help her against the Greens. I mean she literally says "I need you uncle I can not face the Greens alone". He agrees & now the time is here, these fuckers have usurped the Iron Throne, basically spitting on Viserys grave, and she's considering accepting the Greens terms? Basically surrendering? I'd be pissed off if I were Daemon as well. She's literally being naive to the point of stupidity just like her dad. Daemon was preparing for this fight the moment they married because that's what she needed him for & he feels like she's going back on her word to him. I mean the choking part aside I'm with Daemon here. He was on point this entire episode. The only thing (again choking aside) that I may not have done was kill Otto like Daemon wanted to. Because I wouldn't want to deliver the first strike in the war. Plus it's super dishonorable to kill the messenger. Rhaenyra (And Alicent suffered this same stupidity last episode) is being naive to think there's anyway this goes peaceful with her ending up on the Throne. And it's even dumber to think the Realm is safer under Aegon who she knows is a drunk fool who isn't even aware of the prophecy. What was she going to get him alone & tell him & expect him to actually take it seriously? I'm against Daemon choking her. But she forgave it & understood. It's not the sign of a consistent toxic relationship thing since it wasn't a book story. It's most likely a one time foul up to remind us that Daemon is still a rouge. In this fictional setting I'm looking past it & still loving Daemon. Until we see otherwise that is. (And while they've made book changes nothing so far that effects the end result. Aemond accidentally killing Luke still ends with Luke dead, Daemon killing his wife still results in her dead, Laenor not dying still results in him being gone from the story, etc...) The above said, I do think she needed a wake up call & I do think he realized he over did it. Daemon went to see Vermithor the second largest Dragon. Not to sure why, I really hope it's to claim or at least attempt to claim a 2nd Dragon. But it could also be to get the Dragon used to humans again for the war. At least the loss of control of the Dragons makes since. Arrax is basically a baby probably less than 5 years old getting chased aggressively by this giant monster over 150 years old. Arrax knows Vhagar is being used to scare/harm them so out of fear it lashes out with fire. That attack triggers Vhagar to go assault mode. BUT, I do fully blame Aemond for this. He shouldn't have been so stupid as to bring this 150 year old living Nuke of a Dragon on a chase to scare his nephew. Sure they both lost control of their Dragons but Luke is a child riding a child Dragon being chased by a giant war machine monster. It's understandable on his & his Dragons part that they got scared. It should've been understood by Aemond that Vhagar is no dog able to be controlled by stern yells. Vhagar lived during the Conquest, burned literal cities & towns to the ground. Brought lords & Kings to their knees. Aemond fucking knows that yet still was so stupid to believe he could play a cat & mouse game with this beast? Ultimately Aemond may not have meant to kill Luke, which is a change I like, it's still his fault 100%.
I thought it was pretty obvious why he was upset.. although I disagree that she'd be identical to her father & it is definitely a toxic relationship, but it's pretty difficult to have any healthy relationships in a world like this, so it works fine & I enjoy them a lot. Daemon just needs to check his emotions & not lash out irrationally. He's certainly no villain.
@@d3l3tes00n I wasn't saying she'd be like her father. I'm saying she was acting with his inaction like attitude this episode. Logically speaking there's no other way for her to get the Throne now without war. Aegon has been crowned & won't just give it up now. The Greens made the opening moves & Daemon's right to be preparing for the fight. Eh idk about it def being toxic. It was a toxic moment but other than this their relationship since marriage has been A+
"Stupid stale attitude" literally stfu cut her some slack. She lost her father and baby and he couldn't give her a break. In the book, it was Rhaenyra who wanted war immediately and Daemon was the one hesitating so maybe think about that.
Choking aside, I agree that Daemon's plan was the best option and would've spared them Luke and future bloodshed. I get that Rhaenyra didn't want war but the greens already declared war by taking her crown. If Alicent had talked to Rhaenyra first to explain then there would be room for negotiation but this was not the case. Anyway, great breakdown by the way :)
Viserys nous l'avait dis dans l 'episode 1: " les targaryens ne contrôlent pas les dragons". J'espère qu'ils respecterons les personnages dans la saison 2.
You could read the first half of the book if you want. It starts with Aegon's conquest and you could read all the way up until the death of Visarys without spoiling the rest.
teamdaemon because he is the only one who knows that the hightowers have been the problem from the beginning he told his brother I will take care of anyone but his brother I never trust him and there is the result that is what I like about daemon's character because that he can be good or bad with anyone but the only thing that matters to him is his family and he does everything possible to protect them
As we saw in Game of Thrones, Daenerys controlled three dragons, there is nothing saying demon who is 100% valerian blood a Targaryen blood could not find with another dragon. Nothing is said that there is a only one dragon option. So I really hope we see vermithor with Daemond kicking ass.
Then dragon that Damon is singing to you is verimithor that is king Jahari’s dragon, that he is trying to bond with, and if you look at his eyes at the very end of this scene with him, they bond, which means that he and verimithor 27:19 could cause Hell of problems
Hey new subscriber! I know I'm late 🤭 but the reason why it'll take longer to come out is because now the dance of the dragon's begins! That's a ton of dragons and locations that are going to have to be cg-ed/ filmed atop still abiding by Covid health guidelines, etc.
No, the lil Man lucerys and he doesn’t want doesn’t want drift mark because it means that everyone else’s dead and considering he gets green sick without even getting on the water he’s probably not feeling very much like a sailor at this point
IDK why so many people are like: it was the dragon, not Aemond. The show is great, but I find the writing sometimes not consistent (thanks to the fact that each episode is made by someone else etc.). Daemon and Aemond are standouts to me. Like that choking scene, what was that lol? Or him killing his wife in the vale. Or choosing to portray Aemond as anything other but a dickhead. The face he makes after that horrible chase ends is just funny - what did he think would happen? And what were the writers thinking? Are we going to blame just the dragons now, yeah? There are also his emotions feeding into this, so it's funny their choice was to make him "lose control" or whatever. They softened him here, in the books it's clear what he wants to do to Lucerys and that he does not care about kinslaying. And he is what here, 19? Not a child. Lucerys: "I will not fight you. I came here as an envoy, not a knight." Aemond: "You came here as a craven and a traitor. I will have your eye or YOUR LIFE, Strong." (Also Borros's daughter Maris taunted Aemond, asking him if Lucerys had removed his balls as well as his eye, and Aemond became enraged. And one version of history claims Aemond located Lucerys's corpse and removed both of his eyes to present them to Lady Maris(Borros's daughter) on a bed of seaweed. So make of that what you will.)
To answer your question, the war last 2 years but the future seasons will have a slower pace. Season 1 was only the set up, and there are no going back after Luke's death. In the books it's not an accident but it doesn't make quite sense why Aemond decides to kill him by his own accord, as it is kingslaying and will start the war. So making it a mistake is much much better. It's 2024 because HBO did not know the series would be that successful, and season 2 will require A LOT of post production.

Rhaenys kills people on a dragon because collateral. “Come onnn show restraint this is pathetic” Aemond kills a Prince on a dragon because of lack of emotional control. “Awe well he tried” Haha it’s definitely a perspective, but might as well drop the ecumenical “middle ground” approach and just admit in real life you’d be set criston
