That's why this scene was stupid ,they showed again how easy it is to get into king's landing without problem and that Rhaenyra has plot armor and she is whitewashed that she is like Septa.Death of both sides did nothing to them when in the end of last season she looked pissed it is gone and she is avoiding war again ,they are scared to show dark Rhaenyra and her character will suffer from it

And if you're referencing that scene where he notices the quick interaction between Alicent and Cole being given her handkerchief, that's nothing and Gwayne, after being saved by Cole's quick thinking, could later on grill him a bit about that event with his sister and what's Colen relation with her yadda yadda just out of curiosity. The thing is that the writers have nerfed book Cole. He beat Gwayne( champion of the Greens at the time) Daemon, the Cargyll twins, Harwin and Joffrey Lonmouth at the tourney. He is a great warrior and trained Aemond to be as good as he is even with one eye. The writers have an obvious bias towards the black. I wont say why but let's just say Rhaenyra is more gray and a spitfire than she is in tv. And Cole would have been more interesting, because he started like Ned and perhaps young Jamie. Not the "incel" that hates hot women that redditors, twitter cat moms and bluehaired skittles try to paint him as(first, it would be volcel. Incel has lost meaning cause nitwits throw it around so casually for long. Its like when the news and mainstream try to use memes. Pure cringe) . In a world where honor and oath are not some abstract concepts, but have so much weight, he is not some "le toxic masculinity" brute. They are professional credentials. And dismissing them have severe penalties, including torture and execution. People fail to realize how Cole felt that Rhaenyra didnt give a fuck about him, even after telling her he would give it all away for her, a guy whoe has achieved so much so young for his family, and she put him in such an awful situation regarding his honor putting him in an awful situation and is deeply insulted by this. He snaped and was to the point of killing himself til Alicent stops him. He feels he owes his life to her yadda yadda. So he started innocent and all about honor like Jamie then saw the ugly side and turned to post kingslaying Jamie a bit. Not just Cole, the writers have also nerfed many others including Rhaenys. Anyway, Gwayne couls just be suspicious/mad at Cole in their first encounter because of Cole being a nobody lowborn noble from a nothing house and now took away Gwayne's daddy's position and is in good grace witj his nephew Aegon. But having his ass saved might change his tune possibly.

Rhaenys was pointing out the fact that whether or not Rhaenyra actually did order the hit, she is being blamed for it. So Rhaenyra is being a little unfair in that moment to Alicent, because obviously she didn’t order Aemond to kill Luke.

What's wrong with the ending?

Totally disagree and a bit shocked I'm seeing this opinion going around. I think the ending was absolutely necessarily for both of their arcs and for the closure they both needed before the absolute chaos that was to come. Alicent needed to know the truth about her misinterpretation and Rhaenyra needed to be sure that the war that is to come is based on her belief that her father did indeed want her to be successor and have this war mean something, and not just be blinded by her pride.

@@nikkinzy as a book fan I hated it since Rhaenyra is being so hesitant to go to war. I also thought the writing was awful and I already hated the fact that this war is happening because of a misunderstanding. It just makes Alicent look dumb and takes away from her character. I’m glad you liked it though.
