helaena has always been emotionally detached and doesn’t regulate her emotions like most people. and the boy who died was Jaehaerys.

Daemon basically said to take any son if they couldn't find Aemond. In the trailer of the next episode there's a bit where Rhaenyra is arguing with him about it.

in the books there is 2 boys she picks which one to kill they kill the other one so the one that lives knew his mom wanted him dead

I really appreciate these reaction videos. As someone who read the book before the tv show was even greenlit, I haven't really had the joy of surprise and true initial reaction. Yes daemon did say to find and kill aemond but cheese also asked what if they can't find aemond? But we never got daemons response. That's why the other guy said a son for a son.

It wasn't shown on camera but Daemon instructed "A Son For A Son" If Aemond wasn't found, the Prince was to be killed by Daemons orders. Watch back, the rat guys asks "What if we can't find him, and Daemon just smirks back. Then the big guy later says "He said a son for a son" Daemon is pure evil.

Did you not pay attention? The first room they went to was aemond it’s implied in the show to lil aegon’s heir if they could get aemond but in the books they actually came for the heir and not aemond
